Part three
The morning came, the morning of the day when Yusuke Urameshi, would fight in a showdown against the deadly Youko Kurama. The first thought on Yusuke’s mind that morning was not the fight, but rather the man who would be the prize, Hiei. Hiei had been very upset and Yusuke was worried that he’d do something rash. Nobody seemed to know were he’d gone off to. Yukina had told Yusuke not to worry about it. Hiei was wont to hiding when he was upset. But still Yusuke hoped Hiei hadn’t gone off and done something stupid.
“Yeah, doing stupid stuff is my job,” Yusuke muttered to himself as he aimed his revolver at a line of bottles on the fence. He pulled the trigger three times, only the third bullet found it’s mark. Yusuke frowned at his performance. It wasn’t bad considering that he’d never used a gun before leaving San Francisco. But no doubt Youko was way better. And Yusuke was sure the lunatic had no qualms about pointing a gun at another person. To date, the only things Yusuke had shot were a hand full of empty bottles and few wild rabbits. He took aim again and pulled the trigger three times. This time he hit two bottles.
“He’s not going to give you time to line up your aim like that you know,” a low, and strangely friendly voice came from around the corner.
“Who’s that?” Yusuke jumped.
The owner of the voice stepped into view, he looked just as Yusuke remembered from the last time he’d seen him; tall, long dark hair and wearing falsified smile of friendliness. It was Youko’s second in command, Yomi.
“What are you doing here?” Yusuke drawled, “Your boss send you to take me out before the match?”
Yomi chuckled as if the idea was amusing, “No, Kurama doesn’t even know I’m here. I just wanted to see the man who had the audacity to challenge Youko, so to speak. I can’t actually see, you know.”
“I know,” Yusuke muttered without thinking. Instantly he was reminded of the story of how Yomi became blind. Why Youko turned on him. His cheeks flushed.
“Ah, I take from the inflection of your voice that you’ve heard the story of how this happened,” Yomi indicated his useless eyes.
“Um, well yeah,” Yusuke said uncomfortably, his over active imagination was supplying pictures of Hiei and this man in the throws of passion. The geometry of thing was mind boggling, given their difference in height. And then, Youko bursting in full of rage, and the cruel horrific act that followed. “Hiei told me… everything.”
“Oh?” Yomi feinted confusion, “That simply couldn’t be. I was sure the good doctor only knew half the story.”
“What you mean?” Yusuke suddenly forgot how uncomfortable he was with the conversation and urged Yomi to continue.
“Well, for starters,” Yomi began as he made himself comfortable on the fence, “Hiei never found out why I lured him into bed in the first place.”
Yusuke found a soap box to sit on and then asked, “Would I like to find out? “
Yomi nodded, “I’m sure you would, and I will tell you, soon, but first I will pose a few other questions, which I am sure many have wondered before. One, if Hiei and I were so close, why did I never protect him from Youko? Two, why would I stay loyal to Youko even after what he did to me? The answer to both is simple; Love. I’ve loved Kurama since before I could remember.”
“Seriously!?” Yusuke jerked like he’d been shot, “But he’s so…”
“Cruel,” Yomi picked it up, “Cold, deadly, I know-- more than anyone. But you can’t love someone for what they’re not, young man. In my eyes he’s also brilliant, unique, and beautiful. But I digress-- The night he caught me with Hiei, I set it up. I knew Youko wanted Hiei, and the thought of it filled me with jealously. So, I decided to steal Hiei from him before Hiei could steal him from me-- Of course the whole thing back fired somewhat.”
“Somewhat?” Yusuke squeaked, “He blinded you!”
“Ah, yes,” Yomi smirked, “but afterward Hiei was so discussed with Youko, I no longer had to run interference between them. Ha, the good doctor practically foams at the mouth when Youko comes around. There was another unexpected benefit, too. Right after he blinded me, I was helpless. Youko had to take care of my every need. He had to lead me around by the hand, feed me, and wash me. I don’t think I’d ever been happier. It was almost worth the loss of my eyes.”
