Hiei's Harem - Pt. 1 - Establishment

I guess I should warn that Hiei, and others involved, may slip out of character from time to time. Yusuke and Kurama will be involved in most of this story, but ultimately this is a journey for Hiei to learn more about his true nature. As well as a few other interesting things, lol.

Scene 2 ------------------------------------------- Several Miles Away


* Hiei stops on the wide branch of a tree near the entrance to a narrow ravine. He scans the mouth of the ravine and understands now why the breeze had been able to carry these intoxicating scents so far. The canyon, with a small river running from it, acts as a wind tunnel. As Hiei takes in another deep whiff his civilized brain tries to override his instincts yet again. The apparition looks around. He knows this region. It's memory of the harshness he endured as long as he resided here still lingers in the far recesses of his mind. But before he can get too lost in those memories, or maybe because of them, he's not really sure which, the scents that drew him here become stronger. He's much closer to the source. His instincts surge forward and urge him to lay caution and common sense aside. In a blur, Hiei flits into the unprotected canyon. The further into the winding ravine he goes, the stronger his instincts become. He finally slides to a stop just inside a large clearing. Gathered in the clearing is a small mixed tribe of demons. As soon as Hiei appears his presence is detected and most of the group turns to look toward him. Hiei smirks unknowingly when the only one that seems to show surprise is the large male that now stands. Hiei lifts his nose slightly to sniff in all the scents discreetly. The complete mixture from all the females is so strong that his eyes struggle to stay focused. He's so caught up in them that he doesn't notice the large, older male begin to circle him. It isn't until his jagan opens behind his headwrap that he is snapped back to the present danger. Hiei turns to face the larger male and realizes the mess he'd just run into.


Hiei- Oh, s---..


* The Koorime stays alert and keeps facing his circling opponent, but he raises a hand placatingly.


Hiei- Woah, now hold on..


* Hiei's instincts let him know that it's useless now to try to talk his way out, but his resurging civility decides to give it a shot.


Hiei- I'm not here for this..

Gamock- You intrude on Gamock's pack..

Hiei- I only came investigating.. the scents..


* Hiei curses his wrong choice of words when the larger male snarls.


Gamock- Then you want my pack!

Hiei- No, Ugly! I..

Gamock- You entered my territory.. You have come to challenge me.

Hiei- H--- no.. Will you shut up and listen..?!


* Another slight breeze gusts into Hiei face. In a brief lapse of control he turns his head to sniff toward the other demons. Gamock growls getting his attention back.


Gamock- A couple of them must be coming into their heat.. D--- this old failing nose..


* Gamock turns to glare toward the pack.


Gamock- Why didn't you tell me, b----es?! I should kill you!!


* These words just absolutely irritate Hiei's struggling instincts. He snarls when he notices how the group of females react fearfully to Gamock's threat. The distinct fear of a human reaches his nostrils and he glares back up at Gamock.


Hiei- Don't blame them for your weakness, you old b------!


* Gamock takes up a fighting stance. Hiei knows now that there really is no other choice for him. For all he knows, the human could be their next meal. It has become his sworn duty to protect the weak creatures and send them back to Human World.


Gamock- I will take care of you, small intruder.. Then I will deal with my b----es.


* The Fire demon shakes his head to clear it. He must keep his senses now more than ever. Even though this male is obviously a very old male he is still a very large, very angry alpha male. Something whispers to Hiei's instincts that this must be a fight to the death, but he shakes his head again. He doesn't want to kill the old male. The pair begin circling again as Hiei's mind and instincts continue bantering back and forth. At some point his instincts manage to will his jagan to close once more as he continues trying to reason with the hyena demon.


Hiei- You have a human here..

Gamock- She belongs to me..! They all belong to Gamock!

Hiei- King Enki has made it illegal to.. own them..

Gamock- I won her long before that stupid excuse for a demon became king.. His laws do not reach this region, whelp!

Hiei- Whelp?! You have no idea who you're talking to, you old Hyena!


* Gamock snarls. Hiei dodges his first charge easily.


Gamock- You talk too much! We fight now!

Hiei- D--- you! I didn't come here to fight..! I only came to..!


* This time Hiei catches himself, but the old Hyena still smirks.


Gamock- You came for my pack!


* Hiei rolls his eyes. He knew diplomacy wouldn't work here. He remains alert when Gamock begins to advance toward him in a much slower, more calculated manner now. 'Of course, you idiot!' Hiei berates himself as he locks eyes with his opponent, 'He feels threatened because I'm just a rogue male to him. D--- it, I can't kill him, though, or I'll be in even worse s---..'


Hiei- Look, you! My name is Lord Hiei.. I'm Lord Mukuro's Second..


