Scene 30 ------------- Meanwhile Back At Alaric
* When Mukuro hears about the patrol's return she touches the intercom on her desk.
Mukuro- Hiei, it's about d--- time.. Get your a-- to my office with your report! Immediately!
* She releases the button and continues working on some paperwork. In a few moments the door to her office opens in a timid manner. This serves to let her know that it's not her brash heir on the other side.
Mukuro- Who's there?!
Halamaru- C-Captain.. Halamaru, M'Lord.
* Mukuro scowls and grabs up her scarf to place it on, covering the mechanical half of her face as she usually does in the presence of others.
Mukuro- Come in.
* Halamaru slinks in, but just enough to close the door and keep his back against it.
Mukuro- I sent for Hiei, not..
Halamaru- L-Lord Hiei.. didn't return w-with us, M'Lord.
Mukuro- Where did that little s--- take off to this time without telling me?!
Halamaru- He.. d-didn't say.. He just.. caught a scent and.. t-took off.
* Mukuro tilts her haed curiously, continuing to glare a hole in the lower officer with her one visible eye.
Mukuro- A.. scent?
Halamaru- I-I.. (gulps) I th-think there was a.. d-demoness in heat.. somewhere close..
* Mukuro raises a hand to pinch the bridge of her nose.
Mukuro- Of all the..
Halamaru- I can't say for sure.. B-but it is springtime..
Mukuro- That's never affected him before!
Halamaru- All I know is that the.. stench.. didn't appeal to me.. b-but then, I am mated.. With two mates and.. ten ch-children..
* Mukuro heaves a deep sigh. The stench of fear rolling off the lower officer is starting to sicken her.
Mukuro- Very well, give me the d--- report. I'll deal with that little b------ when he comes dragging back in here.. D--- males and their..
* Mukuro lets the sentence trail off and stares out the large window of her office. She silently puzzles over this new development as she half listens to the boringly, mundane, routine report that really reveals nothing but another pointless scouting trip.
