Scene 14
Scene 14 --------- The River Hut
* Hiei pauses in front of the curtained door to allow his jagan to scan the area. Sensing nothing threatening Hiei goes on inside. He stops when he realizes that he’s walked in on feeding time. For a moment he considers leaving, but then he notices the Tigress laying on the couch. His senses hone in on her through the bond and he goes over to her. Garnetia and Loreen both look toward him as they continue nursing their sons. Chevaux glances at Hiei as she dabs Tachimaru’s sweaty brow.
Hiei- She’s in pain.
* As soon as Hiei speaks Tachi growls and lashes out at him. He catches the large clawed hand easily and holds it. When he begins to feed some of his energy into her Tachi recognizes him. She relaxes some, but still snarls painfully.
Chevaux- We think she’s going into labor.
Hiei- She’s not due for another week.
* Loreen snorts.
Loreen- She’s a Tigress and she’s going to have triplets.. Her labor may last for a week.
* Hiei glances toward Loreen and Garnetia.
Hiei- D---..
Garnetia- But then again, she could deliver any time.. She’s been having these spells for a couple days now.
* Hiei looks back down at Tachimaru as he continues the energy transfer. It seems to slowly settle her some.
Hiei- Triplets?
Loreen- That’s what she says.
Tachimaru- There are.. three.. I can feel them!
Hiei- Alright, Tiger. Calm down.
Tachimaru- Go to.. h---!
Hiei- I’ve become very acquainted with the place.
* Tachi rolls her bi-colored, angry eyes up at him.
Hiei- That was a joke, Tachi.. Get over it, because you know by now that I’m not going anywhere.
* Chevaux looks up at him with her ears laid back. He realizes that she's sensing the change in him.
Chevaux- But don’t you have to.. go.. claim something?
Hiei- They’ll wait.
Loreen- Claim something?
* Hiei suddenly realizes that he hasn’t been here to give them the news, yet. He releases Tachimaru and turns to be facing all of them.
Hiei- Hn.. Lord Mukuro has passed on.
Chevaux- That explains why you feel so.. different.
Hiei- The b---- refused to remove me from being her heir.. She’s passed her orb of power on to me.
* Upon hearing this all the females become more alert.
Hiei- That’s right.. I’m now the new Lord of her third of Demon World.
Loreen- D-do you.. know how to.. activate..?
Hiei- Hn.. One of these days I may come across an S or higher.. But I’m not in any rush.
Garnetia- You’re Quest now.. There’s not very many demons that reach that level.
Chevaux- The closest one around here.. is Lord Yomi.
* Hiei looks at Cheveaux a moment. Sometimes her perceptiveness astounds him. He then looks toward Loreen who is placing her Fox hybrid kit down on the floor to play. Loreen notices and glances down at her son nervously. Hiei turns to leave.
Hiei- Keep me alerted about Tachi’s condition.
* With that he leaves. Loreen looks at the others.
Garnetia- Isn’t your kit’s Sire Lord Yomi’s Second?
* Loreen remembers Hiei telling her about Kurama. She looks down at her kit who is now trying to catch her twitching tail. Chevaux returns to tending to Tachimaru when she groans.
