Scene 21
Scene 21 --------------------- Much, Much Later That Day
* When Hiei wakes up he rolls off of Lily with a quiet moan. As he lays a few moments to stare at the ceiling he slowly becomes aware of quiet movement around him. Lily's tail thumps lazily a couple times when he looks at her but she remains asleep with a soft smile of satisfaction on her lips. Hiei raises up slightly to check her neck. When he is sure that he had marked her well enough he sits up completely. He looks up when a cup of springwater is offered to him. He takes it from the smallest female of the group. One that he hasn't even had words with, yet. Hiei speaks to her as he glances around at the rest of the pack who are settling in for the night.
Hiei- What is your name?
* When he gets no answer Hiei looks at her. The closest female, Celestia, looks toward them.
Celestia- Gamock called her Trinka..
Hiei- I asked her.
Sarista- Trinka doesn't speak.. She never has as long as she's been here.
* Hiei glances at Sarista then looks back at the dark- tan- skinned female.
Hiei- Do you understand my words, girl?
* Trinka nods timidly.
Hiei- That's good. You can hear then.
* She nods again.
Celestia- We think she received a grievious injury to her throat.
Sarista- My healing powers are not strong enough to heal her.
* Hiei half glances toward the Fire demoness then turns his attention back toward Trinka.
Hiei- Is that what happened, girl? An injury to your throat?
* Trinka raises her hand to her throat as she lowers her eyes and nods slightly. Staci half rolls to look toward them.
Staci- Maybe you could use your.. eye.. thingy.
Hiei- Hn.. I will..
* Hiei notices Trinka shy away and stands. The Koorime sighs and closes his cloak.
Hiei- But not.. tonight.. I need to get out on watch.
* He looks back down at the cowering female.
Hiei- Maybe you'll allow me to deal with you tomorrow.
* Trinka glances up at him. She points to one of her eys then to her forehead. Hiei nods and taps his headwrap.
Hiei- Hn. my third eye is called a jagan.
* Trinka swallows and glances around nervously toward the others.
Hiei- I won't do anything until you're not so d--- scared of me.
* She watches Hiei look around the acve to make sure they're all inside. They are, so he turns and leaves to take his position up on the Lookout cliff. Sarista looks at Trinka.
Sarista- He won't hurt you, Trinka.
D'Tara- Yes. You seen how he helped D'Garo.
* Trinka slowly nods and moves to curl up on her own bed of fur. It takes a while, but she finally reaches her decision and allows sleep to claim her.