“You’re just as crazy as the other one,” Yusuke gulped.
“I’m crazy?” Yomi tipped his head, “You are the one walking into a fight that you can not possibly win.”
Yusuke shook his head to clear it and then asked, “Why are you telling me all this?”
Yomi told him, “So you may understand my presence here, and why I am going to do what I’m about to do.”
“And that is?” Yusuke asked warily.
“I am going to help you win this duel against Youko,” Yomi stated.
“What!?” Yusuke jumped out of his seat, “How?”
“With a touch of information,” Yomi told him, “Youko does not operate like a typical gunfighter. You see, most gunfighters depend on speed, first to draw, first to draw blood. Youko, on the other hand, likes to draw a fight out until he has completely figured out his opponent’s patterns. He will know exactly what his opponent’s next move is and turn it around on him. Then, he will close in and take you out with one clean shot.”
“So, don’t be predicable,” Yusuke smirked, “I think I can handle that, shoot half the time I don’t even know what I’m going t do next.”
“Somehow I believe that,” Yomi smiled, this time it seemed genuine. He rose from the fence to take his leave.
Yusuke stopped him, calling out, “I still don’t understand why, you’d what to help me. I could kill him. Why would you take that kind of chance with the life of the guy you love?”
Yomi’s smile turned cold and dark, “I’m helping you for the same reason why I seduced Hiei all those years back, I’m jealous. If Youko wins this duel, he will take Hiei--by force if necessary. And I would rather see Youko dead at my feet than in the arms of another man.”
Yomi’s visit left a chill in Yusuke’ bones that he couldn’t shake. He was startled by a small shuffling of the dirt beside him. He spun to find Yukina there.
“He’s a piece of work isn’t he,” she said staring after Yomi. “You know there have been times that I’ve begged mother that we move out of this town and away from those horrible people. But she says it would be suicide. If we dared to run, Youko and his gang would only chase us down and drag us back. She’s right, of course.”
“I’m sorry,” Yusuke muttered, “I had no idea things were so bad, and here I come in and shake everything up.”
“Don’t feel bad,” she shook her aqua tresses. “This powder key was bound to blow sometime.”
Yusuke swallowed and then asked, “You seen Hiei anywhere?”
“Not yet, but don’t worry he wouldn’t go far,” she tried an assuring smile. “Now, you’re going to need your strength, so I’ve made you a good lunch. Come inside, it’s on the table.”
They say time slows down when you’re waiting, but noon came far too quickly. The sun hung forebodingly in the sky and shadows cowered beneath their owner’s feet. The typical bustle of midday was absent, because no one dared to be on the streets on this day. The eyes of the town peered through cracked doors and shuttered windows as two lonely figures marched down the main street on a collision coarse, from the west, the dark haired stranger, Yusuke Urameshi, and from the east, the fair haired highwayman, Youko Kurama. Thirty feet between them, they halted, and stared at each other through silted eyes.
It was so quiet, that the fighters might fancy that they cold hear one and other’s heart beats. A sigh of wind blew, as if the town itself had been holding its breath, but could no longer do so. At that moment of exhalation, Yusuke made the first move, dashing to the right as he drew his gun and fired. Figuring that his shot would miss, Yusuke rolled behind a wagon full of crates. Youko was indeed unharmed by Yusuke’s shot. He ducked back into a gap between two buildings to watch for Yusuke’s next move. He didn’t have to wait long, soon another shot whizzed past him as Yusuke flew out from behind the wagon. Yusuke sprinted across the street firing two more times. The second shot splintered the wood next to Youko’s ear forcing the bandit farther back into the gap. Yusuke shot again, and then dove behind a stack of nail barrels.
