Chapter Five

Author's Note

Hey guys, I've only had like......three or four reviews and I'm on chapter five! Is there even a point in me continuing this? Cause to be honest, it feels like people aren't reading this.

I'm not trying to solicit more reviews or anything, I just want to know that this story has an audience.

I've started a new Naruto story called 'Gone', it's SasuNaru-ish, and I'm pretty much throwing all my attention into that one since I don't know if anybody is really interested in this one. Again, I'm not soliciting reviews, I'm just venting a bit.

Anyways!

Enjoy!

-----------------------------------------------------------

The day of Kurama’s wedding to Chiyoko came all too soon for Hiei, but not soon enough for Chiyoko and Kurama. Kurama had sought Hiei out the day before the wedding and again, had bent Hiei over and fucked him senseless. Hiei hadn’t been able to resist. The vines kept him trapped and forced to comply with the other male. Hiei could never say no the fox. Hiei had tried, he’d tried so many different times, but the fox had simply blown him off.

Now, as Hiei pulled on the suit, he growled at how stiff his body felt. Kurama had been brutal last night. Kurama had done it hard and fast with little lube. Hiei had secretly enjoyed it, even if he had been struggling the whole time to try and get away. When Kurama was done, he’d simply cleaned himself up, and left, leaving Hiei behind. He no longer even gave Hiei a kiss after. It was like Kurama no longer saw Hiei as his former lover, but a tool to just get his rocks off before he made gentle sweet love to Chiyoko. HIei had been nothing but a filler to slake Kurama’s lust and assure that he didn’t maul Chiyoko.

Hiei finished putting on the suit and followed Yusuke and Kuwabara as they entered the church. Hiei took his spot closest to Kurama like they’d told him to, and Hiei stiffened as he watched Kurama standing there in all his beauty. Hiei watched Kurama quietly, the tear gem he’d cried earlier for Kurama weighed heavily in his pocket. Hiei had turned it into a necklace, much like the one Hiei had around his neck that had been a gift from his mother. The only difference between them was that Hiei’s own gem was an onyx black with flecks of blood red in it. The one Hiei wore was a cool, icy blue, other than that, there was very little contrast between the two.

As Hiei studied Kurama, he saw just how happy Kurama was, and suddenly, Hiei couldn’t help but hate Kurama. Kurama had thrown him aside easily as if he were trash! Hiei hated feeling like he was trash! Growling under his breath, Hiei stood still, watching the procession as the tune began. Each step closer the bitch took made Hiei ache. He couldn’t identify what about it that made him ache, but he knew that he didn’t like it. No, he didn’t like it at all. Hiei clenched his fists. She was coming closer. The bitch that took his one chance at happiness away and Hiei knew that he would never let himself be vulnerable enough to have that kind of chance again. Yes, he should kill her. ’Kill her. Kill the bitch.’ A cold voice purred in his head. ’Kill anyone and everyone that gets in your way to get to your fox. Do it, do it now!’ Hiei took a half step forward, but before anyone could notice what he was doing, he was back in place, acting as if he had never left from his spot at all.

As Hiei’s murderous thoughts kept him distracted, he barely paid attention to the ceremony going on. He couldn’t care less. He didn’t want to be here anyways. Hiei was a cruel demon, but he would never have been as cruel as Kurama was being to him. But then again, the Youko’s cruelty was legendary, so Hiei knew better than to be surprised at what Kurama’s cruelty could do.

As Hiei’s musings ended, so did the ceremony, and as Hiei made himself focus on the ceremony, his eyes focused on them kissing. Everyone was cheering and smiling, happy. When Kurama smiled and turned to everyone, he stopped and gave Hiei an entirely different look. It was Kurama’s green eyes. But, Kurama’s green eyes had flecks of gold in them, and they were cold, ruthless, calculating. The smirk on Kurama’s lips was in place to, as if to throw more salt into Hiei’s wounds, which was exactly what Kurama was doing.

