Hiei's Harem - Pt. 1 - Establishment

Scene 8 ------------------------------------------- A couple Hours Later


* Hiei wakes up again with a sense of dejavu. But this time he just raises up onto an elbow to look down at Sarista. He can't help but lean to sniff toward her curiously until he notices her mouth twitch into a soft smile.


Hiei- You're awake.


* Sarista opens her eyes to meet his as she nods.


Hiei- You no longer.. stink.

Sarista- Oh, well thank you. I think that's the nicest thing you've said to me, yet.


* Before Hiei can remark they both catch the presence nearby almost simultaneously. Hiei spins up onto one knee to face their observer with a growl, not bothering to close his cloak which somehow managed to stay on this time. Sarista sits up and nervously closes her dress. The lone demon lifts his nose to sniff deeply.


Demon- I think it's a most.. delicious scent, myself.

Hiei- Let me make this simple for you, Ugly.. Leave, you live. Stay, you die.


* Now the demon pretends to just notice Hiei.


Demon- Hmm? You talking to me, little boy? Aren't you this slut's child?

Hiei- I do not repeat myself!


* As the large, ugly demon weighs his options, in the main cave Troiyoku and Gamaru both jerk their heads up when they hear their mother's voice in their heads.


(#) Sarista- Boys! Come to the river! Bring the sword your Alpha left there! Quickly!


* In a blink, belying part of his heritage, Troiyoku snatches up Hiei's Kitanna and disappears.


Gamaru- Silis, D'Garo, hurry! To the river!


* The females who were preparing breakfast look up when the males come out of the cave.


Gamaru- Get in the cave! There's trouble at the river, Aunt Lily, you know what to do.


* Lily stands and glances off as the other females hurry into the cave. She follows them in and wills the vines to close over the entrance.


Lily- A rogue has wondered in.. Our new Alpha is confronting him.


* Back at the river, the large intruder finally seems to reach a decision.


Demon- I guess if I close my eyes and pretend you're a child you'll go down just as easily.


* Hiei glances around as the demon lowers his head and begins his charge. He only has a split second to gather Sarista up and blink to the other side of the drying rock. The demon just misses them, but his horn-filled head doesn't miss the rock. When it shatters Hiei has to shield Sarista from the debris after their thrown a few feet away. He raises up with a curse to check her.


Hiei- D--- it, this son of a b---- is getting on my nerves!


* The Koorime leaps to his feet and starts to reach for his sword, but it's not there.


Hiei- S---, my kitanna's..


* Hiei jerks backward when Troiyoku materializes in front of him. He passes the kitanna back to him, but keeps his eyes on the rogue who is shaking his head.


Troiyoku- Looking for this, Master?


* Hiei takes the sword then moves up beside the boy when the intruder roars and incinerates the rock rubble with a blast of energy.


Hiei- Oh, now he did it! That was my only shirt and pants I have with me.. Troyo,..

Troiyoku- Troiyoku.

Hiei- Whatever.. Take your mother and get out of here.. Things are about to get real ugly here.


* Hiei looks around when he's suddenly flanked by Gamaru and Silis.


Silis- We'll fight with you..

Hiei- Get out of here.. You weaklings aren't dying on my watch.. Troyo, do as I told you! Get your mother out of here!


* As soon as Troiyoku hurries back and gathers her up his nose tells him why his speed is important. D'Garo, who was hiding behind a tree follows him away.


Demon- Hey! Come back here with my breakfast!!


* Quicker than the remaining two males can keep track of, Hiei blurs over to head the intruder off. A second later the Koorime returns to his original place in a crouched position, but facing away from the battle area. He closes his eyes and listens as the young boys watch the remains of the large demon suddenly scatter as he gives a startled final scream. Hiei smirks and slowly stands.


Hiei- I love that sound.


* He turns to watch the scattered gore dissipate into dust.


Hiei- The fat ones always take a bit longer to disect.


* The two boys continue to stare toward the area where the demon fell.


Gamaru- There's.. nothing left..

Hiei- Hn. he wouldn't have tasted very good anyway. Too much blubber.

Silis- M-Master,.. I-I barely saw you.. move..


* Hiei flicks the blood from his sword and looks at the boys as he sheathes his sword.


Hiei- Starting tomorrow the four of you go into hell..


* They both look at him. Hiei smirks again.


Hiei- Otherwise called 'My Training'.

Gamaru- Training?!

Silis- Y-you're going to..?

Hiei- Hn.. The question is, whose hell will it really be? Yours, or mine.. D---, the s--- I get myself into.. Let's get back to the cave. Try to keep up.


* Hiei flits away. Gamaru and Silis look at each other.


Silis- I guess he doesn't know that the Alpha never makes his underlings strong.


* Gamaru shrugs.


Gamaru- Guess not.. But I'm not complaining.


* Gamaru, the largest of the four boys, chuckles darkly. Silis shakes his head as he watches Gamaru walk away, then follows.
