Scene 2
Scene 2 ------------- Three Hours Later
* When Hiei comes out of the cave wearily he isn't surprised to find the three Lynx brothers sitting around waiting with his other subordinates. Hiei wipes his sweaty forehead on a sleeve as he makes his way over to collapse in Minoro's lap. Minoro calmly embraces him. Over the past couple months the rest of the pack have grown accustomed to the closeness their Alpha shows to Minoro.
Habataro- I trust everything turned out well this time.
* Hiei looks toward Habataro nodding.
Hiei- Very well.. She was able to handle the heat.. She and the boys are resting, but they're all healthy.
* Troiyoku, leaning similarly in Coutaro's lap, raises up to look wide-eyed at Hiei.
Troiyoku- Boys..? Twins?
* Hiei nods.
Hiei- Hn. It's a fairly common Fire trait.. she told me.
* Hiei looks up to watch Lily move toward the cooking area.
Gamaru- Great. Two more little yous running around.
* Hiei half glances toward the larger hybrid male who's currently River's 'overstuffed' bed.
Hiei- Yours will be just as much a terror as my current one, I suspect.
* Gamaru gulps and pales as he's carried away on his wild imaginations. Hiei gets to his feet and makes his way over to Lily. She is starting to create a pot of stew, but he can feel the weariness she's trying to fend off.
Hiei- What are you doing, Fox?
Lily- When she comes out she's going to be hungry.. S-someone has to..
Hiei- Lily,..
* She glares momentarily toward him when he touches her arm. Then she looks away as the other females come over to begin to help. Celestia takes ahold of the big spoon Lily's stirring with.
Celestia- It'll be an hour or so before Sarista wakes up.. Go rest, Lily.. I'll do this.
* Without much more of an argument Lily relinquishes the spoon and moves away. Hiei pauses his retreat when Celestia and D'Tara begin to argue over the spoon. By the time their argument escalates to snarls and growls Hiei has started away. He's learned over the past couple months that, for all the more vicious they act and sound, it won't develop into anything more severe. Hiei pauses near the other males.
Hiei- I'm going to go talk to Lily.. You cats can hang around or return to the village.
* Habataro and Kumataro stand.
Habataro- Congratulations on the two healthy boys, Master.
Hiei- Hn.
* Hiei continues off. Habataro looks down at Coutaro. The younger Lynx glances up at them as he continues to rub Troiyoku's large belly.
Coutaro- I'm gonna stay here for a while.. if that's okay.
Habataro- Sure. You practically live here now anyway.
* Coutaro rolls his eyes as Kumataro ruffles his shaggy mane. The older Lynx brothers then leave chuckling to return to the village. Coutaro looks down at Troiyoku who is obviously distracted.
Coutaro- Are you okay?
Troiyoku- Twins.. I-I think.. that's why I'm getting so big.. And having such mixed signals about the gender..
* Coutaro shrugs.
Gamaru- You think you're big? I'm bigger than a d--- hippo demon!
* Cou and Troi watch Gamaru set River aside as he stands then moves away toward the Waterfall Meadow path grumbling to himself. River lifts her head, blinks, then crawls over into Troiyoku's lap to continue her disturbed nap.
