Hiei's Harem - Pt. 1 - Establishment

Thanks for all the great reviews. Due to my 'puter situation I'm putting my Shura's Quest series on hold for a bit and concentrating on this one. Sorry if that disappoints anyone, but I'm doing the best I can right now and since this story seems to have the greater following I decided to keep it going. Now, here is a nice long scene for you.

Scene 24 -------------------------- Three Days Later


* Hiei is relaxing, watching the younger males spar with each other when he feels a presence approaching behind him. It doesn't take him long to recognize which of the females it is. The Koorime half glances over his shoulder. Trinka is partially hid behind a thin tree watching him, unaware that he is able to sense her. Ever since he'd learned of the ordeals she'd been through he'd been avoiding too much personal contact with the younger female. Usually when he ignored her the mute demoness would just slip away. So it surprises Hiei when she stays put today. Hiei closes his eyes. He has learned that he really has no desire at all to be the least bit gruff with this small, silent female. While she is totally mute, this isn't what has kept him away from her. The problem lies with his knowledge of her past that he had gleaned. Stolen when she was barely five years old by a gang, some of whose faces he actually recognized. Raped by several of them mercilessly for many years before being stolen again by another more ruthless gang. The leader of this gang had pronounced her unfit to carry his children and sold her off to yet another demon that was in the business of providing his 'stock' to rogues for pleasure and his own monitary gain. For the next twenty years she was used and abused in this facility by untold numbers of thoughtless men. Hiei was more bothered than he cared to admit because of too much similarity to his own younger years. The cruelty that finally took her voice occurred a couple years before she ended up in Gamock's hands. Even now that one memory stabs through his mind. The sight of that drunken demon deliberately pouring his acidic saliva down her throat as he took her, permanently damaging her voicebox beyond repair. Hiei swallows and growls inwardly. One would think that she would never desire to be touched again. Her life a true witness to the harshness of this region of Demon World. This fact alone had been what had shaped Hiei, himself, for most of his life. But certain ones that have crossed his path these past few years have managed to change him, if even just slightly, from the coldness he once embraced. If it weren't for their intervention he would not have been as reluctant to just leave this new situation he's found himself tangled in. Because they'd shown him friendship, loyalty, and respect despite himself. Things that, somehow, down through his life he'd managed to salvage. Then, suddenly, it dawns on the apparition and he opens his eyes. Perhaps it's the same for Trinka as it was for him. All of these traits laid dormant, for the most part, deep inside himself, just waiting for the right contacts to spring them to life. Could he be that contact for her? Had the other females been part of the reason as well? He's observed over the past few days how this pack cares for each other. With a quiet sigh Hiei recalls his words to Sarista that day at the waterfall. How he promised to keep them from experiencing such cruelty ever again. He's come to accept this new responsibility because of those words. Perhaps to help Trinka he must stop avoiding her. Hiei turns his head to look at her.


Hiei- Come.. Sit beside me, girl.


* He knows that she hears him because she reacts by trying to hide herself fully. Hiei doesn't need his jagan to tell him that something inside Trinka makes her long for her new Alpha to notice her, as he has been giving attention to the others. She is a member of his pack therefore she deserves the same consideration.


Hiei- It's okay, Trinka.. I'm not angry at you.. Please come sit here.


* Trinka summons as much of her nerve as she can and makes her way over to sink to her knees where he's indicated. When she bows to make herself lower than him Hiei leans back on his arms to make himself less intimidating. Before he can fully react Trinka's trembling hand reaches toward his cloak to open it. She gasps silently and cowers when he snaps out of his astonishment and catches her hand. Her eyes lift to meet his, filled with pure terror.


Hiei- No, that's not why I called you over. Please calm yourself.


* Trinka swallows hard, but continues trembling as Hiei positions himself to face her. Before he can speak to her again, though, he notices that the boys are all looking toward him.


Hiei- Enough for today.. Go further upriver and clean yourselves then return to camp.


* Troiyoku motions to the others and they follow him away. Hiei looks back at Trinka. Even though she's nearly the same age as himself, the neglect and abuse she's endured has forever stunted her to the petite, quivering form cowering before him.


Hiei- I don't want you to fear me.. Do you understand? I won't ever hurt you as all those others have.


* Slowly, as he talks, Hiei can feel her calming down. He gently reaches over and tilts her tanned face up to meet his eyes again.


