Hiei's Harem - Pt. 13 - Inheriting

Okay, well, since most of you seem to enjoy torture so much (LOL) I just calculated that there are 4 more sequels left of this story on paper. Just thought you’d like to know. Now, let’s continue with this one.

I’ll add another scene later on today.

Scene 23 --------------- The Main Camp


* When Eboni arrives she looks around as the other females look up at her. Lily and Celestia glance at Sarista. The Fire demoness stands away from her playing sons and moves to face the younger female. Eboni lowers her eyes.


Eboni- Mistress please,.. I need to see him.


* Sarista glances down at the two babies in her arms.


Sarista- For now you’ll call me Sister.. He’s in the cave.


* Eboni nods. As she approaches the vine-covered entrance Sarista motions for Lily to give her passage. With a slight tilt of her head Lily orders a few of the thick vines to part. When Eboni enters the torch-lit cave Hiei is at the spring bucket getting himself a drink of the cool water. He half glances toward Eboni.


Hiei- What are you..?

Eboni- I came to present my daughters to you,.. Master.


* Hiei looks down into his half empty cup.


Hiei- It’s not necessary. I’m not their Sire.

Eboni- But what’s mine is yours.. to do with as you please.


* The familiar words finally make Hiei turn and look at her.


Hiei- Girl,..

Eboni- I belong to you.


* Hiei shakes his head.


Hiei- You’re going to go with your Mother.

Eboni- I love my Mother very much. She has taught me everything I know about fighting and about devotion.. But my time of being devoted to her is past. You have claimed me.


* Hiei’s mouth clamps shut when she sinks to her knees before him. He is unable to protest any further as he watches her gently lay the two Kitsune hybrids on the ground before her. The Koorime notes that they both have inherited the Kitsune trait of being blind at birth.


Eboni- My daughters are yours.. You may accept them.. or..


* Eboni closes her eyes and scoots back, as instincts dictate to her. She keeps her head bowed. Hiei’s sharp eyes and senses catch the young girl’s nervousness.


Hiei- Hn.. They’re beautiful.. What’s their names?


* Eboni relaxes and looks up at him.


Eboni- Sapphire, the eldest, and Ruby, the younger.


* Hiei rolls his eyes.


Hiei- That figures.. If it’s not some kind of flower with Fox females it’s gems.


* Hiei sighs and sits down beside them. Eboni stays put and watches him lift the kits up one at a time to study them. He places each one down closer to her as he finishes. Sapphire is nearly all silver except for her black-streaked fluffy tail. Ruby is more of a mottled mixture of black and silver with tiny rounded ears and the same kind of tail.


Hiei- They’ll be their Father’s pride.


* Eboni tilts her head, sensing that Hiei isn’t referring to himself.


Eboni- Will you not be raising them.. as your own, Master?


* Hiei places the second female down beside her sister. The two begin tussling with each other awkwardly. He looks at Eboni again. Over the past few minutes he has come to the conclusion that if he were to send her away with her Mother that none of the kits would live long. The realization of this unsettles him.


Hiei- As long as they wish to remain with you, they belong to me.. But there will come a day when they’ll desire to seek out their true Sire.. Or he will learn of their existance.

Eboni- You would let him take them?


* Hiei meets her golden yellow eyes a moment, then stands to move toward the alcove.


Hiei- Their Sire, Kurama, is my friend. If he discovers that he’s sired them.. I won’t fight him.


* He pauses at the mouth of the alcove.


Hiei- If you insist on staying you’ll prepare yourself to accept it if he decides to claim them.


* Eboni looks back down at the kits that are once more curled together asleep.


Eboni- They’re my first babies.


* Hiei moves on into the alcove and sits down, making himself comfortable.


Eboni- But you’re my first mate.


* She strokes the twins a moment, then stands and goes over to the mouth of the alcove.


Eboni- If you’ll keep me, I promise to devote myself only to you.. To honor and obey you.. To bear you many more..


* Hiei holds a hand up halting her sincere words.


Hiei- I’ve got more kids now than I.. ever thought I’d have.. More than I deserve..

Eboni- If you never want me to have anymore..

Hiei- D--- it! I didn’t mean it that way!


