Scene 16 ---------- Inside The Brood Building
* The trio proceeds quietly through the building until they come to the heavy iron door. Hiei watches Dagon motion Shironji to the coding box.
Hiei- Whatever you decide to do with all these demons is up to you, Dagon.. But I would prefer that it be something that will get them out of those cages.
* Dagon merely gives a nod as the door pops open. Hiei half glances up at the taller demon, but remains quiet as they enter this special holding room. Dagon motions to the row of three rooms on the left side.
Dagon- These three are pregnant to the Kitsune Youko.. The ones on the right..
* He motions to the three rooms on the right side of the wide aisle.
Dagon- Are pregnant to the Mazoku.. To Yusuke.
Hiei- You're positive?
Dagon- You have a jagan. Scan them yourself if you don't believe me.
* Hiei looks back up at Dagon as Shironji floats quietly from observation window to observation window, checking on the females inside.
Hiei- Dagon,..
Dagon- They were artificially inseminated.. It traumatized a couple of them terribly as this will be their first carriage.
Hiei- What?
Shironji- He's right, Master.. A couple of these females look like they're barely breeding age.. D---.
* Hiei looks toward Shironji, then goes over to look in the window he's currently hovering in front of.
Hiei- S---!
* Dagon comes over somberly.
Dagon- Her name is Eboni.. She's only thirteen.
* Hiei glares up at Dagon.
Dagon- You should know that I wouldn't lie to you,.. Master.
* Hiei looks back in at the small girl curled up on the thin mattress.
Dagon- I convinced that moron to let me be in constant contact with them in order to determine the genders of their babies..
Hiei- You can do that?
Dagon- No.. I did it to try to comfort them and become acquainted with them.. When I read her thoughts I discovered that she's this Female's daughter.
* Dagon takes them back up to the first window on this side of the room.
Dagon- This one was also bred to Kurama.
* They watch the dark-tan skinned, yellow-eyed female stare at the window with her arms crossed. The slight bulge of her belly shows easily on her sinewy frame through the thin, short yukata she's clad in. A long, pitch black feline tail switches agitatedly behind her. When she turns to begin pacing again they see that her silky, jet-black hair hangs straight down well below the junction where her tail meets her rear.
Hiei- Can she see through this window?
Dagon- No. They're one-way mirrors.. Matsua spared no expense on this place.. except where it concerns their.. creature comforts.
Hiei- Obviously.. I'm sure you'll figure out a better way to make a good living here.
* Dagon ignores the comment.
Dagon- This one is a Panther demoness.. She's quite a helion from what I recall about her.. Her name is Sylk.
* Hiei's eyes widen and become locked on the pacing female inside.
Dagon- All six of these females belonged to her pack.. They're actually all that's left of it. Matsua just captured them not long before he got ahold of your friends. He's already sold off all of the others.
Hiei- Please don't tell me this one was the Alpha of that pack.
* Dagon looks down at Hiei.
Dagon- Yes. How did you..?
* Hiei raises a hand to rub his forehead.
Hiei- Oh, d---.
Dagon- Sir?
Hiei- I think I need to rest before I deal with this anymore.
Dagon- Of course. I can give you one of Matsua's best..
* Hiei shakes his head.
Hiei- Just take me to where you'll be staying, bird.
* Hiei glances back in at Sylk.
Hiei- How far along are they?
Dagon- It's on the chart there.
* Dagon motions to the bulletin board near the main door. Hiei moves to look it over.
Hiei- Three months.. Great.. She'll probably carry what? Four, five?
Dagon- He figured five at least.
* Hiei rubs the back of his neck and leaves the room mumbling vague curses on the fates. Dagon glances at Shironji, who shrugs, then they follow.