Youko grinned to himself; this was going to be easier than he thought. The boy was a not only a terrible shot, but rash as well he’d already used five of his six shots. But he was clever enough to take advantage of the cover the cluttered streets and side walks provided. However, Youko knew how to use that advantage as his advantage. Youko drew his gun, darting out in to the street, Youko moved at an angle so that Yusuke’s own cover would block any clear shot. He zigzagged toward the flank of the barrels. He would rush Yusuke from the side. He knew that the boy couldn‘t have reloaded. Youko came at him too fast to give him the chance. The boy was brash, so he also knew he wouldn’t try to run. No, he would wait for Youko to get close then he’d try to put his last bullet in him. But Yusuke would be crouched on the ground while Youko was on his feet and moving. The chances of that last bullet even touching him were slim to none. Then the boy would be helpless. He skirted the barrel ready to see Yusuke cowering in the dust-- but he wasn’t there! Youko looked around wildly. Where could he have gone? Youko had his eyes on the stack the whole time, there was no way the boy could have given him the slip. Then suddenly…
“Surprise!” Yusuke’s child like cry rung out and the wall of barrels fell over toward Youko.
Yusuke had crawled into a hollow space inside the barricade and waited for Youko to come looking for him. Unfortunately, Youko was not flattened by the falling objects. He managed to step back out of the way. However, the stunt did serve to surprise him, so that his gun was not ready to fire. Before he could bring his weapon in line, Yusuke swung the small barrel he’d been holding, hitting Youko’s gun arm and loosening his grip. The gun went clattering to the side. Yusuke waste no time and sprung at Youko, tackling him into the street. They tussled for a while before they both regained their feet.
Youko spit some blood out of his mouth and laughed, “You’re more clever than I gave you credit for. You knew you couldn’t win at a gun fight so you devised a way to turn this into a fist fight.”
“Shows what you know,” Yusuke smirked, “I’m making it up as I go along!”
Yusuke charged foreword with a right hook aimed square for Youko’s jaw, but the bandit faintly out of the way and delivered a swift blow to the back of Yusuke’s neck. Yusuke tumbled a bit. Youko poised himself to make another hit, but Yusuke found his balance, and came right back with a fist right to Youko’s solar plexus. Youko stumbled back, retching for the sharp pain in his stomach.
“So long!” Yusuke called, as he charged Youko, ready to deliver one final blow that’ll lay the man out.
But, then a sudden crack like lighting rang out and dust exploded between Yusuke and his target. Then another shot ripped past him, grazing his arm. The slice of hot pain caused Yusuke to lose his balance and fall into the dirt. Yusuke opened his eyes to look were the sniper fire had come from. He saw a glint of light bouncing off the barrel of a rifle on the roof of the hotel.
Youko laughed at Yusuke, “A timely intervention don’t you think?” Then he shouted up to the blue haired man on the roof, “Good work Toya, you shall be rewarded well. Jin, bring me my pistol, so I can be rid of this little rodent once and for all!” Almost immediately, a young man with a wild red mane appeared, bringing a gun to Youko.
“You cheating son of a bitch,” Yusuke growled.
“All’s fair in love and war,” Youko shrugged as he cocked his gun and aimed it at Yusuke‘s head.
The silver haired bandit’s lips curled back in an impression of a smile, like a fox that’s found a wounded animal to eat. Yusuke stared backup at him, trembling from the anger and the hatred he felt for this creature. Tears of anguish formed in his eyes, but not for the imminent loss of his own life, but the failure he was committing by losing it. Youko will take this victory as reasonable claim to Hiei’s body. There’s no telling what sort of indignity that small man will have to endure at the hands of this madman. Yukina and Ms. Mukuro would surly die of broken hearts. And the whole damn town would still be under Youko’s thumb.
BANG! Bang bang! Yusuke’s head snapped up after the second bang, realizing it wasn’t Youko who had fired. Jin was retreating for cover behind the gunsmith’s shop. Youko was shouting up at his sniper, “Toya, what the hell do you think--”
It wasn’t Toya. The blue haired man was slumped unconscious on the roof, his assailant had relieved him of his gun and now stood tall-- or as tall as he could-- in his place. It was Hiei. He wasn’t alone though. Shortly after Hiei commenced fire, Yomi climbed up on the roof behind him, taking him by surprise. The blind man seized the gun, but Hiei wasn’t about to give it up easily. They struggled over it. Yomi had trouble keeping a hold of Hiei’s small quick body. Hiei wriggled away from him and hit him in the gut with the butt of the rifle. As soon as Yomi stumbled back, holding his bruised gut, Hiei swung round to take his aim on Youko. He pulled the trigger. CLICK!
