Scene 4
POH, it’s not that I have anything against Mukuro. I actually found the character quite admiral to be able to hold her own against the big boys all those years. In fact, my muse kicked around all kinds of ways that Hiei would get her Territory through different means, but nothing involving fighting her for it just felt “right” to me. So I figured this was the best, most 'honorable' way to go. I hope you continue to enjoy my story. I’ll continue to supply it until it’s done. I am committed to this project too deeply to stop now. Sorry to any that may be bored with it. (Shrugs)

Scene 4 ---------- The Next Day
* Kirin enters the control room. One of the navigators motions toward the large bay window to the front and he moves to it. For several moments he just looks out at the short, dark-clad demon standing stock still in front of the dark fortress. Finally Kirin takes a deep, shaky breath and moves toward the door barking out his last orders to the bridge crew.
Kirin- We are honor-bound to follow Lord Mukuro’s last wishes!
* He turns to look back at the officers.
Kirin- Any questions?!
* When he gets none he nods.
Kirin- I’m sure that our next ruler will be just as honorable as she was.
* The General then leaves and makes his way quickly through the dark halls toward the large side door. He can feel himself being observed by the many soldiers that now line the halls. He also knows, from experience, that Hiei is most likely observing him with his third eye, also. When he reaches the large door he looks toward the squad of soldiers gathered there.
Kirin- Open the ramp.. Give our Lord the welcome he deserves.
* The button is pressed and the side door lowers to form the entrance ramp. In a matter of seconds a short silhouette appears in the entry. Hiei stops when he sees Kirin and all the soldiers. He starts to take a more alert stance, ready for whatever attack he feels may be coming. Kirin meets his red eyes and the silence lays heavy for a couple moments. Then Kirin sinks to one knee, bows his head, and crosses an arm across his chest. Hiei quirks an eyebrow. The only person he’s ever seen this demon take this stance to is Mukuro. Then the soldiers all take the same position. Hiei growls to cover his growing confusion.
Hiei- What the h---..?!
Kirin- Welcome back, M’Lord.
Hiei- Kirin, get up off the d--- floor! Take me to her. Now!
* Kirin stands back up to his full height.
Kirin- Please follow me, M’Lord.
* Kirin turns and starts off. Hiei glances back toward the still-kneeling soldiers then follows after the General. Both of them move silently through the fortress. Hiei opens his jagan behind the bandana then stops and scowls.
Hiei- Kirin.
* The General stops, but keeps his back to Hiei.
Hiei- She’s not here? I can’t..
Kirin- All will be explained in her chambers, sir.
Hiei- Sir?! You know that I..!
* Kirin continues walking. Hiei quiets and continues following.
