Hiei's Harem - Pt 11 - Asserting

Scene 8 ----------- A Couple Hours Later


* Hiei looks up when Tachimaru brings him a wide leaf with some slices of the cooked deer meat on it.


Tachimaru- Hungry?


* He watches her stay as low as she can as she lays the leaf on the ground in front of him, showing her respect. She looks up at him when he doesn’t respond.


Tachimaru- You need to eat anyway.

Hiei- Meat on a leaf.

Tachimaru- The leaf is actually the best part.. According to Chevie.. But then, she is a veggie-eater.


* The Tigress gives the purring chuckle that niggles Hiei’s instincts in a manner that he’s not exactly in the mood to act on at the moment.


Hiei- Are all Tigers so.. jovial.. or is it just.. a personal thing for you?

Tachimaru- Nothing wrong with being happy, ya know.


* She glances a smile up at him. Hiei averts his eyes and lifts a piece of the meat to begin eating it with his usual monotoned grunt. She settles to sit in a more relaxed position


Tachimaru- But I suppose you don’t have much to be jovial about right now.

Hiei- I don’t wish to discuss it.


* Tachi tilts her head.


Tachimaru- You know, you could just go ahead and..

Hiei- No.

Tachimaru- Look, we’re not complete weaklings, sir..


* Hiei glares at her.


Hiei- Whether I planned it or not, you’re all my mates now.. And you’re pregnant.. It would be too vile even for me to abandon you.

Tachimaru- You’re the oddest male I’ve ever met.. Most males would’ve alredy used his energy to destroy these babies we’re..

Hiei- That won’t be happening, either.

Tachimaru- Even though they aren’t yours?

Hiei- For your information, I happen to know the males that had their.. essence stolen to produce your babies.. It’s a very good possibility that they have no remembrance of even having such an.. atrocity done to them.


* Tachi scowls. Hiei looks away from her again.


Hiei- So you women aren’t the only ones in this ordeal.. It would be stupid for me to punish any of you in such a way.

Tachimaru- Then you plan on telling these two guys, whoever they are, that we’re having their babies? Or do you plan on raising them as your own?


* Hiei is quiet for several moments as he considers the questions.


Hiei- When I decide on the answers to those questions I’ll be sure to let you know.


* They glance toward Sylk when she tosses and moans as if she’s in distress. When Hiei reaches over to touch her arm she calms down, but doesn’t regain consciousness. Another outburst draws their attention toward the other females. Eboni shoves a leaf of meat away from her.


Eboni- I said I’m not eating!

Loreen- Eboni, you have to eat.

Eboni- No, I don’t.. Just leave me alone, Loreen.


* Hiei sighs with exasperation then stands and goes over to them. Tachimaru follows quietly.


Hiei- What’s the problem here?


* Eboni crosses her arms and looks away to avoid his gaze.


Loreen- Eboni’s refusing to eat, Master.

Hiei- Your baby needs the nutrition, Girl.


* Eboni glances up at him timidly.


Eboni- What do you care? You don’t want me, why should you..?

Hiei- What the h--- are you yammering about?!


* Eboni stands and leaves to go sit beside her mother. Hiei scowls and looks up at Tachimaru again.


Tachimaru- Well, you did refuse her earlier.

Hiei- I refused her?

Chevaux- Are you really this dense?

Hiei- I’ve already marked her, haven’t I?

Loreen- You’ve marked all of us.. But you haven’t claimed any of us, but Sylk.


* Hiei blinks at the mottled-colored Leopardess.


Hiei- Claimed?

Chevaux- Marking is only half of the ritual.. I thought you were already an Alpha.

Hiei- I am.. I..

Tachimaru- He’s got a lot on his mind right now, Sisters.


* Hiei shakes his head.


Hiei- Hn. I do have enough to deal with.. Besides that, the girl is only thirteen years old..


* Another of the demonesses comes over to join the conversation.


Garnetia- What does that matter? I’m sixteen. You’re not going to claim me, either?

Loreen- I’m only eighteen..

Hiei- Silence!


* Hiei growls and struggles a bit to keep from flaring his dominating aura over them.


Hiei- Just eat your food, d--- it!


* He blinks away leaving all of the females looking at each other. Tachimaru sighs.


Tachimaru- As I said, he has a lot of.. issues.. Let’s just calm down and eat.. We all know that his instincts will eventually draw him to each of us in time.


* The Koorime watches Tachimaru settle the younger females down from the high branch that he’s now perched on. His ears have caught the Tigress’ words and he feels the effect they stir inside him. He closes his eyes to concentrate on dispelling his instincts as best he can.
