Scene 29
Scene 29 -------------- The Mouth Of The Ravine
* The Koorime lands first and waits a few moments for the black Kitsune vixen to land beside him.
Hiei- I should've done this when I first learned you were a fox.
* Lily looks down at Hiei, waving her bushy tail behind her slowly.
Lily- Is that a compliment?
* Hiei rolls his eyes, but ignores the flirtation. He motions over to his left where the river flows out of the canyon against the eastern wall.
Hiei- I want you to start there at the river's edge and spread a thick wall of your worst carnivorous plants acroos the mouth of this ravine.
* He looks back up at her.
Hiei- Can you do that?
Lily- Hai.. But it will probably take the rest of the day..
Hiei- I don't care how long it takes.. I won't allow this canyon to be overrun like that again!
Lily- Master,..
Hiei- Can you make it so that these plants will only attack intruders?
Lily- Of course, just as with the others I have spread throughout the ravine.
Hiei- Get started then. I'll be up in this tree keeping watch over you.
* Lily lays a hand on Hiei's shoulder before he can move away.
Lily- I want to thank you for sparing 'Tara.
Hiei- She's a mother that just lost her only son.. She had to release..
Lily- But since she attacked you you would have been within your rights to..
* Hiei glares up at her.
Hiei- I told you! I'll run this pack by my own rules!
Lily- Hn.
* Hiei closes his eyes to calm himself down.
Hiei- She may never be quite.. right again.. I know what this kind of grief can do to a mother.. Now get busy, Fox.
Lily- Hiei, stop blaming yourself. You've never been in a position like this before.. It's only natural that you'll make mistakes, but you'll learn..
Hiei- Mistakes cost lives.. I will not lose any more.
* Hiei blinks away. Lily sighs, glances up at the tree where Hiei is now settling on a high branch, then hurries over toward the river bank to begin her task.
