Hiei's Harem - Pt 11 - Asserting

Scene 19 --------------- Three Hours Later


* Gamaru stirs and wakes Hiei who sits up quickly to check him.


Hiei- Gamaru.


* The younger male opens his eyes. More awake now, himself, Hiei recognizes a presence and looks toward Silis who is sitting not too far away. He takes note of how rotund Silis has grown. After seeing the proof of his virility in the babies that have already been born, the Koorime realizes that he can no longer doubt his fertility. But it does still befuddle him if he dwells on it too long. He shakes himself and also takes note that Silis looks positively miserable as he leans back against the cave wall.


Hiei- Silis?


* Silis glances toward Hiei then returns his gaze back down to Gamaru. When Hiei looks back down he sees that Gamaru’s eyes are dull and unfocused. He lays his hand on the boy’s chest to begin another energy sharing. It surprises him when Gamaru reaches up to grab his wrist weakly.


Gamaru- N-no.. more..

Hiei- Gamaru, you need to get better.

Gamaru- I.. won’t.. I can’t.. go through this.. no more..

Hiei- You won’t.


* Gamaru forces his eyes to focus up on Hiei.


Hiei- Now you listen to me.. I’ll never be able to appropriately apologize for not being here when you needed me..

Silis- We all know that couldn’t be helped, sir.


* Gamaru nods weakly.


Gamaru- Even.. if you had been.. here.. I would have..

Hiei- No. If I had been here where I belonged I could’ve used my energy to help your babies.

Silis- Sir,.. they were.. stillborns.


* Hiei glances toward Silis. A wave of concern washes through him and he reaches over to touch Silis’ foot.


Hiei- Are you.. okay?


* Silis shakes his head.


Silis- I’ve been so.. concerned about.. Gam.. I don’t think they’re.. happy in here.


* Hiei feels another twinge go through him. This time he acts on it and moves around Gamaru to kneel in front of Silis.


Hiei- Just answer me.. Are you in pain?


* Silis smirks up at him.


Silis- I’m going to have.. three.. maybe four..


* Hiei’s eyes widen.


Hiei- What?!


* In answer Silis relaxes back against the cool cavewall again and works his furred vest open. Hiei almost swallows his tongue when he gulps at the sight of Silis’ four breasts.


Silis- Yeah.. You got me good.

Hiei- D---..


* Silis recloses the vest and grunts as he jerks forward. Hiei automatically reaches out to brace him up.


Hiei- Silis?!

Silis- A.. couple of them can.. kick like little.. jacka-—es.. They have your.. strength, M-Mas-ter.

Hiei- Are you sure that you’re not..?


* Silis shakes his head as he wraps an arm around his middle. He looks back up at Hiei.


Silis- They’re.. very sensi-tive.. They can always feel.. when I’m.. upset.

Hiei- Well, don’t be upset, then.. Want me to help you relax?


* Silis shakes his head and shies away from looking up at him. He looks toward Gamaru again.


Silis- No.. I need to.. be here.. with him.


* With his back now turned toward Gamaru Hiei doesn’t notice him close his eyes to try to hold back his tears. But they still escape. Then he feels them being swabbed away and opens his eyes again. Troiyoku smiles down at him softly.


Troiyoku- Hey, little brother.. You can’t still be sad.. Master Hiei is here now.


* Hiei looks toward the brothers.


Troiyoku- He’s back and he’s going to help you.

Gamaru(Quietly)- No.. He can’t.. bring them back..


* Hiei places his unwarded hand on Gamaru’s arm and continues the sharing that was interrupted before. He feels Gamaru struggling to resist the whole time. When he is done he stands and leaves. Troi watches Gamaru slip back into hibernation then looks at Silis. Silis shakes his head sadly.


Silis- He’s.. too far gone, Troi.. I don’t think.. Ahh.. s---!


* Silis lurches forward again as a more intense pain shoots through him. Troiyoku moves around to hold him.


Troiyoku- Sil,.. I think you’re coming early.

Silis- I can’t.. I-I’m not.. ready..


* He grits his teeth against another pain. Troi chuckles and helps Silis make his way back toward his own bed.


Troiyoku- Well, this isn’t exactly your decision to make, brother.


* It doesn’t surprise Troiyoku when he’s soon joined by the other females. They all hurry over except for Staci. Hiei stands back a bit, watching everything take place. When he sees that Staci moves to sit in Troi’s nest to watch the babies there he looks back toward the others. Silis cries out painfully and Hiei realizes that his link is open to the boy. After the phantom pain nearly doubles him to the ground the Koorime decides to block the bond. When the pain fades away he moves cautiously closer, unsure why he feels so nervous. Then Silis half sits up with another painful curse. Trinka moves around to cradle his head as she whispers telepathic comforts to Silis. Hiei edges closer.


Hiei- ‘Ris,..?


* Sarista half glances up at Hiei.


Sarista- He’s in labor, Hiei.

Hiei- What can I do to..?

Silis- Go away!


* It startles Hiei backward when Silis swipes a clawed hand toward him. Celestia gets ahold of the hand to hold it.


Celestia- You should wait outside.. We’ll explain later.

D’Tara- The meal is ready on the table.


* Silis writhes and cries out again. With a sigh Hiei decides to heed their words. As he leaves the cave he finds the other kids watching curiously from the mouth of the cave. For a couple moments he stares down at the four males and two females. They are nearly all perfect little copies of himself. River looks up at him.


River- Is he dying too, Daddy?


* Hiei growls quietly, then relaxes.


Hiei- No.. Everything will be okay, River.. Why don’t you all go play?


* For a couple moments all their eyes turn upward to look at him. Then suddenly Hisari, being the oldest boy, gets the idea. He shoves several of his siblings down then takes off. Hiei watches the rest of them growl their annoyance and take off after Hisari.