“Jammed!” Hiei cursed.
“Looks like it’s down to them,” Yomi chuckled as he faced the vague direction of the two fighters.
In spite of the gun jam, Hiei’s efforts were not completely wasted. The ruckus he caused had given Yusuke just enough time to draw his gun on Youko. The two stood once again in a standoff on opposite sides of the street.
“Looks like we’re back to square one,” Yusuke commented.
“If I’m at square one,” Youko told him, “you’re not even playing. You’ve fired five times, and I know you haven’t had the chance to reload, meaning you only have one shot at me.”
“That’s all I’ll need!” Yusuke hollered as he pulled the trigger. The loud bang was followed by a sad cracking of glass. His bullet missed Youko by a long shot and instead went threw the window of the building behind him.
“Pathetic,” Youko said.
“Not really,” Yusuke smirked, “Look what you’re standing in front of.”
Youko didn’t need to look. However, instinct caused his eyes to turn in that direction. He was in front of the gunsmith’s shop, the gunsmith’s shop that kept a few small kegs of black gunpowder near the front window. After that split second of realization, came a massive boom. Like everything else in that town the shop was painfully small, so the explosion wasn’t that devastating. It was however sufficient enough to blow out the front windows; knock Youko off his feet and spray shards of glass into his astonished face.
Seconds later, Yusuke looked through the settling dust. Youko had struggled back onto his feet. But, he was stumbling around blindly-- or blinded! Youko tripped and fell backwards into a trough of water. People began to come out of their hiding places, laughing at the floundering fiend. It wasn’t long before the town folk grew board and went on about their business as if Youko Kurama had never existed, just like that the malevolent spell of fear he’d cast over the town was lifted.
“Yusuke!” A deep, sexy and oh-so familiar voice called out, seconds before the owner of said voice flew into his arms with nearly enough force to knock him down. Hiei and Yusuke locked lips, long, hard and unashamed. Then Hiei pulled back and whapped him on the head. He shouted, “You idiot!”
Yusuke rubbed his sore head, “I love you too, Hiei.”
Hiei’s rage melted. He turned his attention to the bleeding wound on Yusuke’s shoulder, which he’d received from Toya’s rifle. He said warmly as he lead Yusuke away, “Come on you fool, we’ll get that cleaned up.”
Meanwhile, Yomi had made his way to the water trough where Youko had fallen. He reached down and bore the man out of the water and held him until he stilled his thrashing.
“W-who?” Youko stammered wildly.
“It’s me, Yomi.”
“Yomi!” Youko gulped, “I can’t… I can’t see. I’m….”
“Blind?” Yomi finished with some amusement. “I’m glad you are blind. Now you won’t be looking at any other men.” Youko sobbed and heaved in his arms. Yomi brushed the wet hair away from Youko’s pretty face, as a reassuring gesture. He leaned down and whispered into Youko’s ear, “Now, now, don’t worry, my love. I’ll take good care of you.”
That was the last time either Youko or Yomi were seen in Oak Ridge. Nobody knew exactly what became of the two, though there were a few colorful rumors that would eventually become something like folktales. For instance, when the wind blows over the ridge, it makes a howling sound. People will say that it is Youko being ravished by his former second in command. As for the rest of the Makai Raiders, without their leaders, the gang fell apart. Most of them left, but a few of them stayed in Oak Ridge and took up honest work. The sniper, Toya and his friend Jin became law enforcement officers, Toya eventually became the town marshal. But all that happened latter.
