Saikai No Chi To Bara- Reunion of Blood and Roses
~*~ Welcome everyone. This is a project that I have had haunting me since I begun Shadow Lover. I don’t know why, but the idea of this story seems to stick with me. Considering the way I have planned it, it’s going to be about… hmmm twenty chapters long. The prologue of which you are about to read is set in the right now time frame, though in chapter 1 and chapter 2 you will be within the void of Hiei’s dream. Then with Chapter three you will return to the time frame of the prologue. I hope it doesn’t confuse you too much. I am hoping this to be exactly what the song in this chapter says… “A new tale of Malice and Misery.” Each chapter will have a song to it. Only the prologue song is greatly needed to understand the scene, so if you have one of those pay download hosts then go and download it by all means. All I am saying is the song will better bring you into the story… especially if you have not heard it before. Trust me… I wrote it like this for a reason. Regardless I do hope you enjoy the story, and I hope I capture you into the tale of malice and misery with this Prologue. Please review… and I look forward to hearing from you. The lyrics will be written in English since I will believe you to have gone and downloaded the song from me. The song I will repost... probably later today~*~
Disclaimer: I do not own Yu Yu Hakusho nor any of the characters from Yu Yu Hakusho. I also do not own any of the songs used in this story from here on out…they are owned by Malice Mizer and Moi Dix Mois and their respective managements and recording companies. The plot; however, does belong to me and this is nothing more than a piece of my fictional imagination shared with the masses. Please no suing.
Prologue
He stood in silence, red eyes fixed upon the marble stone in front of him reading the words over and over again, as they began to repeat themselves in his head like a mantra. It was so hard to believe… he felt ill just standing here. There was nothing he could have done to save that which had not wanted to be saved… nothing he could have done to hold the one he loved close to him. Hands clenched in a fist as he remembered the closing off of bright gold color orbs, and the last breath that passed lips with three simple words.
“I love you.”
He was gone… He was gone…
The sound of the choir picked up out of the darkness, as if they knew of the being standing on the outside of their sanctuary. The organ resounded out flickering over the night caressing the being who would never dare to set foot inside such a holy place, but it was his pain that brought the words forth from one of the choir members, a man who felt the words spring up from his heart to pour fourth.
"In the pitch black darkness, a huge sanctuary arises in the vacant space of memory guided by the rose, thunder resounds......dawning a new era of the tale of malice and misery.”
The organ played again, even as the being clad in shadows and black cape stood with eyes full of blood red tears that would not fall. He could not cry. He had cried when he watched his love die, he had cried his soul to pieces at the final goodbye. Mist rolled in thick waves about him, and for a moment obscured the view of his love’s gravestone, as he stood alone, bereft, and heartbroken in a night full of thunder and rain. The water flowed over his form in thick sheets as the downpour met him, and yet he still felt nothing… nothing but the emptiness of a mate he never had been allowed to claim.
“The overlapping shadows in this swaying moonlight” the man sung the words softly, reaching out around those within the church and holding close even as a female stepped beside him and sung her lines, her voice as sweet as that of an angel promising mercy.
“Just like mist, this illusionary scene reflects the dream of that day.” They had joined together at the reflection of the dream of that day.
The choir raised their heads just as the being did outside looking up at the thundering sky, their voices reaching out even as the being let a single blood red tear fall before the organ resounded yet again dancing about his soul and echoing his sorrow.
"In this mist of time, a huge sanctuary arises carried by the eternal wind, you can hear the sound of the bell's melody your blood is changed to the rose of memory here, the place of our sweet promise.” It was as if the man was making a promise to the being outside through god himself. The words were ever true… the being’s mate had indeed been a rose who now would haunt his memories.
“Illuminating these labyrinth corridors, the candle's shadows... “
“In the dark chapel, by the flowing lullaby's melody,”
“They are extinguished.” These final words were sung together before violins and the darkened sound of the music took over raising their voices to the sky they finalized their sacred prayer of eternal reunion.
“The darkness illuminated by the sacred light was colored by the rose. The requiem dawning the eternity of time, the mysterious prayer...the darkness illuminated by the sacred light was colored by the rose, the requiem dawning the eternity of time, the prayer of reunion...”
The being clenched his fists and let a cry rise to the sky at the loss of his made once more as thunder clasped and the choir’s voice faded in soft awes and the sound of the thunder clasping once more before the lightening flashed lighting up the scene outside where the being stood showing the features of a man dressed in black with a touch of white, his pale features lit up showing off blood red eyes that spilled blood tears down pale cheeks, as the words on the gravestone stared back at him.
