I’m sorry I couldn't get this added yesterday. Life got in my way yesterday. Anyways..

Scene 20 ---------------- Several Hours Later
* Hiei, seated in a corner, looks up when he finally hears movement. He calmly watches Sylk sit up and lift her hand to her neck. He feels the brief spike of guilt, then it swings to shame, and finally she settles on anger.
Hiei- Hn. Figures you’d settle on that.
* The Panther demoness sets her angry eyes on Hiei as she gets to her feet. Hiei remains where he is.
Hiei- You may hiss and spit all you like.. But never forget that it was you that initiated what we did.
Sylk- You.. You insufferable.. little piece of..
* Her instincts barely manage to keep her from leaping toward Hiei. The Koorime watches her fingers flex, extending her claws.
Sylk- D--- you!
Hiei- For your information I came into this room intending to only free you from the ward that was put on you.
Sylk- Then why the h--- did you wash your filthy domination over me?!
* Hiei remains silent. He wants to continue blaming her, but if nothing else he’s always been honest with himself. He really has no answer to give her. Sylk hisses.
Sylk- Once again you prove yourself to be a liar!
* The next thing she knows Hiei has her pinned against the wall behind her.
Hiei- I have killed thousands of demons for less, Woman.. If it weren’t for your condition..
Sylk- I never asked to be..!
Hiei- I know.
* He forces himself to calm down and releases her neck slowly. Sylk relaxes and smirks when he leans closer to inhale her intoxicating scent deeply.
Sylk- I trust you’ve never had a Panther for a mate.
* Hiei grunts and closes his eyes as he tries to resist what the scent is doing to him. Sylk gives a dark chuckle.
Sylk- When a Panther demon is pregnant she’s nearly impossible for her mate to resist.
* Hiei lowers his eyes to look at her belly. When he moves one of his hands toward it Sylk panics and shoves him away as hard as she can.
Sylk- Don’t you dare touch me!
* Hiei blinks as he gathers his senses.
Hiei- What the..?
Sylk- I may not have wanted that b------‘s baby.. But I won’t allow you to destroy it!
Hiei- D--- it, b----! You may curse me to h--- and back,.. but I’ll be d---ed if I’ll let you speak ill of your baby’s sire.
* Sylk scowls and crosses her arms.
Sylk- If you.. admired Matsua so much.. why did you kill him?
* Slowly it dawns on Hiei that she has no idea whose child she’s carrying.
Hiei- Sylk,.. that son of a b---- isn’t the sire of your baby.
* Sylk tilts her head a moment, then sneers.
Sylk- I had wondered.. I finally figured that he wasn’t man enough to get it up on his own.
* She scowls again and looks away.
Sylk- It puzzled me as to why I was even coming into heat.. I wasn’t due to come in again until next spring.
Hiei- This place is a breeding facility. He no doubt used some kind of a drug to bring you in early.
* Sylk glares at Hiei.
Sylk- Then whose b------ am I carrying?! Yours?
Hiei- If you knew who I was, then you probably know the sire.. Lord Yomi's Second, Youko Kurama.
* Sylk stares incredulously at him. When Shironji pops in beside Hiei it startles her and she gives off a hissing growl as she raises her clawed hands defensively.
Shironji- Pardon, Master. But your presence is required at the main gate.
Hiei- Hn.
* Hiei motions toward the food cart that had gone unnoticed during their exchange.
Hiei- I’m sure you’re hungry.. I’ll return later.
* Hiei leaves the room with Shironji. He gives a relieved sigh, then gets ahold of Shironji’s tail.
Hiei- You stay here and make sure that she stays in there.
Shironji- Hai. The others are warded, as you suspected.
Hiei- I’ll deal with them later.
* Hiei glances through the observation window at Sylk, then shakes his head.
Hiei- I really am cursed.
* Shironji chuckles as Hiei leaves rubbing the back of his neck.