Immediately after the fight, Hiei took Yusuke to his office in the building that read Doctor’s Office: Ichigaki & Jaganshi. Yusuke had the brief displeasure of meeting the troll of a man with whom Hiei shared the space. He did not stay long, the sun was setting and the old man liked to be home before dark. Thus Hiei and Yusuke were left alone. In the warm amber light of an oil lamp, Hiei leaned over Yusuke who lay shirtless on the table.
Yusuke hissed sharply, “Hiei, do ya have to be so rough?”
“Don’t be such a baby,” Hiei reprimanded him, “It’s only a few stitches. Now, hold still or they’ll be crooked.”
“You‘re still mad at me aren‘t cha,” Yusuke pouted. Hiei tugged at the stitch he was working on, causing the boy to wince.
“No, I’m not mad. Might have some residual irritation, but no, I’m not mad.” Hiei told him blandly, “Youko’s been terrorizing this town for years and you took him out. You’re a hero.” He finished the last stitch and then covered the wound with a bandage.
Yusuke sat up, “Then why don’t you sound happy?”
“You got lucky, Yusuke!” Hiei burst out, slamming his fist on the table, “What if you didn’t…. what if he…”
“So, you do care,” Yusuke drawled.
“Of course, I fucking care, I love you!” A surprised look crossed Hiei’s face and he clamped a hand over his betraying mouth.
The surprise was not Hiei’s alone, Yusuke was shocked as well. Sure, the other had suspected the man’s feelings, but he had not expected him to claim them so freely. Yusuke spoke quickly, else the other man should revoke his claim, “Ha, you said it, you love me! And don’t tell me you didn’t mean it, cuz you totally meant it!”
Hiei rubbed his brow irritability, “Could you act a little less like a child?”
“But I’m just too happy,” Yusuke grinned from ear to ear as he threw his arms around the smaller man and hugged him like a teddy bear.
“Gah!” Hiei complained, “Yusuke!”
Yusuke loosened his grip, pulling back enough that Hiei could look into his big puppy dog eyes. He said with all the seriousness he could muster, “Hiei, I love you, too.”
Hiei practically melted as he stopped struggling and allowed Yusuke to kiss him. Soon, the fire in Hiei’s belly started to stir as Yusuke’s lips moved over his own. He pressed his tongue against Yusuke’s lips and was at once granted entrance. Yusuke found himself being press back down onto the table as Hiei took dominance over the encounter. Which was fine by Yusuke, Hiei was the one with experience who knew what he was doing. Hiei’s nimble fingers trailed over his abdomen, sending pleasurable shivers up Yusuke’s spine. But it was nothing compared to the pleasure Yusuke felt when those fingers went to unfastening his pants. Soon, Hiei had Yusuke lying naked on the table.
“You’re beautiful,” Hiei spoke in a course whisper.
“I, uh, don’t think anyone’s ever told me that before,” Yusuke replied awkwardly.
“I don’t suppose anyone’s ever seen you in this light,” Hiei suggested as he leaned in to place a kiss on Yusuke’s belly. “All lean muscle, gloriously naked, and bathed in amber light, like an Apollo. Heh, however I don’t believe I’ve ever seen a painting or statue so greatly endowed as you, Yusuke. Ah, but now I’ve made you blush.”
Yusuke moaned freely as Hiei took his growing arousal into one hand and began to pump it. His other hand dipped down to delicately fondle his balls. He played until Yusuke was in a proper stupor, then he inquired, “Yusuke, would you like for me to keep my promise to you now?”
“Promise?” Yusuke asked vacantly.
“To make love to you,” Hiei reminded him.
“Are you going run me out of town when you‘re done?” Yusuke asked.
Hiei almost laughed, but then he realized the boy was serous. He assured Yusuke, “I was only trying to run you off before because I didn’t want you cross the bastard Youko, but that’s not an issue anymore. So, you want to?”
“I don’t know what to do,” Yusuke admitted.
“Just relax,” Hiei told him as he captured the boy’s lips.
