Hiei's Harem - Pt. 13 - Inheriting

Okay. Here we are at the next sequel. As always, please pay heed to the warnings, they’re not there for show. Every single one may not appear in every sequel, but the story as a whole will contain them in some form.

Scene 1 ----------- Two Weeks Later


* For the past two weeks everything has gone fairly routine in the Barren Lands. The Koorime has been around to check on nearly every pack, both openly and secretly. Only a couple of the lower alphas had dared to test his strength. Both meeting their quick demise, of course. So it has come to pass that Hiei’s control of not only the Boar pack and the remnant of the Rat clan, but the whole region has steadily increased. Life in his personal haven, the ravine, has not been as easily controlled, though. Sylk continues to be a constant concern for him as she continues her isolation in the West Wall cave. The only thing improving with her is her slow accepting of Hiei’s presence and position. But with the Panther demoness’ seperation and condition, Sarista has moved habitually back into her former role as the Alpha Female around the main cave. Hiei notices this, and it doesn’t sit well with his instincts of wanting to protect both of his mates. Even from each other. But he finally decides to just monitor the situation. Today he is relaxing on a boulder, in the Waterfall Meadow, watching River and a small group of his other children being shown how to do katas. Hiei’s red eyes follow their instructor’s every move as the black Kitsune vixen moves fluently through each movement. Although her golden eyes are studying her students, making sure they do the moves correctly, she is well aware of her observer. When she does a slow turn she briefly catches Hiei’s gaze and winks before continuing through with the movement. The Koorime smirks and looks to his side where Staci is laying. The human is sleeping so soundly that she doesn’t even budge when he blinks down beside her and leans to make sure she’s comfortable. His eyes next fall on River. His oldest daughter is growing up and maturing rather quickly. Although she’s still barely the height of his waist, she is still becoming very strong in her energy and various talents. Her powers, they’re discovering, seems to be an almost even balance of fire and ice. Something that both he and Sarista agree is fairly unusual. Her looks, though, are nearly identical to her sire’s. The only noticable difference being in her hair. Although it is black and spiky like Hiei’s, the older she gets the more the aqua-green highlights of her mother’s hair shows. It’s also continuing to grow, thus giving it a bent appearance at the end of each spiky tuft. The small girl also notices Hiei’s attention and smiles at him.

* Hiei smirks proudly and nods. He’s come to accept the fact that all of these children are his. With his dominant nature and appearance so evident in each of them he’s deemed it foolish to continue the path of denial. He senses another presence approaching and looks up when Coutaro enters the meadow quickly enough to halt the activity Hiei was observing.


Hiei- What now?

Coutaro- There’s something coming!

Hiei- Something?

Coutaro- Reports say it looks like a.. giant.. bug of some sort, sir.


* Hiei scowls a moment then stands.


Hiei- D---! What the h--- does she want now?


* Before Coutaro can question Hiei blinks away. The Lynx twin glances toward the others then turns and leaves.
