Hiei's Harem - Pt 11 - Asserting

Scene 15 ------------- A Couple Hours Later


* When Hiei feels Tachi stirring awake behind him he glances over his shoulder toward her.


Hiei- Tiger, how long does it usually take that Leopard to hunt?


* Tachimaru sits up quickly to glance toward the other two females who are sitting nearby.


Tachimaru- Loreen isn’t back yet?

Garnetia- No.

Tachimaru- How long has it been?

Hiei- A couple hours.

Chevaux- She hardly ever gets lost.


* Tachimaru closes her yukata with a growl.


Tachimaru- You should’ve woke me sooner!

Hiei- You needed your rest.. I don’t feel any type of distress coming from her.

Tachimaru- Loreen doesn’t know the meaning of that word.

Garnetia- We told him that.

Hiei- Don’t panic. It’s not good for the brats.


* Chevaux and Garnetia join Tachi in scowling at Hiei. Then they watch him stand, move closer to the river, and remove his bandana completely. The Tigress folds her arms.


Tachimaru- D--- little b------.. You know exactly where she is with that thing.


* Hiei smirks.


Hiei- It’s called a jagan. Don’t ever disrespect it.. Hn, I know that she’s been captured.


* Now Chevaux and Garnetia stand.


Garnetia- What?!

Chevaux- How long have you..?

Hiei- I told you to stay calm.. She’s not being harmed.. But there are watchers all around her.

Tachimaru- Do you know who rules that Territory?

Hiei- No. But I’m suspecting that you do.


* Tachimaru stands and goes over beside him to scan the far bank easily in the darkness.


Tachimaru- It’s actually ruled by a pair of brothers.. Or at least it was last I.. heard.

Hiei- So far I can only make out Coyote demons clearly.. But they mostly appear to be rogues.. I can’t make out what species the watchers are.

Tachimaru- You won’t see the main pack until they want you to.

Hiei- Hn. All I can make out are shadows around the Leopardess.


* He closes the jagan and looks back up at Tachi.


Hiei- I suppose that means they can do that trick that you showed me.


* Tachimaru contemplates her answer a moment, then looks down at Hiei.


Tachimaru- We Tigers call it camoflauging.

Hiei- Tigers, hmm?


* Hiei nods and looks back off across the river.


Hiei- Stay here and watch these two. I’ll go..

Tachimaru- Not without me, you’re not.


* Chevaux and Garnetia voice their stern agreement with Tachimaru. Hiei closes his eyes a moment, then turns to face all three.


Garnetia- You’re our Alpha now.

Chevaux- We’re going to help you.

Tachimaru- I told you. Sylk has trained us.

Hiei- That was before you all became pregnant.

Tachimaru- We go with you now or we follow after.. Either way, you’re not going into that Territory without us.


* Hiei scowls at their stubbornness. When they all hold firm in their words he relents with a growl.


Hiei- You’ve all been without a proper Alpha so long you’ve forgotten how to listen.

Garnetia- Tachi and I can use that tree like Loreen did. You’ll have to carry Chevie across.


* Hiei sizes up the second largest female a moment. Then he suddenly scoops her off her feet into his arms, uses a burst of his energy, and blinks across the river. He then puts the Horse demoness down and turns to look back at the other three. Chevaux snorts with amusement.


Hiei- We’re waiting, Ladies!


* Tachimaru and Garnetia exchange quick glances, then make their way across the river using the bent tree. When Tachimaru stays in the crouch she landed in Hiei hurries over to her.


Hiei- Tiger?

Tachimaru- I’m okay.. Just give me.. a minute.. to catch my breath.

Hiei- I should order you three to..


* Tachimaru raises up to her full height and habitually glares down at him. It surprises her some when he just turns away from her unintimidated.


Tachimaru- We’re going to rescue Loreen.

Hiei- I’m going to rescue her.. You three are going to stay behind me.


* When Hiei starts off Tachimaru and the others keep right up behind him.


Tachimaru- Right behind you.

Hiei- No.

Tachimaru- Yes.

Garnetia- D---, you two.. They probably hear us coming already.


* Hiei glances a smirk at the Jackal hybrid.


Hiei- That’s the whole idea, Girl.


* He thinks a moment, then stops to look back at Tachi.


Hiei- Can you put your Camo trick around all three of you?


* In answer, the three females join hands and fade into the darkness.


Hiei- Alright. You can come on one condition.. You stop and stay where I tell you to, when I tell you to.


* Tachimaru gives a deep growl.


Chevaux- Oh for s---‘s sake! Just agree already, Tach!

Garnetia- Yeah.

Tachimaru- Fine!


* Hiei nods and starts off. He keeps his pace steady for a couple miles before his jagan flares and he stops again. He feels the three females stop behind him.