Hiei took his time working his way down Yusuke’s neck, making sure he hit all the good points. Then his shoulders, and his chest, where he used his lips and teeth t tease Yusuke’s nipples. Yusuke gasped and threw his head back. That’s when Hiei let his hand drop between Yusuke’s legs. He bypassed the straining erection and sensitive balls, moving farther back to touch Yusuke’s virgin entrance. Yusuke jumped in a moment of panic as he felt his most secret of places being invaded.
“Shh, just relax,” Hiei hushed him, “it’ll feel good. I promise.”
Yusuke forced himself to relax as he felt a digit being pushed into him. It wasn’t painful, but it was strange, having his insides touched and caressed. Hiei moved his finger in and out. As he grew more accustomed to the action, Yusuke relaxed more, allowing Hiei farther penetration. Then a sudden pain caused Yusuke to wince.
“I should have warned you,” Hiei said apologetically, “This may be a little uncomfortable at first. You see, I need to stretch your passageway, prepare it for what’s to come. Bare with me, you will be drowning in pleasure soon.”
Hiei bent forward and took the head of Yusuke’s member in to his mouth and sucked it. Suddenly, Yusuke could no longer feel the dull pain in his rear. He could only concentrate on what that skillful tongue was doing to his cock. Yusuke unconsciously spread his legs wider, which was all well and good, because Hiei needed the room to work as he recommenced thrusting his two fingers in and out of Yusuke’s passage. After a few minutes of twisting and scissoring, he was able to add a third. Yusuke hardly noticed; he was so caught up in Hiei’s oral ministrations. Not that he was completely unaware of Hiei’s fondling, in fact, it definitely intensified the sensation. But then all at once Hiei stopped. Yusuke whined as Hiei released him and the saliva on his cock began to cool. Hiei slipped his fingers out of Yusuke’s hole. Yusuke groaned at the emptiness he felt there.
Hiei backed off a step. Yusuke watched the man minutely as he made a show of removing his clothes. Slowly, he striped off his coat, waistcoat, and shirt. Then he let his pants fall, exposing his full throbbing erection. He smirked at Yusuke as he stroked it a few times. Seeing this, Yusuke felt a tingling at entrance as if it were begging to be filled by that rod.
“You want this?” Hiei said teasingly.
“Do you even need to ask?!” Yusuke gasped.
Hiei snorted his amusement and climbed up onto the table. Very deliberately he lifted and spread the boy’s legs. He placed his tip at Yusuke’s entrance and pressed forward. Hiei invaded him slowly, inch by inch. He bit his lip with the effort to not drive himself wildly into the tight heat. Yusuke whined and squeezed his eyes shut, as Hiei’s length gradually filled him. Yusuke never knew how it was before to feel so full. He could have sworn that one false move and Hiei’s dick would split him in two. And it was so hot; it felt like a hot poker up inside of him. But it didn’t burn him. The heat melted into him, merged with his blood and rushed to every limb of his body. It was too much, but at once not enough. Then Hiei stilled, his hips resting fully against Yusuke’s spread thighs. Both of them where dripping in sweat and breathing hard like they’d just run a marathon.
“Yusuke?” Hiei rasped.
Yusuke answered the hanging question, “I’m okay… it’s… good.”
Hiei placed a hand on Yusuke’s cheek, guiding him down so Hiei could kiss him. Yusuke could taste traces of himself on Hiei’s lips, he liked that. Hiei shifted inside of him, sending a shock through his frame. Yusuke’s fingers clung to Hiei’s shoulders, as the smaller man rested his head on Yusuke’s chest and began to pump his hips slowly. His movements were almost methodical, thrusting, shifting, and then thrusting some more, as if he were looking for something. Yusuke found out what that something was a slit second after Hiei found it. Yusuke cried out. The angle in which Hiei had penetrated him brought his rod into swift contact with a spot that sent bolts of sheer ecstasy through Yusuke‘s body. Yusuke hadn’t even known he had a spot like that. He knew now. And Hiei was making good use of it, performing a series of strong, but shallow thrusts tormenting that spot.
“Oh god, Hiei!” Yusuke gibbered, “Aha… sooo good. How… ohh, do you do that?”
“I’m a doctor,” Hiei grinned, “I know stuff.”
