Hello Kittens! Here is the next Chappie! Review and tell me if you like. And by the way, I am still not telling you what the hell is going on!

Chapter 2

Kurama looked up from his book as Hiei flitted through his bedroom window. He sighed as he saw that Hiei was yet again wounded. “I am going to presume that you are almost dead or else you wouldn’t have interrupted me,” he said, setting down his book and walking to the bathroom to retrieve his first aid kit.

If looks could kill, the heated glares that Hiei sent to Kurama would have put his little dragon to shame. “I’m not fond of coming here for help, you conceited fox. If there were anyone else I could go to that wouldn’t ask questions or annoy me then I would save you the trouble.”

Kurama smirked as he cleaned and disinfected the chest and shoulder wounds. “No, you just want me to heal you and allow you on your merry way.” Kurama’s smirk grew as Hiei turned his head, finding the curtains amusing. “Why don’t you just admit that you are in love?” he asked, knowing the answer he was about to receive.

Hiei turned back around to face him, his face hard and blank. “I am a demon. You can keep your foolish human emotions, for I love no one.”

Kurama sighed. “What of Yukina, Hiei? Don’t you have any feelings for your sister?” he asked, moving away from Hiei back to his desk.

Hiei smirked, knowing the trump card Kurama was going to play but he had one of his own. “Kurama, if you are so emotional then why are you still single and prone to multiple one night stands?”

Kurama raised one elegant eyebrow. “That is simple, Hiei. I am a Youko, nothing more than a creature that thrives on his sexual nature and lust. Even with the influence of the human world, my . . . appetites are still not satisfied,” he finishes, looking at Hiei, preparing to defend his explanation.

Hiei smirked. “Hn. I suppose you are right. Not even a youko in a human body could be satisfied but then again you do try to appease your dominant sexual nature.” He almost burst out laughing, watching the always collected Yoko Kurama blush as his deepest secret is revealed. “Why aren’t you with your newest conquest?”

Kurama tried to get his blush under control. He knew that he couldn’t keep his secret private for long, especially not with a best friend like Hiei, a telepath, around. He was a realist. He just didn’t think that he would be caught so easily. He expected so suspicion, it made it more exciting. “I begin a new semester of classes tomorrow and decided that I might need to sleep and I am guessing you are going to explain how you found out my dirty laundry, ne,” he replied, his blush under control.

Hiei laughed. “Stupid Yoko, your lie is almost believable but I saw you.” His smirk grew as he saw Kurama’s eyes grow big. “Don’t look so shocked. You weren’t trying very hard to hide your energy at that bar. So did your little bitch run away because you were to rough on her?” he asked, his eyes glowing with mischief.

“I see. Well, you are correct. I can’t seem to keep a willing, submissive partner. It seems my taste are to extreme for even those with the most lewd bodies,” he answered, realizing that Hiei knew more than he ever wanted anyone to know.

“You mean to tell me that Yoko Kurama can’t keep a willing partner. You are known for being able to seduce anything that has two legs that can be spread. This human world has soften you hasn’t it?”

Kurama grimaced at Hiei’s crude metaphor. He realized he had a reputation, actually thrived off of it, but he didn’t need Hiei to make him sound so callus. He was actually quite picky. “Yes, there is a certain truth to that, I will agree, but it is not that I can’t keep a willing partner, I just can’t find one that satisfies me for more than a night of at the most two.”

Hiei resisted the urge to roll his eyes back. “You truly are a conceited fox aren’t you,” he said, getting up from the bed and going to the window jumping up on the windowsill. “I need to go. I’ve spent to much time talking to you.”

“I guess it is time for you to watch Kuwabara sleep,” He muttered out the window as he watched Hiei jump from one house to the next towards the Kuwabara residence. He smiled to himself. “If love makes you a fool, then I suppose that it will never happen to me.

Botan looked into Koenma’s office for the third time that night. “Koenma-kun, are you ever coming to bed?” she asked him form the doorway.

Koenma jumped up from his desk, his eyes red from lack of sleep and exhaustion. “Oh! Botan, I’m sorry, I’ll come in a little bit. I need to finish reading this file.”