(#) Hiei- D---, we’re surrounded.. Stay out of sight.

(#) Tachimaru- Want us to move back and give you room, Master?

(#) Hiei- Hn. It would be appreciated, Woman.


* Hiei feels them back off and removes his concealed katana as he looks all around.


Hiei- I know you’re here.. Show yourselves.


* In a moment some bushes right in front of Hiei rustle. Then he finds himself looking up at a rather large Tiger demon that materializes in front of him. He almost cringes at the familiarity of this situation.


Hiei- Well, de ja vu.

Tiger- My name is Tiyarmaru.. And I seriously doubt that this meeting will end the same as when you met my brother.

Hiei- I was well within my rights.. Your.. brother.. was trying to invade my Territory.


* Tiyarmaru rolls his eyes.


Tiyarmaru- You must be new around here.. You have no idea how things are run in this region.


* Hiei remains alert, ignoring Tachimaru when she tries to get his attention telepathically.


(#) Tachimaru- Master,..

Hiei- Perhaps you should enlighten me.

Tiyarmaru- Well, you see. It’s like this, Boy..


* Hiei snarls but Tiyarmaru ignores it.


Tiyarmaru- I invade this Territory. Another invades mine. Someone else invades yours..

Hiei- And nothing gets accomplished.


* The Tiger glares down at Hiei for interrupting him.


Hiei- Perhaps that’s the way it used to be.

(#) Tachimaru- Master, please..

Tiyarmaru- Used to..? Oh, I suppose you got big plans on changing things?


* Tiyarmaru’s chuckle turns into a brief laugh. Then he leans to glare more intensely at the shorter apparition.


Tiyarmaru- It’s always the new alphas that come in here and try to do this!

Hiei- You have something that belongs to me, Tiger. You will return her.

(#) Tachimaru- Master!


* Both Hiei and the Tiger look aside irritated.


Both- Will you shut up, Tachimaru!


* Hiei catches himself and the two males glare at each other again, but a bit more puzzled. Tachimaru rolls her eyes and drops her camoflauge barrier. She then moves forward to stand beside Hiei.


Hiei- D--- it, I told you to..!

Tachimaru- Hello, Ti.

Tiyarmaru- Tachi.


* Hiei quiets and watches carefully as the two Tigers embrace.


Tiyarmaru- What the h--- are you doing here with this little upstart, Sis?

Hiei- Hn. Why did I not see this coming?


* Tachi half glances down at Hiei when she pulls back away from her brother.


Tiyarmaru- No matter. You’re about to witness me take my revenge on this..

Tachimaru- You’re not going to fight him, Ti.


* Tiyarmaru hesitantly takes his eyes off of Hiei to look at her.


Tiyarmaru- What? But he killed our brother Miyarmaru.

Hiei- Once again. That Tiger tried to invade my Ravine.


* Tachimaru lowers her eyes.


Tachimaru- I’m saddened to hear that our brother is dead.. But I can’t allow you to attack this demon.

Tiyarmaru- Why not?

Tachimaru- It’s a long story.

Tiyarmaru- It better be a d--- good one.. Wait, is he the one you were calling..?


* Tachimaru turns her head to show her brother Hiei’s mark that resembles a tiny one-eyed black dragon.


Tiyarmaru- A.. one-eyed.. dragon?


* Hiei lowers his sword, but stays alert as he watches the Tigress relate all the events that have recently transpired. When she is done Tiyarmaru raises a hand to rub one of his rounded ears.


Tiyarmaru- Well, d---.. That does make this kind of.. complicated.. It’s our right that we take revenge on him for..

Tachimaru- Oh give it a rest, Ti. We both know what an idiot Miyar was.. Master Hiei speaks the truth. He was defending his home.


* Tiyarmaru growls.


Tachimaru- Ti, will you listen to me?! If Master Hiei was a rogue that came into your Territory..

Tiyarmaru- He’s here isn’t he? He has a jagan..


* Hiei quirks an eyebrow since he’d replaced his ward over the third eye not long after they left the river.


Tiyarmaru- He could be using it to manipulate you.


* The Koorime almost smirks openly when Tachi gives her stubborn brother a sound cuff with one of her large paws. The blow makes him shake his head to clear it.


Tachimaru- Don’t make me hurt you, Little brother.. I’m not that weak!

Tiyarmaru- Yeah. That’s about how I’d expect you to react.

Tachimaru- I’m his mate now. He wouldn’t harm me.

Hiei- As I said. Your brother approached my Territory and expressed his desire for my pack. He attacked me after I gave him two chances to leave.


* Tiyarmaru looks back down at Hiei for several moments until Tachimaru speaks again.


Tachimaru(Quietly)- You know what his weakness was.