If it were possible, Hiei tensed up even more as daggers of imagined pain pierced his heart, Hiei glared right back at Kurama trying to show that he was okay and wasn’t hurt by Kurama’s antics. It failed because Kurama knew him so well and his response was to give a flirtatious toss of his hair before he led his new wife back down the aisle towards the exit so that they could go to the wedding dinner. As everyone left the church, Hiei remained where he stood, frozen to the spot with rage, and agony, although he couldn’t decide which had a stronger hold on him there. Finally Hiei moved when the church was completely empty. Hiei followed the crowds to the rented out ball room for the dinner party and celebration.

By the time Hiei got there, everything was in full swing and Hiei was not even missed. Feelings of bitterness and how easily he was forgotten welled up in him, only to be quashed as Hiei reminded himself that they would all die soon. He would be alive……and Kurama would be alive as well. Hiei walked into the ballroom, skirting tables to stand in the shadows when he heard his name called. Seeing Kurama beckon him over and smiling, Hiei’s breath caught. That smile, was it for him again? Like a starving man for food, he walked over. Kurama sat with his wife on the right, the seat on Kurama’s left was empty, and Kurama patted it, motioning for Hiei to sit. Hiei’s breath caught and rage filled him.

Bastard!

Hiei was no fool, he know what that meant! In demon circles when two demons mated or there was a formal dinner or a demon came calling, the Ruler sat always with his or her lover or mate on the right side. The left side was for the Demon ruler’s whore, second best choice, only good for their looks and for a fuck than their brains. It was a position of someone that was scum that was only good enough to be fucked and not loved. Because Kurama and Hiei were the only two demons that knew what it meant, no one understood why Hiei was taking so long to sit down. Yukina didn’t know because she had never dabbled in politics outside of the floating Island, so she didn’t understand either. The other demons that would have understood weren’t invited to the wedding. Even Yusuke didn’t understand why Hiei was taking so long to sit. Thinking it to be Hiei’s way of playing the ‘Holier than humans’ shit, Yusuke guided Hiei over to sit in the seat with a little force. Yusuke said, barely managing to keep his annoyance from his tone “There Hiei! That wasn’t so bad was it? It’s not so bad sitting with your friends!” Yusuke resumed his seat next to Keiko while Hiei remained silent.

Kurama threw Hiei a smug look that said clearly ’I knew you were trash from the start Hiei.’ Hiei growled under his breath. Yusuke forcing him to sit in that position had forced him to accept his new ‘position’ in Kurama’s life, or at least make it publicly known. Not that anyone understood what it meant, but to Hiei, it was humiliating and insulting. If Yusuke had pulled this stunt in demon world, Hiei would have hurt Yusuke badly and refused to sit there. He had no choice among the humans. Hiei sat there, feeling hurt, angry and insulted.

Hiei was surprised when he felt a hand slipping into his lap and grabbing at his crotch, distracting him from his thoughts. Hiei’s eyes darted to his right, knowing whose hand it was. Hiei’s chair scooted in as Kurama pulled Hiei’s chair in closer to the table, hiding his actions from view unless someone actually looked under the tablecloth and at Kurama specifically. Hiei twitched as Kurama’s ministrations brought him to arousal. Hiei, who had never been good at keeping noises of pleasure quiet, was doing an excellent job, if only because his rage and embarrassment helped temper his need to cry out.

Hiei’s only response was to buck into Kurama’s hand when his aching arousal was released. As Kurama gave long drawn out strokes to Hiei’s aching cock, Hiei’s body responded against his own will. Hiei gripped at the edges of the seed as he came in Kurama’s hand, hard. Hiei was too busy coming down from his high to have heard the crack from his grip on the chair. Hiei didn’t see how Kurama cleaned his hand, but he managed to discreetly zip his now shrinking cock away in his pants and act as if nothing had happened.

Hiei had been a terrible ‘friend’ all evening. He had done enough that Yusuke was pissed off and determined to beat Hiei up. The only thing that had stopped him was the fact that it was Kurama’s wedding and Keiko plus Botan were managing to restrain him. Hiei just gave Kurama a dirty look often, but said nothing. Finally when Hiei had gone a bit ‘too far’. Kurama told Yusuke he’d talk to Hiei and he took Hiei aside. But Kurama’s version of taking Hiei aside was locking him in the male’s bathroom in a stall. Using vines, he had Hiei restrained in a way that he couldn’t break free. It was after gagging Hiei with the tie Kurama wore that Hiei let his displeasure with Hiei’s attitude be known.