* The Koorime moans when she lowers her eyes at his tone. He sits up more and pats the furs beside him.


Hiei- Don’t be afraid of me. I detest that.


* Eboni moves into the alcove and sits down beside him. She casts a shy smile at him that telegraphs her youth boldly to him.


Eboni- I won’t come into heat again for a couple years.. I’ll be more mature by then.


* Hiei considers closing himself off from their bond, then he decides against it. For a reason he can’t seem to locate in his mind. He looks at her again.


Hiei- Little girl, I want you to do whatever you want.. If you’d rather go with your Mother..

Eboni- I can’t. I’m not old enough to survive out there with two babies.. I’m not stupid. And I’m not dealing with the same stuff Mom is.


* Hiei looks toward the twins. He briefly wonders what Lily’s kits would have turned out like, then quickly diverts himself away from that line of thought.


Hiei- Eboni, I have no desire to release your Mother.. But I won’t keep her here against her will, either.

Eboni- Trust has never been easy for her.. When Father died I think her heart went with him. Then she was thrown into the position of being responsible for those of us who managed to escape that terrible massacre.

Hiei- Who killed your Father?

Eboni- Ooshama and his gang of weak-minded slaves.


* Hiei grunts and looks away.


Hiei- I see.. I killed Ooshama, not her.

Eboni- He challenged you. You beat him. You’re now the Ultimate Alpha of the Barren Lands.. That’s something nobody else has ever been able to accomplish in this region.

Hiei- Before I came here I was Lord Mukuro’s Second in Command..

Eboni- Who?


* Hiei looks at her again. Her curiousity is honest so he calmly explains everything to her. When he grows quiet once more he watches Eboni calculate all of this information.


Eboni- So you’re.. Lord of a whole third of Demon World now?

Hiei- Hn.

Eboni- This is why you feel so much stronger.. You could cower Mother if you..

Hiei- But I don’t want to.


* Eboni looks at him again, a new respect twinkling in her eyes briefly. Then a sort of sadness touches them that puzzles Hiei a moment.


Eboni- You could refuse me.


* He stares at her for several moments as he sorts out his feelings.


Hiei- I don’t want to do that, either.


* He reaches over and cups her chin gently.


Hiei- You are mine.


* Eboni nods. When Hiei doesn’t resist the pull of his instincts she parts her lips and accepts his kiss. When he realizes how involved he’s become in the act he raises up to stare down at her, in a hovering crouch over top of her prone body.


Hiei- D--- me to h---.. but I do want you, Little One.


* Eboni smiles, but Hiei’s senses tell him that she’s close to exhaustion now.


Eboni- I am yours.


* He relaxes to the side on a hip as he caresses her cheek.


Hiei- Hn. But right now you’re tired.. It’s okay. After all the others, I’m used to it.


* Eboni raises her hand to his bared chest and the Koorime notices that his cloak had been opened during their exchange.


Eboni- I can rest.. later.


* He stares down at her until his mind suddenly remembers Staci. He quickly shakes her image away.


Hiei- No. I can wait. You rest now.. I’ll call Lily in to watch your kits.

Eboni- Lily?


* Eboni looks toward her sleeping kits.


Hiei- She’s my Kitsune mate.


* The jaganshi sends out the mental summons. Eboni looks back up at him again.


Eboni- I wish my Mother could know this side of you.

Hiei- I wish she would allow me to show it to her.


* Eboni closes her eyes and relaxes. Hiei looks up to meet Lily’s eyes when she comes to the mouth of the alcove.


Lily- You’re going to accept her?

Hiei- You got a problem with that?


* Lily shakes her head and half turns to look toward the babies.


Hiei- I trust you to watch over them until Eboni wakes up.. and we’ve completed this ritual.

Lily- Of course, M’Lord.


* Hiei rolls his eyes and Lily smirks. She then moves to gather up the two little bundles. They quickly complain about being disturbed until she settles them into her own mossy nest. Hiei relaxes to stretch out beside Eboni and snuggles her closer. In her nest, Lily smiles to herself when she feels how relaxed Hiei is with the young female. His new power seems to be helping him accept things a lot easier.
