Hiei's Harem - Pt. 13 - Inheriting

Scene 22 ---------- The Waterfall Meadow


* When Hiei lands in a tree at the edge of the meadow he finds Sylk and Sarista facing each other.


Sylk- .. only thing sparing you right now is the fact that my daughter and her babies survived. Do you understand me, b----?!

Sarista- Yes, Mistress.


* When they both sense Hiei’s presence the Koorime blinks down to the ground.


Sylk- You’re dismissed.. And take him with you.

Sarista- I’ll go. But I don’t order.. him around. He’s our Alpha.

Sylk- Your tongue tries my patience!


* Sarista bows backward some then turns and moves toward the path leading back to the main cave. She half glances toward Hiei as she passes and he gives the slightest nod to let her know that he’s noticed. As Sarista continues on her way Hiei turns his full attention back toward Sylk. He can feel the Pantheress struggling with her nature and her instincts. Her nature urging her to charge Hiei and send him packing. Her instincts telling her that she must move aside and allow her Alpha to inspect the babies. Hiei calmly moves forward to test her. When Sylk stays put he stops, deciding not to provoke her. Sylk watches him look toward her sleeping twins, then toward Eboni and her babies.


Hiei- Are they all well?


* He looks back up at Sylk. She narrows her eyes and growls her reluctant answer.


Sylk- Yesss.


* Hiei nods. It surprises Sylk when he turns to leave.


Sylk- You said that you would release me.

Hiei- When you’re ready to be released you know where to find me.


* Hiei continues walking until her next question stops him.


Sylk- Do you want to?


* He slowly turns to look back at her.


Hiei- No. I don’t wish to shame you in that manner.

Sylk- Because you want to keep these brats?!


* Hiei lowers his eyes thoughtfully.


Hiei- They belong to Kurama.

Sylk- The Youko.. That traitor that..


* Hiei glares back up at her.


Hiei- You will not disrespect him! He’s Lord Yomi’s Second!

Sylk- Lord Yomi.. Ohh.. I get it now.

Hiei- Don’t even go there, Woman.

Sylk- I’m not as stupid as the rest of your b----es.. You’ve got this Territory, now you plan to use these babies to..

Hiei- I told you to shut up!!


* When Hiei flares out his dominance the power of it actually presses Sylk backward. It effectively shuts her up. It also wakes Eboni.


Hiei- Kurama and Yusuke are two that I’ve come to respect and call my friends.. Both were the first to ever show me trust and friendship.. Neither of them probably have any idea what that b------ Matsua did to them.


* Sylk looks at Hiei again.


Hiei- They’re both victims of that place as much as you, Eboni, and the others are.

Sylk- What will you do when they do learn of them?

Hiei- I have no idea.. But if they demand to take possession of them..

Sylk- If you release me.. none of us will ever be seen again. I’ll take my daughter and them and leave this region.

Hiei- And go where? To Yomi’s Territory? Or to Yusuke’s? I’d suggest you go to the latter.


* Hiei starts to turn away again.


Sylk- I’ve given you no reason to want to keep me.


* Hiei pauses then half turns to look at her again.


Hiei- No. You haven’t.


* When he turns and blinks away Eboni finally sits up to look up at her Mother.


Eboni- You’d rather die alone than even give him a chance.


* Sylk looks down at Eboni.


Sylk- I won’t be alone. I’ll always have you.


* Eboni looks away.


Eboni- No. You won’t.


* Sylk watches silently as Eboni gathers up her two small girls and heads toward the path.


Sylk- Eboni,..


* She looks back at Sylk.


Eboni- I’m old enough to make my own decisions, Mother.


* Sylk is stunned speechless as Eboni disappears out of the meadow.