He fucked Hiei brutally. He gave Hiei no pleasure; Kurama just treated Hiei like trash and fucked him raw until he bled. Hiei wasn’t hard, he got no pleasure. He was treated like something used only to slake a need. Once Kurama was done, and Hiei was bleeding sufficiently from bite littering his once pale skin, and from his rear, Kurama cleaned himself up and left, leaving Hiei sitting in a small pool of blood on the floor of the stall, very much positioned like a broken doll. Hiei’s dull eyes looked up as he heard the door to the bathroom swing open and familiar voices echoed in the bathroom. Hiei didn’t want to be caught. Not like this. Silently, he began to clean up while the voices echoed in the bathroom.

“Man, can you believe Hiei’s attitude Kuwabara?!? I mean, I get he’s a demon and all, but this is a wedding! Kurama’s his best friend he should be happy for the guy! Not acting like some selfish asshole.”

“I know Urameshi! Something’s wrong with that shrimp! I mean, he’s always been an asshole, and I wouldn’t put it past him to try somethin’ funny tonight.”

“Tell me about it, he’s pissed me off to the point where I wanted to beat his ass and make him chill out.”

“Urameshi, its Kurama’s wedding night with Chiyoko-san! We should be happy for them since the shrimp can’t seem to be happy for his own best friend!”

“You’re right Kuwabara! We shou-“ Flush.

Hiei stepped quietly out of the stall, casting the two a cursory glance as Yusuke and Kuwabara looked stunned from their spot at the urinal. Washing up, Hiei walked out of the bathroom where Yusuke hastily followed after to catch up after he finished and washed his hands. Slamming a hand down on Hiei’s shoulder, Hiei fought the urge to not wince in pain. Casting dull red orbs up at Yusuke, his lip curled in a sneer as he asked “What do you want detective?”

Yusuke hesitated briefly and said finally, with more resolve “To talk outside.” Hiei let out a “Hn.” And led the way outside to the garden where no one could see them or hear them talk. In the background was the distance chatter of the voices of the wedding party as well as the music carrying on the air with them. Yusuke rubbed the back of his neck and said nervously “Look man, I just wanted to apologize for what Kuwabara and I were saying in the bathroom. It was mean.” Hiei cast Yusuke a look of indifference and said “What you talk about is none of my business detective.”

“Alright that’s it! I’ve had it!” Yusuke grabbed Hiei and slammed him into the ground. Straddling Hiei’s hips, he snarled “Just what’s your problem man? Its Kurama’s wedding! I thought Kurama was your best friend! So shouldn’t you at least be happy for him?” Hiei kept his face straight, even while he was in agony. Yusuke was putting pressure on his bleeding ass and on the bite marks on his skin, hidden by the suit but Hiei wouldn’t tell. He had his pride after all. Yusuke growled and slammed Hiei harder against the cobble stoned ground “Don’t give me that bull shit!” Hiei just glared and said “I will act however I like detective.” Pissed, Yusuke punched Hiei across the face. Hiei’s head snapped to the left with the force and he spat out blood. Hiei retaliated by throwing a punch back at Yusuke.

Pretty soon it was an uneven brawl as Yusuke had the advantage over a more weakened Hiei. Yusuke and Hiei didn’t stop fighting until Keiko caught them at it and dragged Yusuke off of Hiei. Casting Hiei a spiteful glare, Yusuke reluctantly went inside with Keiko. Left behind, Hiei stood, dusting himself off. His cheek was swelling a bit, and he could tell he had more bruises to add with the bite marks. Looking at the ground where they fought, the cobblestones had a slight impression of his form and one of the jagged cobble stone rocks that had been broken open had blood on it. Touching the back of his head, Hiei felt the blood there and didn’t wince or anything. He just wiped the blood off and limped inside, only straightening up when he was in sight of people.

Resuming his seat next to Kurama, Hiei remained silent and sullen for the rest of the night.