Hiei- I want to try something with you.. Okay? I want to teach you how to talk to me..


* Trinka quickly raises her free hand to grasp her throat. Hiei nods.


Hiei- Hn. I know you can't speak from your mouth.. But there is another way.


* Trinka's eyes widen when Hiei removes his headwrap.


Hiei- Now, you know that my third eye won't hurt you.. Right?


* When she lowers her eyes and nods Hiei smirks because he can hear her thoughts more clearly with his jagan now half open.


(#) Trinka- But it still scares me.

Hiei- This will be easier than you think, girl.. I can tell you what you just thought.


* Trinka looks back up at him, her confusion evident.


Hiei- Your thought was that it still scares you.


* The mute demoness shrinks back slightly, but slowly nods.


Hiei- Do you understand what I mean now?

(#) Trinka- I.. think so, Master..

Hiei- Good.. Please, you can call me Hiei..

(#) Trinka- But..

Hiei- It'll be our secret. I won't tell the others if you don't.


* After a moment Trinka raises her free hand to cover her mouth as she laughs silently.


Hiei- Now, tell me.. Why have you been following me around?


* Trinka lowers her hand, blinks at him a moment, then blushes and drops her eyes.


(#) Trinka- Do you not.. find me.. attractive? Like the others?


* Hiei sighs and studies her a couple moments. She is indeed still a beautiful female. From what he's 'witnessed' he knows, though, that most of her scars were purposely placed in places other than her 'marketable' areas.


Hiei- Hn, you are easier to look at than D'Tara. I will say that.


* Again Trinka's eyes dance with amusement as they meet his.


(#) Trinka- That will be our secret, too. Right?

Hiei- Hn. I don't need her howling at me.


* Trinka looks away toward the river. Hiei sighs at her next question.


(#) Trinka- Then what you know of me sickens you so that you cannot bear to..

Hiei- Hn.. It does sicken me.. But not in the manner you're thinking.. Trinka, I'm guilty of so many similar crimes in my past.


* Trinka looks at Hiei again, but now it's his turn to avoid her reddish amber-colored eyes.


Hiei- I was.. abandoned.. not long after I was born..

(#) Trinka- Why?!

Hiei- Because I'm a male.. My father was a Fire demon I never knew.

(#) Trinka- Fire? Like.. Mistress Sarista?

Hiei- Hn.

(#) Trinka- Like.. my mother was.


* Now Hiei's eyes widen. On his exploration of her memories he never thought to discern her heritage.


(#) Trinka- Hai.. She was one of my.. Father's concubines.

Hiei- Then you remember your parents?


* He feels Trinka become a bit nervous again. Before he can stop himself he reaches over and takes one of her hands again.


Hiei- It's okay.. I want you to trust me, Trinnie.. Can I call you that?


* Trinka nods slightly, then takes a deep breath.


(#) Trinka- We.. we couldn't.. tell Master Gamock.. He wouldn't have kept me.

Hiei- I told you. My name is Hiei, not Gamock. You can tell me.

(#) Trinka- S-Sarista.. is my mother.


* Hiei looks away, digesting this as she continues.


(#) Trinka- If Gamock had found out he would have sold me away.. again.. We both felt it was indeed a miracle that we had found each other again.. So she never told the old a--.

Hiei- That will not cause me to send you away, Trinnie.. Wait, you speak to your mother like this?

(#) Trinka- Hai.. She is the only one that can speak to me with her mind.. The others haven't developed this skill, yet.

Hiei- I'm working on that.


* For a couple moments both are quiet. Then Trinka raises her eyes to look back at him.


(#) Trinka- Will this keep you from.. marking me for sure now?


* Hiei looks back at her. Because she's now sitting on his right he can't see Gamock's mark on her neck, but he still knows that it's there. As gently as he can he pulls her closer and positions her in his lap, cradled in his arms. For a couple moments he just looks down at her.


Hiei- Did you have any children to..?

(#) Trinka- I refused to.. let any of them live.


* She close her eyes. The surge of guilt that rushes through his mind from her nearly turns his stomach. Not to mention the thought of her having to endure being beneath her own father. Hiei swallows thickly and looks back down at her.


Hiei- If you'll accept me.. I'll never abuse you, Trinnie.