* Hiei glances up at Tachi.


Hiei- Pregnant females.


* Tachimaru looks away. Tiyarmaru sighs deeply.


Tiyarmaru- Hai.. It’s why he never took a mate.. And why there’s very few of our own females left.. Father even had to send Tachi away for her own protection from our older brother.

Hiei- Look, Tiger,..

Tiyarmaru- Tiyarmaru.


* The Tiger demon relaxes his defensive aura.


Hiei- Whatever. Just give me my Leopardess and we’ll be on our way.. I’ll even allow Tachimaru to stay here with her family.


* Tiyarmaru glances toward his sister puzzled.


Tiyarmaru- But.. I thought you’re her Alpha?

Hiei- I am.

Tiyarmaru- And you’d just.. leave her..? Don’t you know that she’s..?

Tachimaru- My cubs aren’t his, Ti.


* Tiyarmaru looks at her in disbelief.


Tiyarmaru- You don’t have to defend him anymore, Sis.

Tachimaru- I told you. We were captured by that b------ Matsua.. He’s the one that planted.. the seed in me.. artificially.


* Hiei feels the Tigress’ embarrassment. It further strains his patience.


Hiei- The whole explanation will take longer than I care to take right now.. Are you going to return my other female?

Tiyarmarau- If you know her cubs aren’t yours..?

Hiei- Hn, I do.. It doesn’t matter to me.


* Tiyarmaru can’t wrap his mind around this fact or figure out how to respond.


Tachimaru- Ti, just release Loreen.

Hiei- Your sister will have plenty of time to explain the whole situation later.


* Tiyarmaru growls again.


Tiyarmaru- I get it now! You’re trying to dump my sister!


* Tachimaru rolls her eyes again, smacks Tiyarmaru upside his head again, then looks down at Hiei as Tiyarmaru clears his head again.


Tachimaru- Please forgive my brother, Master. He’s always been a dumba--.

Hiei- Let’s hope those genes don’t run in the family.


* Tachimaru looks at her brother.


Tachimaru- Release Loreen. Now.


* Tiyarmaru waves one of his paws. A couple fellow Tigers appear and move away to pull a tarp off of the cage Loreen is in. The Leopardess remains seated, scowling with her arms crossed. The young tigers look back at their leader.


Tiyarmaru- Release her.


* The cage is opened, but Loreen takes her time leaving it. She boldly moves straight toward the Alpha Tiger until Hiei blurs to intercept her. When he grabs her arm she glares down at him.


Hiei- You will not raise your hands to this Alpha, Woman.. You’re unharamed. Correct?

Loreen- This.. a—hole ambushed me! He could have harmed my cub!

Tiyarmaru- Please, accept my apology. No harm was intended toward you.


* Loreen looks back up at Tiyarmaru.


Tiyarmaru- I seen this little guy with all of you females that were supposed to be with Sylk..

Loreen- I tried to tell you, you idiot!

Tiyarmaru- Jagan wielders are renowned for their mind-controlling abilities.

Hiei- Can we just call this settled? I have to get back to my Ravine.


* Tiyarmaru looks back at his sister again, then nods.


Tiyarmaru- Hai. As long as you mean my Territory no harm.

Hiei- I have enough s--- to deal with keeping track of my own.

Tiyarmaru- You’re also developing quite a reputation around here.

Hiei- Don’t believe every rumor you hear, Tiger.


* Hiei looks up at Tachi.


Hiei- The choice is yours, Tachi.. You may stay here if you wish. It’s close enough that you can call on me anytime you need me. I’m sure you’ll be well-protected here.


* Hiei looks toward the other two females.


Hiei- Let’s go.


* He gives Loreen a gentle shove and starts off. Tachimaru remains in contemplation a moment, then raises her eyes to meet her brother’s.


Tachimaru- He’s my Alpha, Ti.. I’ve accepted him.

Tiyarmaru- I understand, Sis.

Tachimaru- Like he said, I won’t be far away now.


* Tiyarmaru nods. They hug once more, then he watches his sister take off to catch up to the others. She thwaps Hiei playfully with her tail as she reaches him and he pauses. After she speaks a few words and bows the Koorime gives her a nudge and continues on his way. Whatever he says makes all the females laugh amongst themselves. The two younger tigers move over beside Tiyarmaru.

Younger Tiger- He’s a strange little demon.

Tiyarmaru- Strange.. Hai.. But one we need to keep away from.. He could’ve taken me out quicker than he did your Uncle, boys.


* The young males look back toward the disappearing group, then turn and disappear back into the thick forest behind Tiyarmaru.

Yeah, only one chapter today. But it’s a nice long one to keep you busy till Monday or so. Don’t forget to review to let me know there’s still interest in this hunk o’ junk. Lol. (??)
