Hiei's Harem - Pt. 10 - Initiating

Scene 9 --------- The Main Cave


* When Hiei enters the clearing he hears laughter. He pauses to look toward the vine hammock that is swinging gently. Lily is laying in it with River, tickling the small girl with her tail and fingers. Hiei makes his way toward the hammock. He pauses at the table to check Gamaru who is laying on his back on the low, wide wooden plank. When Hiei touches his chest Gamaru opens his eyes slowly.


Hiei- Gam?


* Gamaru swallows.


Gamaru- Th-this.. is the only thing.. I'm comfortable on.

Hiei- I'm not concerned about where you are, but how you are.

Gamaru- I've been in.. misery.. all day.


* Celestia comes over to lean on the table beside Gamaru.


Celestia- Do you think you're in labor, Gam?

Gamaru- No.. N-not yet.. Won't be.. long, though.

Hiei- Hn. Your brother said the same thing.


* Hiei looks at Gamaru's belly and notes that it's much larger than Troiyoku's. The apparition presses the spike of concern to the back of his mind, then continues over to the hammock leaving Gam to Celestia's care. Lily looks up at Hiei and River holds her tiny hands up for him to pick her up.


Hiei- It's good to hear you laugh again, Fox.

Lily- It's this daughter of yours.. She takes after her mother so much.


* Hiei smirks.


Hiei- Hn. Luckily enough for all of you.. I was a holy terror at her age.


* River growls for attention and Hiei leans to snuffle her tiny, clawed hands.


Hiei- I can't take you right now, River. I need to go speak with your Aunt 'Rista.

Lily- Go ahead.. It's supposed to be this little one's nap time.


* River glares at the black Kitsune.


Hiei- Hn. You be good and take your nap, brat.


* He gives the swing a gently push then heads into the cave. Inside, Trinka is pacing with a cranky Sarhi. Sarista is nursing Hisari in her alcove. Hiei moves to Trinka when she turns toward him.


Hiei- What's your problem, Sarhi?


* Sarista looks up as Hiei places a hand on the fussing boy's head.


Sarista- He's fighting sleep, as usual.

(#) Trinka- He's such a restless baby.

Hiei- Did he nurse?

Sarista- He emptied one breast, this one is draining the other.


* Hiei nods and looks back at Sarhi.


Hiei- Stop your fussing and sleep, boy.


* Sarhi rubs his eyes with his clenched fists. Trinka allows Hiei to take him.


Hiei- I need to speak with your Mother privately, Trinnie.. Thanks for helping her.


* Trinka nods, allows Hiei to give her a brief kiss, then leaves rubbing her back. Hiei moves into the alcove and lays Sarhi in the basket Lily made for them. The small boy tries to get to his feet, but Hiei holds him down firmly.


Hiei- No. You will stay in here and get your sleep.


* Sarista notices that Hisari's eyes are drifting shut when his nursing lessens. She works him off of her easily and places him into the basket beside Sarhi. Immediately the fussing boy rolls and embraces his twin. In a matter of moments both boys are asleep. Hiei then finds himself being leaned against. He feels his Alpha mate's weariness and raises a hand to caress her cheek.


Hiei- I need to speak with you, 'Ris.

Sarista- So speak.. I just need the contact.

Hiei- If it weren't important..


* Sarista raises back up.


Sarista- Fine. I'm listening.

Hiei- I went to see the brothers to get some idea of which pack to make my first move on.

Sarista- I thought you already have Matsua's demise in the works.

Hiei- Hai.. He will fall soon.. But I've just learned.. that one of these.. alphas.. is a female.


* Sarista blinks at him a moment, then looks down at her sons thoughtfully.


Hiei- What do I do now? I'm not going to bring another Alpha Female in here.


* Sarista sighs and looks back up at him.


Sarista- If.. when you defeat her, you will have two choices..

Hiei- If you say 'mate her or kill her' I'm walking out of here, Woman.

Sarista- Okay. I do need to rest, anyway.


* Now Hiei blinks at her, then stands with a growl. Sarista watches him move away to begin pacing with his hands clenched together behind him. After a few moments he turns to look toward her again.


Hiei- What'll happen between the two of you..?

Sarista- I think you know the answer to that because you're already worked up.


* Hiei shakes his head and starts to turn away again.


Sarista- If you want to be the Ultimate..?


* A deep growl from him silences her.


Hiei- No.. I promised that I'd never endanger any of you.. I won't..

Sarista- Hiei,..

Hiei- No! That's my answer.. I'll just destroy Matsua for touching my friends.. Then be done with it.. What the h--- do I need another position for when I already renounced a greater one..?!


* Hiei leaves the cave continuing to ramble angrily at himself. Sarista rolls her eyes and lays back with a curse to stare up at the ceiling.