* Trinka meets his eyes, then slowly nods.


(#) Trinka- Hai.. I do.


* Hiei starts to lower his head, but she raises a hand to stop him. The Koorime watches her eyes study him intensely for several moments.


(#) Trinka- You only do this.. to save our lives.. If you weren't tricked by..


* Hiei places a finger on her lips to quiet her thoughts.


Hiei- I won't lie to you.. There is some truth to your words.. But this is only because I had determined long ago that I would be alone for the rest of my pathetic life.

(#) Trinka- I can.. understand these feelings.. I inherited my mother's empathic abilities to a degree.. I also possess some of her healing ability.

Hiei- Hn.. These will both be useful..

(#) Trinka- I'm no where near her level, though.

Hiei- They'll strengthen when she begins to train you.


* Trinka' eyes widen again.


Hiei- Trust me.. I don't want any of my pack to be weak.. Strength of the body, mind, and Spirit will not only insure stronger offspring, but will preserve all of your own lives.

(#) Trinka- Most Alphas prefer their women to be weak.. To live only to fulfill their pleasures.

Hiei- I'm not consumed with such lust, girl.


* Now Trinka gives an open-mouthed, but silent laugh that echoes through Hiei's mind.


(#) Trinka- You forget that I've been lurking around after you the past couple days? I've seen you with Mother and Aunt Celestia and Aunt Lily and..

Hiei- Alright.. Yes, I have been the victim of their seductions and tempting ways.. As well as my own d--- instincts.

(#) Trinka- Is that all it is? Just your instincts?

Hiei- Hn.. I told you.. Trust and.. affection.. have never come easy to me.. After I was.. taken from my mother and thrown off that d--- ice island I was found and raised by bandits.

(#) Trinka- Ice island..? Like where Aunt Klarice..?

Hiei- Hn. My mother was a Koorime.

(#) Trinka- Fire and Ice.. Wow, you really are messed up.


* When Hiei looks down at her she is smiling.


Hiei- Hn.. Will you allow me to save your a-- now?

(#) Trinka- Is that all you wish to do with my a--?


* For some reason Hiei isn't surprised when he catches the momentary spike of energy off to the side. Even Trinka must catch it because she stiffens in his arms.


Hiei- At the moment, that may be all that your Mother will allow me to do.


* In the next instant Sarista blinks over in front of them with her arms crossed. Trinka looks up at her but cowers closer to Hiei fearfully.


Sarista- What the h--- did you..?!

Hiei- Relax and sit down, Momma.


* Knowing, by now, not to look directly into his jagan Sarista lowers her eyes.


Sarista- So.. you know..?

Hiei- You know by now that I learn things with my jagan.


* Sarista looks at Trinka a long moment.


Hiei- I can't send her away any more than I can send any of the rest of you away.


* Sarista relaxes visibly and turns to leave.


Hiei- You may stay.. Once I mark her it will drain her.. Then you can carry her back to the cave.


* Sarista flicks her eyes up to meet Hiei's then sinks to her knees in front of them.


Hiei- Sarista,.. once I mark her I'm going to allow Silis or D'Garo to take her when she comes into her heat..


* Hiei closes his jagan as both of them look at him stunned.


Hiei- It would bother you for me to..

Sarista- No.. It would not.. She is not your blood daughter.


* Hiei sighs.


Hiei- Well it'll be a while before she comes in.. We'll see how things are going by then.


* Hiei looks back down at Trinka.


Hiei- Starting tomorrow I want you to begin helping her with her healing skills.. Now, put the ward back on my head.


* Sarista gathers up the white cloth and crawls around behind Hiei to do as he asked. He looks over his shoulder at Sarista in a manner that she catches immediately. After they share a brief kiss Hiei looks back down at Trinka.


Hiei- Are you ready, Trinnie?


* When Trinka nods firmly Hiei lowers his mouth to her neck. As calmly as he can he proceeds. Sarista moves to the side to watch carefully. When Hiei finally pulls back Trinka's eyes slip shut and he eases her into Sarista's arms.


Sarista- Thank you, M'Lord.

Hiei- Hn.. But this is one secret that the rest of the pack must know now.. You can assure them that I'll not be sending.. or selling her away.


* With that Hiei stands and flits away. Sarista looks down at her hibernating daughter then makes her way back to the main cave.
