Scene 15
Well, since it’s my birthday today I decided to give you all, my loyal readers.. And I know you’re out there lurking somewhere, lol.. 4 whole new scenes!! One kinda long one and three shorter ones, but nevertheless, enjoy.

Scene 15 ---------- Late That Night
* Sarista works Sarhi off of her breast and sits him down beside his brother. She watches him settle down beside Hisari who tends to sleep all night. She then glances toward the alcove that used to be hers. Her senses tell her that both Sylk and Eboni are fast asleep. When Sarista stands Lily sits up on her mossy bed to look at her.
(#) Lily- He hasn’t come back yet.
(#) Sarista- I’m going to go find him.
* Sarista leaves the cave through the parting vines. She turns to look at Lily who has followed her out.
Lily (Quietly)- I’m coming with you. I bet he’s over in the other cave.. again.
* Sarista nods.
Sarista (Quietly)- That’s the direction I sense him in. Let’s go.
* The two take off. Both females are quite quick and they reach the West Wall cave in no time. They aren’t surprised to find Minoro sitting guard near the mouth of the cave.
Sarista- He’s inside.
Minoro- Yes, Ma’am. He left orders that he’s not to be disturbed.
Sarista- He gave us the right to make up our own minds.
Lily- We’re going in.
Minoro- He’s not in a very good mood.
Sarista- What happened now?
* Minoro shrugs.
Lily- Do I have to string you up with a vine?
* Minoro sighs. He then looks up when he feels Hiei come to the opening.
Hiei- What the h--- are you two doing here?! You should be asleep in your cave!
* Sarista moves to face Hiei.
Sarista- Forgive us for being worried about you.
* Hiei feels her deep concern, despite her sarcastic tone. He look up at Lily when she comes over.
Lily- You know how stubborn we can be.
* Hiei knows that he could exude his dominant aura and send them away. But instead he realizes that he really has no desire to be alone now that they’re here.
Hiei- Hn.. Come on in, then.
* Hiei looks down at Minoro.
Minoro- I’ll be right here, sir.
Hiei- Of course you will.
* Hiei cuffs Minoro playfully and goes back inside. Sarista and Lily follow closely behind him. Sarista watches Hiei move to the far side of the inner chamber and sit down. Lily moves to join him as Sarista sends a small burst of flames into the firepit. Hiei notices that they’re black flames and feels a twinge of pride in the progress his former Alpha mate has made. A moment later, though, it reminds him of the sacrifice she made to keep peace in his pack. He lowers his eyes.
Lily- If you don’t want to talk..
Hiei- I have nothing to say.
* arista comes over and sits down on his other side facing him.
Sarista- We know you’re upset.. We just don’t know.. why.. or how to help you.
Hiei- Things are becoming complicated.
Lily- How so?
Hiei- I want to move all of you to the fortress.. But every time I meant to start out my instincts kept me back.. Now I’ve learned today that Tachimaru may be going into labor.
Sarista- She’s one of your new mates, right?
Hiei- Hn.. The Tigress.. You remember that rogue Tiger I killed?
Sarista- Hai. The one that almost took you with him.
Hiei- Tachi is his sister.. When I killed her brother Miyarmaru it left her other brother Tiyarmaru in charge of their clan.
Lily- So you have another mate that resents you?
Hiei- No. She doen’t resent me.. She’s just.. feral right now.. It seems that all Cat species demons go feral when they’re pregnant.
Sarista- Like Sylk.
* Hiei glances up at her.
Hiei- She’s close to birthing, too.. So is her daughter.
Lily- So you’ll keep us here for a few days more.. Not such a big problem.
Sarista- There’s something else.. Something deeper.
* Hiei looks away from their probing eyes toward the firepit.
Hiei- I have to go accept this new position sooner or later.. Her orb has already passed into me.
Sarista- This is a problem? It’s not about Staci..?
Hiei- No.. I did what I had to.. The problem is that when I make this known it’s going to cause a stir with the other two Lords.. Both of them are unpredictable.
Sarista- What about this King Enki?
* Hiei just snorts and gives no further comment.
Lily- You think they’ll attack you?
Hiei- I have no idea.
Sarista- So what if they do? You don’t think you could take them?
Hiei- One I’ve already faced.. Twice.. Yusuke Urameshi bested me once and we fought to a draw the second time.. I’ve never actually fought Yomi.. But he has a Second that.. Well, his Second is Kurama.
Lily- Ku..? As in Youko Kurama?!
Hiei- Hn.
* Sarista tilts her head at Lily.
Sarista- You know him?
Lily- Most Kitsunes have heard of him.. He’s a very powerful Kitsune.. A rare Silver.. I hear he’s quite handsome..
* Hiei looks at Lily and she twitches her nose at him.
Hiei- He’s one of the few I consider a friend.. So is Yusuke.
* Now Sarista begins to piece things together.
Sarista- Hmm.. I thought you believed we demons took no care for such things as love.. or friendship.
* Hiei slowly shifts his gaze to Sarista.
Hiei- You can be a real b---- sometimes.
* The Fire demoness wrinkles her nose cutely at him. Impulsively Hiei reaches a hand up and snatches her closer.
Hiei- And if you ever change.. I’ll gut you, Woman.
* He captures her lips. Their kiss deepens until Hiei feels Lily begin to work his cloak open. He pulls away from Sarista to look at the Kitsune vixen.
Hiei- Lily,..
Lily- Just answer me something now, Love.
Hiei- What?
Lily- Will you.. leave Staci there? Won’t you miss her?
* Hiei sighs deeply and leans back against the cool rock wall behind him as he looks toward the firepit again.
Hiei- She’s still mine. She refused to let me release her.. But she’s a human.. Where my increased power draws demons to me like a magnet.. It’ll always repell humans.. Those fragile, weak beings fear demons. And the stronger we are the worse their stench is.. It sickens me.
Sarista- That fragile, weak human survived here longer than most would.
* Hiei nods.
Hiei- I.. admired her for that.. But her child will be a halfbreed.. I’ve seen too many examples of what’s done to halfbreeds here.
Sarista- And they’ll accept the child better there?
* For a couple moments Hiei doesn’t respond. Then he stands to move away.
Hiei- It would be best if that child were stillborn.
* Lily and Sarista feel Hiei’s anguish briefly before he closes himself off to them once more and leaves the cave. The two females look at each other sadly.
