Part 3
Sorry but no lemons yet. I didn’t originally think it would be this long. But hey this is probably one of my first fics that doesn’t have sex every where you look (which isn’t necessarily a bad thing). N-E-Wayz hope you all enjoy.
Sweet Release (Part 3)
By Ravenx
“Ok..er,” How was he going to explain love to Hiei? “Love is an emotion. It’s when you really care for someone. It’s when you want to spend the rest of your life with this person. When every second of the day is spent with you thinking, talking about, or wanting to be with this person. It’s when you look in your future and can see you and this person doing something together. Does that make sense?”
Hiei stared at him for a moment before slowly nodding. “I think so.” He slowly moved up until he was sitting right next to Kurama. Then he asked with a little hint of a smile, “Kurama, what do you think will be doing in the future?”
Kurama couldn’t help but just stare back at Hiei. He knew he must look like an idiot but he couldn’t have heard Hiei correctly. “What did you say Hiei?”
“I said,” Hiei moved even closer if it were possible until his nose was almost touching Kurama’s, “What do you think we’ll be doing in the future?”
“You see us together in the future. As…as friends?” Kurama felt a blush come over his cheeks. Was he really having this conversation with Hiei?
“Together, yes. a lia little more than friends,” he looked away leaning back a little and continued in a strong yet quivering voice, “I see how you look at me sometimes. You’ve always been nice to me even when no one else is. You seem to really care for me. And….and I might…no…I do care for you too. It’s just that I don’t really know what do to. I’ve never felt this way. I was never showed love ing ing up, so it’s hard for me to…to act. Understand?”
Kurama reached out and took hold of Hiei by his chin and turned him so they were face to face. “I do understand. That was sweet Hiei. And amazing that you said more than a couple of words.” He let out a small chuckle as Hiei playful slapped his hand away.
“Kurama, do you see us in the future?” Hiei again had the tone of seriousness.
“Honestly? Yes. I see us together and we are definitely happy. I understand that you are having a hard time showing your feelings and I want you to know that I’m here. For however long you need me to be. Okay?”
Hiei gave a rare smile as he nodded. He reached out and touched Kurama’s silken red hair. “Do you mind if I stay the night? Just sleep…I…I want….”
“Go on. What do you want?”
“I want you to hold me? If that’s okay?”
“It’s more than fine. Now get your little butt in here.” Kurama raised his sheets and shifted back to allow room for Hiei.
“Hn. Just don’t forget that this ‘little butt’ can kick yours any day.” Hiei stated as he moved into the bed and settled where his back was pressed up against Kurama’s chest.
“Yeah. Whatever you say.” Kurama couldn’t help but smile as he wrapped his arms around Hiei’s small but powerful frame. After a couple of minutes he heard Hiei’s breathing even out, indicating that he had fallen asleep, which gave Kurama time to think.
What on earth was eninening? Hiei was lying in his arms, in his bed. This surely had to be a dream. This could not actually happen. Or could it? Hiei undoubtedly was real. All the times Kurama had dreamed of holding or touching Hiei he had never imagined that it would feel this natural. Like it was suppose to be this way. He smiled to himself as he laid his head down where Hiei’s thick spiky and oddly enough soft hair was under his chin. He drifted off to sleep still hoping that this was indeed not a dream.
****************
Kurama woke when the sun hit his eyes from the window. Morning had come way to fast for him. He stretched out his tall lean body and then froze. Something was missing. He set up and looked around. Hiei was gone.
“Was it a dream?” he asked himself out loud. Good dream, he thought as he got up and started to get dressed. He had class in thirty minutes. He went and gathered his clothes and towels and went down the hall to the bathroom to get a shower.
Ten minutes later he was back in his room, clean and ready for a new day. He walked to his desk to gather up his books when he noticed that there was a piece of paper on top of one of his books. It was written not in his neat handwriting but in one that looked like the writer was not used to writing.
Fox,
Don’t you dare laugh at me! But last night I was serious. So I thought if I couldn’t tell you how I feel I’ll write it to you. So here:
Like the sun and the rain
You have broken through to my core
Reached inside
And took my heart away
I tried not to fall
But I could not resist
So here I am
Laying in your arms
All my barriers gone
And for once I feel safe
I can let my guard down
I can rest a while
Cause I truly feel loved
For the first time in my life
I’ll see you tonight after the sunsets.
Hiei
P.S.: You had better not mention this to any of the others!
Kurama just stared at the note that was in his hands. He didn’t know what to be surprised over more. The fact that Hiei knew how to write, that Hiei had written him a poem, or that Hiei could be both threatening and sweet at the same time.
He allowed a large smile to grace his beautiful face as he put the note back on his desk and rushed out the door with his books. He knew he would be late for school. But right now he didn’t care. He couldn’t wait for tonight.
