Hiei's Harem - Pt 11 - Asserting

Scene 17 ------------------- A Couple Hours Later


* Hiei moans and raises his free hand up to rub his eyes. In his half awake state he growls and squirms until his other arm is freed. Since he feels no threat in the vicinity he takes his time waking up from what must have been a serious expenditure of his energy. When he reaches full awareness he opens his eyes. The first thing he sees is Loreen’s bare, mottled back. As full recollection returns the Koorime sits up behind her to look around. The other females are resting under a shade tree not too far away. Loreen half glances toward him timidly then starts to get to her feet. Hiei stops her by grasping her drooping tail. Again she demonstrates her submission by relaxing back into his arms. But Hiei becomes a bit perturbed by her actions, keeping her eyes lowered and her face away from him, as well as keeping her thoughts shielded from his. This last bit of information truly puzzles him.


Hiei(Quietly)- Did I hurt you?


* She quietly shakes her head.


Hiei(Quietly)- Then what? It’s a bit too late for regrets.


* Now she turns her face to look at him.


Loreen- You regret..?

Hiei- No. It was necessary.


* Loreen scowls then struggles away from him. He watches her move to kneel beside the river and splash water on her face. He then rolls his eyes and stands to close his cloak.


Hiei- If you wish to continue shielding your thoughts from me.. I’ll honor your privacy, cat.


* Loreen growls.


Loreen- My name is Loreen.


* She stands, glances another scowl at him, then yanks her yukata shut angrily as she moves away.


Hiei- Just.. Whatever. Just get the others roused and let’s get moving. We’re almost home.


* He glances toward her again then concentrates on scanning the area after pushing his warded bandana up some. Satisfied that there’s no threats nearby he replaces the cloth. His temple twitches when he hears Loreen snap at one of the others.


Loreen- It’s not your d--- fault! It’s none of your business, either!


* Hiei forces his irritation back and glances toward the females.


Hiei- Let’s go.


* He sets off, sure that they’ll all follow. They remain fairly close as they travel so Hiei hears a pretty good account of what had taken place between them once his instincts took complete control. But he never gathers any clues as to why Loreen’s irritated and withdrawn about it. 'Ch, must be another Sylk deal. D---, these Cats'. Almost the whole rest of the trip the others chide with Loreen. Finally Hiei stops and holds up a hand. Their chatting stops.


Hiei- Stay.


* They obey and watch Hiei step out away from the trees to face the three Lynx brothers. For a couple moments nobody moves, then Hiei flares out some of his energy when he realizes that they’re unsure that it’s really him. Immediately the three brothers drop to their knees.


Habataro- Welcome home, Master.

Hiei- Hn.


* Before he can move away from the treeline further he hears Tachimaru gasp behind him.


Tachimaru(Quietly)- Do you know who that is?!

Chevaux(Quietly)- Hai. Did you hear what he called our Master?


* Hiei rolls his eyes and continues over to the brothers. After placing a hand on each of their heads they stand again.


Hiei- It’s good to be back home.


* When the three brothers look toward the bushes where his new females are hid Hiei sighs and turns.


Hiei- Come on out now, Girls.


* Quite cautiously, the four females leave their hiding place. As soon as the Lynx brothers see Tachimaru they recognize her and look back down at Hiei.


Habataro- Hello.

Kumataro- What the h---?

Coutaro- Those females belonged to Sylk’s pack.

Hiei- Hn. It’s a long story. I have more important things to..

Habataro- You did it, didn’t you?


* Hiei looks up at the smirking male. He quells his desire to smack the expression off Hab’s face.


Hiei- As I just stated.. it’s a d--- long story.

Coutaro- So where’s Sylk?

Kumataro- You had to kill her, didn’t you?

Habataro- Makes sense, I guess..

Hiei- The Panther b---- isn’t dead.. She was.. uncooperative.. so I sent her back to her own territory.


* He thumbs over his shoulder at the females.


Hiei- These are all that’s left of her pack.. They chose to stay with me.. Now I’m hoping that the hut I told Shironji to order you to build is ready.

Habataro- Hai.. But we’ll have to make some.. additions. Shironji didn’t tell us how many to build for.

Kumataro- You’ve marked them as your mates..?

Hiei- Hn. But they’ll have to be integrated carefully.


* Hiei starts off toward the village that he knows resides behind the wall of mist created by Kuma’s barrier.


Habataro- Hold on, sir.. You marked them..


* Hiei pauses to look questioningly up at Habataro.


Hiei- Did I not speak clearly enough?

Habataro- You marked Sylk, also?

Hiei- Hn.

Coutaro- Then you sent her away?

Hiei- I had no choice.. She threatened Sarista and.. her children.. My children.


* The three males look at each other with enlightened nods, then look toward the females.


Kumataro- Do you think these ones won’t have any clashes with your other mates?


* Hiei hesitantly glances toward the females, also.


Coutaro- Especially that Tigress.. She’s Miyarmaru and Tiyarmaru’s sister.

Hiei- I’ve already met Tiyarmaru, not to mention a half a dozen other alphas along the way to Matsua’s place and back. As for the other Tiger.. I killed him before I even met you guys.. Look, I’ll come back later and give you every little detail. Right now, I have to go check on Gamaru.

Habataro- Of course. We’ll see to these ladies, sir.


* Hiei nods and looks back at the women.


Hiei- You’ll go with these guys. There’s been a hut built for you all to live in. I’ll be around to check on you.


* Before they have time to offer any arguments Hiei blinks away. The brothers look back toward Tachimaru.


Habataro- Tachimaru.

Tachimaru- Lynx.

Habataro- If you’ll follow us..

Loreen- I’d rather just find a cave and isolate myself!


* Tachimaru turns and cuffs the Leopardess.


Tachimaru- No. We’re staying together. Now, stop your fussing.

Loreen- B----!

Tachimaru- Prissy!


* Habataro clears his throat to get their attention before the two felines come to more serious blows.


Habataro- Let’s get behind the barrier shall we?


* Tachimaru gives Loreen a last shove then follows the Lynxs off. Coutaro falls back to walk closer beside them.


Coutaro- Master Hiei ordered us to have a large hut built for you near the river, not far from the seperation barrier.

Chevaux- S-seperation.. barrier?


* Cou glances toward the nervous Horse demoness. He recognizes that being in the presence of three strange predatory species is making her uncomfortable so he answers quickly.


Coutaro- One of Master Hiei’s other mates is a Kitsune. She’s got a plant barrier up that seperates..


* They pass through the mist and the four females stop to take in the sight of Habataro’s village.


Coutaro- This village from his ravine.

Habataro- Do we need to warn you about the dangers of getting too close to that barrier?

Garnetia- Not hardly.


* Habataro nods. When Chevaux snorts he looks toward her.


Habataro- You can relax, Mare.. We’d never harm what belongs to our Master.. The hut is this way.


* Habataro motions his brothers to head off then turns to lead the females the rest of the way himself.
