Hiei's Harem - Pt. 1 - Establishment

Scene 15 ---------------------------------- Inside The Cave


* When Hiei enters he notices Staci still laying on her bed of furs. He pauses as their eyes meet, then he calmly turns aside and moves to a bucket hanging by a vine below a constantly trickling spring coming out of the cavewall.


Hiei- This is for drinking?

Staci- Yes, sir.. There's a couple cups on the ledge to the side.

Hiei- Hn. I can see that.


* Hiei dips out a cupful of the cool, clear water. He sips the sweet-tasting liquid as he studies the vine holding the bucket securely in place.


Hiei- This is the Fox b----'s doing?

Staci- Yes.. Her name is Lily.


* Hiei half glances toward her, then dips out another cupful and takes it over to her. Staci sits up cautiously, then nods her nervous thanks as he hands her the cup. Hiei studies her and the bed she's now kneeling on as she drinks the water.


Hiei- So you're a late-riser like every other human I've ever known, hmm?


* Staci shrugs, but keeps her eyes lowered.


Hiei- When I ask you a question I'll expect an answer,.. girl.

Staci- I usually wake with the others, but I was.. feeling a bit.. weak this morning, sir.


* Staci swallows and glances up at him timidly. In her knelt position she is nearly on the same level as his intense gaze. Through the developing bond Hiei can feel her trepidation at his presence.


Hiei- I will expect you to be truthful with me.. We are mated now so I have no intention of harming you.. unless you provoke me beyond reason.. Do you plan to do this?

Staci- No, Master. I Know my place..

Hiei- Then relax and tell me the cause of your.. weakness.


* After a moment, Staci closes her eyes and forces herself to relax as told. She eases her position to the side, but continues to keep her eyes lowered. Hiei wills his jagan to open some as she answers.


Staci- It.. is a human.. female condition.. It's not life-threatening.. If it were Mistress Sarista would help me.

Hiei- I see that your bed is a bit thicker than all of the others.. but that one.


* Hiei motions toward the very thick pile of furs situated in a large alcove off to the left side.


Staci- That is Mistress Sarista's bed.

Hiei- The other females take special care of you, don't they?


* Staci nods a bit nervously again.


Staci- Yes.. B-but I d-don't ask them to..


* The jagan catches her renewed spike of fear and Hiei places a hand on her head. For a reason he really can't explain, this emotion in his female bothers him more than fear in a human normally would.


Hiei- What's your name again?

Staci- S-Staci, Master.

Hiei- I told you, I'm not going to hurt you.. I want to know why you don't trust me.. I'm going to scan your thoughts. You will relax and allow me to do this.


* Staci looks up a bit puzzled as Hiei nudges his ward up away from the jagan. When she sees the glowing third eye she gasps and flinches back away from him.


Hiei- This will not hurt as long as you relax, girl.. Not just calm down and focus on my third eye.. You must learn to trust me.


* Staci looks back up at Hiei then nods slightly and turns her attention back up to the jagan. She tilts her head as she begins to feel the soft brush of energy.


Staci- Oh, it's such a.. pretty.. shade of..


* Hiei smirks as he watches her stare become blank before she can finish her sentence. He then closes his true eyes. It doesn't take very long at all for the jagan to ease away all shreds of any fear she harbored as it enters her thoughts. For several minutes he searches through her memories. Her body soon goes almost completely limp until only the power of the connection keeps her from collapsing completely. In under an hour the Koorime has learned everything he needs to know of her past. He opens his eyes, braces her with a hand on her shoulder, and withdraws the jagan slowly. When it is fully closed once more the connection releases Staci. she blinks a couple times as she finishes her last coherant thought.


Staci- Purple..

Hiei- Close your eyes and center yourself, Staci.


* Still in somewhat of a trance, the blonde quietly obeys. Hiei pulls the bandana back down into place.


Hiei- I see you've had a rough time.


* Staci cautiously looks back up at him.


Staci- Wh-what did you..? You're done?

Hiei- I just scanned your memories. I did nothing to harm you.

Staci- M-my.. memories..? Th-then you.. y-you know everything that's been..?


* Hiei nods. He decides to sit down beside her in hopes that this will help her settle down.


Hiei- I've worked this past year patrolling the border between this world and Human World.. the new King, Enki, has enacted many new laws that prevent.. things like what happened to you.. from taking place anymore..


* Staci looks away from him as she lifts her knees to hug them.


Staci- That's good to hear.. Gamock knew about most of these.. changes.. you speak of.. But he always made sure that I knew none of them would ever do me much good.. You want me to be honest with you, will you be honest with me? His words were true.. weren't they?


* Hiei lays his legs out in front of him as he leans back on his arms some.


Hiei- Hn.. These laws were not in place in time to go back and punish all those who abused you so.. But I'm not sure how they would handle what I've had to do to you.


* Staci calms herself down, then looks at him.


Staci- I gave you permission to look into my memories, didn't I?

Hiei- I'm not referring to that, girl.


* He looks at her, his gaze then settles on her neck that now bears his mark. It has scarred in the form of a black dragon forming the letter H.


Hiei- I'm talking about my having to mark you.. The fact that I now have to keep you.


* Staci hesitantly shrugs, then sighs deeply as she lowers her eyes again.