* Gamock pauses his advance.


Hiei- Just.. give me the human girl.. and I'll leave..

Gamock- You can't take her from me.. She is mine.. All of them are mine!


* Hiei's eyes widen briefly when he figures out Gamock's words.


Hiei- You mean.. Your mate..?

Gamock- Mates, b----es, sluts.. I have marked them!

Hiei- Oh d---..


* Without further warning Gamock charges. Hiei blinks to the side but one of Gamock's clawed hands still manages to catch him in the side. The Koorime lands hard in a three-point stance and tries to ignore the pain as his instincts resurface. They whisper to him that first blood has been drawn. Knowing all too well the rules that these packs are governed by, Hiei realizes that now that Gamock has caught scent of his blood it'll do no good to run. This male will hunt him down, the fight will continue until there is a victor. When Hiei begins to pant he glances around and realizes that he has come to a stop much closer to the huddled females. He briefly meets eyes with a similar pair of red eyes before he shifts his attention back to his opponent. The mixture of scents once more invade his nostrils. With an internal sigh Hiei has no choice but to give in to his instincts. It's now a matter of survival as he raises up to meet Gamock's next charge. The two males clash in a test of strength. Hiei smirks. Even though he is smaller, he is clearly stronger than this old Hyena male whose energy even barely registers. But this opponent is stubborn. Hiei becomes slightly distracted with his next realization that Gamock is fighting for his life as well. This point is driven home quite well when Gamock's power surges and Hiei suddenly finds himself thrown to the ground and pinned. Then the old demon's next words serve to bring Hiei's full attention back once more.


Gamock- Admit defeat.. and Gamock will claim you.. I can use another.. bearer..


* The Koorime knows immediately what this means. His brain and instincts finally end their conflict once and for all, both in agreeance that he must get away from this male. Hiei's eyes flare into miniature flames as he raises his head to glare at Gamock.


Hiei- Oh h--- no!


* Up until now, their battle has been purely physical. But faced now with the very real threat of being raped, which Gamock's actions solidify when his hands begin to unbuckle one of Hiei's belts, the Koorime reacts with a renewed vigor that reopens his jagan.


Hiei- Fists of the Mortal Flame!!


* Gamock raises his eyes to meet all three of Hiei's as the apparition draws his glowing right fist back. Before Hiei even delivers the blow the older demon raises up to clutch his head with a scream. It's too late for Hiei to pull the punch that plows into Gamock's gut, though. The old Hyena flies backward several feet before crashing into the solid rock wall underneath an overhang of more of the same kind of rock. Hiei slowly scrambles to his feet, clutching his loosened belt in one hand and wiping blood from the corner of his mouth with the other. He silently watches Gamock's body jerk, spasm, and moan a moment before his brain kicks back into gear. He turns to look toward the other demons.


Hiei- Is any of you a healer?!


* When he gets no response he growls.


Hiei- Come on, d--- it! Every clan usually has a healer!


* Slowly, one of the females stands from the others and moves forward. The one with the similar red eyes. She dips her head respectfully.


Sarista- My name is Sarista..

Hiei- I could care less what the h--- your name is, woman! Are you a healer?

Sarista- I possess some healing..


* Hiei waves his free hand toward Gamock.


Hiei- Then get your a-- over there and heal your master!


* Sarista hesitates, then moves to look closer at Gamock. As she moves past him it sends a full assault of her scent at Hiei, causing him to stagger slightly. The Koorime shakes his head and looks the group over to distract himself. But when he realizes that Sarista isn't doing anything he turns back to glare at her.


Hiei- What are you waiting on?!


* Sarista turns to face Hiei calmly.


Sarista- I'm a healer.. Not a miracle-worker.. Gamock is dead,.. Master.


* Hiei freezes, staring at her for a long moment before groaning and turning away to pinch the bridge of his nose with a murmurred curse.


Sarista- Will you burn him? Or grant me the permission to do so, Master?


* Hiei glances over his shoulder at her.


Hiei- Do whatever you want with him.. I need to go think so leave me the h--- alone!


* Before Hiei can move away very far he hears one of the other females wail and turns to look toward them. As Sarista quickly sends a barrage of flames toward Gamock, the others gather around the stricken female. Hiei notices that she is clutching a slightly rounded belly and looks away, mentally cursing himself now to the lowest hell because he knows what must be taking place. He becomes distracted again when he now notices the flames incinerating the old male's body. The Koorime senses Sarista's power level as well as her heritage. He forces himself to turn away from the full blooded Fire demoness and flits up into the nearest tree. Sarista watches him disappear, then hurries over to give as much comfort as she can to the pregnant female who is now miscarrying.