“Oh, Hiei it’s sooo good, “Yusuke moaned.
It was so good he never wanted it to end, yet at the same time he needed it to. His cock was throbbing painfully. His pre-fluids had been flowing out of it like a spring, but still it relieved none of the pressure he was feeling, he need to come. Hiei seemed to have an understanding of this, because he soon took pity on the boy and reached between them to stroke Yusuke’s needy cock. That last bit of friction was all that was needed to cause Yusuke to cry out and convulse as he came. Yusuke whimpered shook as the aftershocks of his pleasure rippled over him.
“Ah, damn it,” Hiei cursed in a shuttering voice. He had underestimated how sexy Yusuke’s face would look as he came, naiveté being wrapped decadence, like an angel falling into the pits of sin. He was truly a wet dream come to life. It stoked Hiei’s passions to a fiery extent, the flames of which Hiei attempted to extinguish by thrusting hard and deep into Yusuke’s sweet convulsing body. With one final snap of his hips, Hiei stilled and released.
After some time, the two regained their senses, and Hiei rolled off of Yusuke. Petting the boy‘s chest, Hiei husked, “I… got a little more excited then I anticipated. I hope I wasn’t too rough with you.”
Yusuke shook his head lazy and licked his dry lips. “No, that was… wow….
“It’s called sex, young man,” Hiei said.
“I know that!”
“I’m just playing,” Hiei chuckled, “It’s a running gag. Anyway how do you feel?”
Yusuke shrugged, “I might be a little sore tomorrow, but… wow.”
Hiei chuckled, “And here I was worried that I might be out of practice.”
“Nah. But, if you think need practice, know that you’ve always got an eager volunteer,” Yusuke quirked.
Hiei grunted, “Hn, you’re cute.”
“You’re cuter,” Yusuke countered.
“Well, I love you.”
“I love you more.”
“No, I love you more.”
“I love you to infinity-- no infinity plus one!”
At which point Hiei broke out laughing harder than he had for a long time. Wiping tears out of his eyes he told Yusuke, “We better stop this or the excess sweetness will rot our teeth out. And there isn’t a proper dentist for two counties.”
The two lovers eventually made it back to Black Dragoon, where most of the town was celebrating. They were obliged to stay downstairs for a time whilst various people toasted Yusuke for his victory. In a short time, Hiei dragged Yusuke upstairs, claiming that it had been a long day for the boy and he required much rest. It was true Yusuke was tired, though he more than suspected that Hiei just wanted him to himself.
The following days, Yusuke was welcomed fully by Hiei’s family and they worked out a few particulars that stood between them and a proper a happily ever after. For one, even though Yusuke loved Hiei and got on well with his family, Yusuke had a mother back home and friends that he missed sorely. This problem was remedied remarkably quickly, when Hiei’s family decided they would like to leave Oak Ridge. The town held nothing but bad memories for them. San Francisco seemed like as good a place as any to make a fresh start. Before the month was out, Ms. Mukuro had sold her saloon to Chu, a former Makai Raider who wanted to make a go at an honest living. Then they hitched up a wagon to Botan and an old mule named Genkai, and the group set off westward.
In San Francisco, Yukina made quite an impression on Kuwabara, the young man who was Yusuke’s business partner. If memory serves his first words to her were quote, “Humma-na, Humma-na….” The two ultimately became married and had three very spoiled children. Ms. Mukuro opened a new tavern named The Lady Lord, which was conveniently just down the street from Yusuke’s noodle shop. The bar did so well, Hiei was able to quit medicine and devote all his spare time to his real loves; cooking and Yusuke. So every day, for the rest of their days, Hiei and Yusuke happily made love and noodles.

A/N: I know westerns aren’t everyone’s thing, but it was fun to write one. I think next I’ll do a sci-fi! (Is she kidding?) Reviews are appreciated, thank you. ^_^
Part three
The morning came, the morning of the day when Yusuke Urameshi, would fight in a showdown against the deadly Youko Kurama.
