Hiei's Harem - Pt 11 - Asserting

Scene 18 --------------- The Main Cave


* When Hiei lands in the clearing he quickly raises up out of the crouch to his full height. Almost immediately he finds himself beset upon by three small bodies. River attaches herself to his neck while Sarista’s twin boys clutch each of his legs. The Koorime relaxes and raises his arms to embrace his daughter.


Hiei- River.

River- Missed you.. so much!

Hisari- Brother Gammie needs you!

Hiei- Hn.. I’ll go help him, if I can.. as soon as you release my legs, boys.


* The two boys quickly leap back and Hiei realizes his tone was gruffer than he intended.


Hiei- Relax, boys.. It’s been a long trip.. River,..

River- Can’t let you go no more!


* He hears her sob against his neck and senses how odd her energy feels. He then looks at Sarista when she cautiously leaves the cave and approaches. Hiei notices her nose twitching as she scents him discreetly. He flares his energy out as he did with the Lynxs and Sarista immediately relaxes. He also feels River’s energy stop fluccuating so irratically.


Hiei- Sarista.

Sarista- Shironji told us that you’ve taken more..

Hiei- Show me to Gamaru.. He’s my first priority right now. I’ll explain everything later.


* Sarista nods obediently. As she leads him toward the cave he looks toward the others who are scattered about. His quick eyes notice Celestia nursing her newborn baby. He also notices that Troiyoku and Lily are missing. Inside the cave, though, he finds them. Troiyoku is fast asleep in his nest of furs. Hiei moves to look over the short wall of shrubbery to find three tiny bodies piled together close to the younger Fire hybrid. Lily stands from her task of cleaning Gamaru’s blank face with a cloth when Hiei turns and approaches them. The apparition’s eyes become frozen on the unconscious boy. He feels his chest clench at the sight of this once-burly male that he’d had such a rough time winning over. Sarista attempts to take River and the little girl’s growl snaps Hiei out of his shock.


Hiei- River, go to your Aunt Sarista.

River- Daddy,..


* He looks down at her, meeting her sad, red eyes. The faded dullness in them momentarily distracts him.


Hiei- I’m not going to go anywhere for a long time.. I need to help your brother.


* She reluctantly releases him and leaps to the floor, refusing to go to Sarista. The Alpha Female sighs and looks back at Hiei.


Sarista- She’s becoming very independent.

Hiei- Hn.. I’ll deal with her..


* He looks back down at Gamaru. Then he half glances toward Lily.


Hiei- Lily.

Lily- Welcome home, Master.


* He looks at her more fully and accepts her affectionate, but brief embrace. He then turns his attention back down to the unconscious boy.


Hiei- How do I help him?

Lily- I’m hoping that it’ll just take some energy feeding sessions.. Since you were.. gone when he gave birth..


* Lily quiets when she and Sarista feel his spike of guilt.


Sarista- You’ll have to release that before you deal with him, Hiei.


* Hiei looks at Sarista again. Their talking has roused Troiyoku and he sits up.


Troiyoku- Master?


* Hiei glances toward Troi. The waking boy smiles.


Troiyoku- So glad you’re back.

Hiei- Hn.

Troiyoku- Please.. help Gam.

Hiei- I’ll do what I can, boy.

Lily- Concentrate on your desire for him to recover.. That’ll be transferred to him through your energy.


* Hiei nods. As he kneels beside Gamaru he hears mewling behind him. He half turns to watch Troiyoku lift a very tiny baby to begin nursing him. Hiei then turns his attention back to Gamaru. He closes his eyes, pulls his ward off his head, and opens the jagan. He uses the third eye to amplify his desire to see Gamaru able to nurse his own baby soon. Then he lays one of his hands on the unconscious boy’s chest. Hiei ignores the feel of Gamaru’s immaciated chest as he begins to feed his energy into him.


Lily(Quietly)- Easy, not too much at once.


* Hiei gives the barest nod as he continues. After a few moments he feels Gamaru stir and lifts his hand. He opens his true eyes to watch the boy struggle to open his own. For several moments they just stare at the ceiling unfocused. Then they blink and shift to the side to meet Hiei’s. Gamaru opens his mouth to speak. No audible sound emits, but Hiei hears the weak voice speak his name in his mind.


(#)Gamaru- Master.. Hiei..

Hiei- Hn. I’m back, Gamaru.. You’re going to be okay now.

(#)Gamaru- You will.. release me..?


* Hiei scowls and moves his hand to touch Gamaru’s cheek.


Hiei- H--- no.. I want you to get better so I can kick your a--, boy.

(#)Gamaru- But I.. failed..


* Gamaru’s eyes slide shut again. Hiei stays calm since he feels that the boy has just lost consciousness again.


Hiei- He’s resting.. He’s going to take a long time to fully recover.

Sarista(Quietly)- But he’ll have to want to recover.


* Hiei nods. For a couple moments he gives no further response, then he looks back up at Sarista.


Hiei- I want him to recover as much as you do, ‘Rista.. But I won’t allow him to suffer.. Do you understand me?


* Sarista quietly nods, then turns to leave.


Hiei- ‘Ris,.. I’ve missed you.. All of you.

Sarista- I’m going to go get the others to prepare a meal to welcome you home.

Hiei- I would rather you stay here with me.. I have much to explain.

Sarista- I’ll return.. But you have nothing to explain.


* Hiei sighs, watches her leave, then gathers his ward back up. Lily takes it from him to tie it back in place.


Hiei- Thank you for keeping him with us this long.

Lily- I know what he’s going through.


* Hiei looks at her over his shoulder and nods. When he looks toward Troiyoku again he sees that the boy has laid down and drifted back to sleep.


Lily- You want to hold your newest son?

Hiei- No.. Not yet.


* He feels his own exhaustion catching up with him.


Lily- Go ahead and rest.. I’ll go tell them to take their time with the meal.


* Hiei nods, lays himself out beside Gamaru, and embraces the frail body as much as he can. The last thing he feels is Lily’s tail brushing over him affectionately as she turns to leave.