Botan sighed. “You said that hours ago. Koenma what is wrong with you? You have been on edge ever since your meeting with your father. You’ve read that file over a hundred times now and haven’t slept or ate at all. Is something happening? Do I need to get Yusuke?” she asked, walking over to him.

Koenma paled. “No!” he screamed grabbing her by the arms. “Don’t say anything to anyone. If you do someone might get killed,” he told her, shaking her slightly.

Botan was shocked. She had never seen Koenma like this. He acted like he was mad. “Uhh…” she attempted to reply, at a lose for words at his violent reaction. “Koenma, sweetheart, you’re hurting me,” she said in her most soothing voice, trying to reach him in his moment of insanity.

Koenma immediately let her go, looking down at her hands. ‘This monster hasn’t even made an appearance yet and I have already lost my fucking mind.’ He looked at Botan, the concern and worry etched in her features. His face softens and he reached out to cup her cheek. “I’m so sorry, love. I’m just tired and my father gave me an urgent file to look at. Please, forgive me.”

She smiled and nuzzled his hand. “It is okay. I know that you are stressed and it is understandable. You are the Price of the Sprit World. Now, come to bed and get some rest.” She took his hand and pulled him through the door.

Koenma chuckled and pulled her into his arms. “I’ll walk you to our room but I must get through with that file tonight. The sooner I know what that file says from start to finish the sooner I can get prepared. I promise to come to bed the second I read the last sentence.” He lifts her chin and kisses her long and slow.

Botan pulls back halfway through the kiss, giving Koenma one of her looks. “If you lie to me, you will not come out of it with all your equipment in tact.”

Koenma gulped and gave her his most convincing smile. “I promise, my love. The last sentence.”

Koenma sighed as the bedroom door closed behind Botan. He made his way back to his office, mentally preparing for the file sitting on his desk. Hearing the rumors had not prepared him for the five, two-inch thick folders stuffed to the max with the various ‘jobs’ King Yama had issued. In a little less than five years, hundreds of demons that have threaten the human and sprit worlds have meet their demise at the hands of a single assassin. It wasn’t that these demons died, or even their numbers. For hundreds of years, King Yama has used at least one demon with a burning hatred for their race to kill his enemies. No, the number of deaths at this assassin’s hands meant nothing to Koenma; only the brutal was it killed them. Every case was filed with the care; every gory detail was accounted for. It wasn’t like reading a normal case file. Each was written like as if it were a horror fiction novel, the next getting worse than one before. Remembering the last file he read, Koenma knew he would not be getting good nights sleep for a while.

As he opened the doors to his office, the hair on the back of his neck stood up. He looked at his desk to see his chair facing the wall. A pair of legs, covered in skintight black leather, were dangling from one armrest and a pair of pale hands were holding up the file Koenma was reading. Koenma paled as the doors behind him slammed shut. “Who the hell are you!” he demanded, trying to gain control of the situation.

The intruder let out an angelic laugh. “Now, now, little prince. You don’t want to lose your head now do you?” the voice asked, bringing it’s legs down to the floor. “You know, they left out some important details in this report. Ikoshi didn’t die from blood loss. I cut off his head and that was what ultimately led to his demise. He let his cock rule his actions, like most bastards,” it finished, standing up and throwing the file back on the desk. “What, no comment?”

Koenma stared in shock. This thing wasn’t a beast. It was a young boy with gold hair and sapphire blue eyes. “I uh . . . umm . . . what can I . . . uh . . . do for you?” he asked at a complete loss for words.

The boy walked up to him and grabbed him by the front of his shirt. “Listen to me and listen to me carefully. You’re little team will not die by my hands. I won’t lie, if they screw with me they will pay but as long as it isn’t too drastic they should be fine. Now, you on the other hand, if you fuck with me not only will I kill you, I will also kill your little team and their families and no one will stop me,” he told Koenma, letting go of him. He smoothed out the wrinkles in the front of his shirt and gave Koenma a smile that would have put Yoko Kurama to shame. “Now, little prince, you go to bed with your pretty little wife and let me do my thing and I promise everything will work out fine.” With that the young assassin disappeared as though he were just a figment to Koenma’s mind.