Staci- Mistress Sarista says you only did that to.. spite her.


* Hiei growls a little as he sits up and crosses his arms.


Hiei- Mistress Sarista talks too much!


* Staci suddenly gasps then turns and grasps his arm.


Staci- Oh no! Did I just get her in trouble?!


* Hiei glances down to where she's touching him, the feel of her hands have sent jolting tingles through his arm. He then looks up to meet her worried eyes.


Hiei- No.. I told you, I'm not going to be like.. all those others.


* Staci studies him a moment.


Staci- I-I want to believe you..

Hiei- Hn. Good.. Perhaps in time you will learn to trust me.


* Staci smiles in such a manner that makes Hiei wander if the same sensations have gone through her as well.


Staci- It truly was a good day when she.. I mean, when you..

Hiei- Relax, girl. I already know this was all her scheming plot.

Staci- She only did it for us.


* Hiei nods. He draws his right knee up and rests his warded arm on it. After a couple moments of silence, and realizing her reluctance to release his other arm, he meets her eyes again.


Hiei- Before that Royal Tournament I spent.. a lot of time in Human World.

Staci- Were you a human eater?

Hiei- No. The race actually makes me sick..


* Hiei catches himself when Staci releases him now rather quickly and looks away.


Staci- So you will not be.. using me..

Hiei- D---, is that all you b----es ever think about?

Staci- (Quietly) It is the only purpose of a.. b---- here in this world.

Hiei- More of Gamock's stupid words?


* Staci glances back up at Hiei. The apparition finds himself hoping that she'll touch him again and shakes his head to try to dispell such thoughts.


Hiei- Well, they're not mine..! Feh! I don't care to even think about what Mukuro would have done to the old b------ if she had met him.. She probably would have fed his balls to him.. Or pulled them off through his broken nose..


* Staci blushes, but raises a hand to muffle her snort of amusement.


Staci- I would have enjoyed watching that.

Hiei- Hn.. So would I.


* Hiei looks at her again and she quiets her snickering.


Staci- Nevertheless, this has been my whole life since I was brought here..

Hiei- I have seen all of that.. I know that you were very young when you were brought here.. I know how many.. offspring have you produced..


* Staci looks away and Hiei feels her sadness creep into his thoughts.


Staci- (Quietly) Only.. one..

Hiei- Hn.. That master injured you and caused you to lose it.


* Staci clamps her eyes shut.


Staci- Y-you seen..?

Hiei- Hai.. I seen how he had the gaul to blame you afterwards.


* Staci nods.


Staci- He said that it.. sickened him.. He said I should have been.. sterilized.. He was planning to do that to me, but then Gamock showed up.. The next thing I knew Oroyo was dead and I was leaving with Gamock.


* Hiei looks away.


Hiei- If I could do so I would return you to Human World.

Staci- Because I don't.. please you.. Because I'm a..

Hiei- Don't finish that!


* Staci glances at him again.


Hiei- I want you to forget them.. Forget all the idiotic things Gamock said.. I have more honor in my big toe than any of them!

Staci- Physical pain eventually goes away, but.. the pain of words always lingers..


* Hiei looks at her again and meets her crystal blue eyes. Once more he feels himself connecting to her as she continues speaking.


Staci- This life.. is all I've ever known.. since I was brought here.. I've watched all of the others have their babies.. To be able to raise them until Gamock.. sold them.. But he never gave me any..

Hiei- And you think that's a bad thing? You do realize that any child you produce will be a half-breed, right?


* Staci nods slightly and lowers her eyes. Hiei's right hand twitches with the desire to lift her face back up, but he manages to quell it.


Staci- Would you.. love that child any less.. than you will Sarista's? Or will you..?

Hiei- Any child of mine will be cursed enough!


* She looks back up at him a little surprised, then her expression softens into one of sadness.


Staci- I wish I could see the memories that cause you to think so poorly of yourself.. For some reason, the longer I'm here beside you, the more I can feel how much stronger you are than any.. of those others I ever belonged to..


* Hiei's eyes widen slightly when Staci musters her courage and allows herself to be drawn closer toward him. He starts to speak her name but her lips close on his. Hiei's warded hand jerks up impulsively to push her away, but pauses at the feel of the soft swell it lands on. As the gentle kiss continues Hiei's instincts niggle him to realize that he really has no reason to deny the arousal she's stirring to life within him, 'She's marked.. human or not.. she is mine'. Slowly, Hiei moves the hand around to lay on her back and gently embraces her closer. Just then Celestia enters.


Celestia- M'Lord, the.. umm.. meal is..


* Hiei pulls back away from Staci to look toward Celestia.


Hiei- Ready?

Celestia- Hai, Master.. I didn't mean to interrupt..

Hiei- Hn.. We'll be out in a moment.


* The wolf hybrid bows and leaves. Hiei moves his hand up to rub his forehead a moment. He then sighs and looks back at Staci.


Hiei- I could see your past, but I don't have the ability to see the future.. We will just have to.. see what comes.. Fair enough?

Staci- It's what we all do here most of the time, anyway.


* Hiei watches her stand and leave. After a healthy dose of cursing himself, yet again, for his weakness toward these females he stands and follows.
