Hiei's Harem - Pt. 10 - Initiating

Scene 12 ---------- The Next Morning


* When Hiei wakes up he finds himself cradled in a pair of strong, tawny-furred arms. As his senses and mobility return to him he rolls his head to learn that it is Habataro's arms. The Lynx smiles and dips his head to greet him with a brief, but clearly affectionate kiss. Having grown accustomed to such displays from these three brothers, Hiei accepts the kiss until he remembers why he's here in this hut. Hab lets Hiei shoot upright, but grips his shoulder.


Habataro- Easy, sir.

Hiei- Troyo,..

Habataro- He and the babies are fine. Your other mates have returned to the ravine already.


* Hiei looks at Habataro again.


Hiei- Babies? - As in..?

Habataro- Twins.. They're in Kuma's bedroom. You know the way there.


* Hiei looks toward the curtained doorway, then hurries over and pushes through it. He pauses his advance when he sees that Troiyoku is nursing his two mewling babies. One of them actually looks up and gives a tiny growl when Hiei approaches closer. Troi smiles wearily up at his Alpha.


Troiyoku- Morning, Master.. Surprise.


* Hiei half glances toward Coutaro who stirs awake on the other side of the futon.


Coutaro(Mumbled)- Wha.. y'need, Babe?


* Coutaro then notices Hiei and looks at Troiyoku as he backs away some.


Coutaro- I'll just..

Hiei- Relax, cat. You can stay if you wish.


* Coutaro relaxes some but stays where he is and remains quiet to present himself as unobtrusive as possible. Hiei returns his attention to Troiyoku.


Hiei- Surprise, indeed.. Twins again.


* Troi closes his eyes and Hiei realizes the tone he'd used. The Koorime shakes his head and kneels to lay one of his hands on his mate's head.


Hiei- No, I'm not displeased, boy.


* Troiyoku holds his peace as Hiei then lifts the observant baby boy up into his arms.


Hiei- I take it you must be the firstborn, son.


* Hiei lifts the tiny clawed hand up to his mouth. When he completes the biting ritual the boy grasps one of Hiei's fingers and draws it down to his own mouth to begin suckling on it. The sensation is not as foreign to the Jaganshi anymore and he quickly relaxes into a fully seated position.


Troiyoku- We have a son.. and a daughter.


* Hiei looks toward the second baby that Troi's still holding. She seems a bit listless as Troiyoku situates her around so she can be viewed better. Both babies have the same trademark black flame-shaped tufts. But the girl holds a tiny, single patch of aqua-colored hair.


Hiei- Is she well?

Troiyoku- She's weak, but perhaps some of your energy will help her.


* Hiei nods, but looks back down at the little boy who gurbles.


Hiei- Have you named them?

Troiyoku- Only her.. You should know that you get the job for him by now.


* Troiyoku chuckles when Hiei rolls his eyes at himself.


Hiei- Right. You'd think I'd know that by now.. Well, then, let's see.


* The baby boy in his arms lifts his red eyes to meet Hiei's. The Koorime smirks when he hears the tiny voice immediately in his mind.


Hiei- Tanto, hmm? (1)


* The little boy purrs and continues nibbling on Hiei's finger happily. Hiei quirks an eyebrow then looks at Troiyoku again.


Hiei- This one is a rather bold one.

Troiyoku- Mother says he's very much Fire.

Hiei- Hn.. So what is her name?


* Troiyoku watches Hiei reach a free hand over to lay on her head. His thumb caresses the aqua patch gently.


Troiyoku- The only word I heard was.. Gimei. (2)


* Hiei scowls a moment, then gently exchanges babies with Troi. Tanto growls with a bit of displeasure at losing his 'chew toy'. Hiei feels his jagan opening behind the ward and closes his true eyes. Troiyoku glances toward Coutaro, but they remain quiet. After several moments Hiei sighs and opens his eyes, closing the jagan. He half glances at Troiyoku then nods.


Hiei- Her name is Gimei.

Troiyoku- But..

Hiei- I know why.. But it is our secret.


* Hiei chuckles softly as he lifts the little girl to nuzzle her, feeding a little bit of his energy into her gently. When Troi sees the brief smile that touches his little girl's lips before she falls into a calm sleep he shrugs.


Troiyoku- You're her Father..

Hiei- Hn. I am.

Troiyoku- Then if you agree to it, that's her name.


* Hiei nods and lays the little girl back down on the futon beside Troiyoku. Tanto squirms around so that he can snuggle up with his sister. He raises his head to give a brief growl toward Hiei again before relaxing to join her in sleep.


Hiei- He's going to be very protective of his sister, Troyo.. Bear that in mind.


* Hiei gets distracted a moment on wondering if he would have been the same with Yukina if he'd been allowed to stay beside her. Then Hiei notices Troi look back down at his babies. He senses his mate's worry through their bond and touches his arm.


Hiei(Quietly)- Relax, Troyo.. It's nothing bad.. Maybe someday we'll explain her reason to you.. She's going to be a good-natured princess.. Get your rest, then when you're able to travel we'll get them up to the main cave. For now, I trust Coutaro to take good care of you but I won't be very far away.

Coutaro- Of course, sir.


* Troiyoku glances a smile toward Coutaro, then lays his head down as Hiei leaves. Habataro looks up at him.


Habataro- Congratulations again. I wish you many more, Master.


* Hiei stops, but doesn't respond.


Habataro- One would think that you're starting your own army.


* Hiei now focuses on Habataro, then shakes his head and leaves Kuma's hut. Hab scrunches his brows and follows.


Habataro- Sir? Is something wrong?


* Hiei stops to look toward Kumataro, who is seated not far away meditating.


Hiei- Hn.. I was wrong.

Habataro- Your Alpha Mate said the babies were both healthy..

Hiei- They are.. Tanto and Gimei are perfect.

Habataro- Nice names.. Then what's troubling you?


* Hiei half glances back up at the elder Lynx.


Hiei- Why must you always be so nosy?

Habataro- We can't help our genes.


* Hiei snorts and looks away.


Hiei- I'm not raising an army.. I have no need of an army.


* Habataro chuckles.


Habataro- Well now, I know that you're strong, Master, but..

Hiei- I have everything that I need right here.. I have no need of a territory, more power, or any such nonsense.


* Habataro tilts his head. Kumataro now looks toward them.


Kumataro- I sense no fear in you.

Hiei- Because my decision wasn't made out of fear.. It was made out of common sense.. From now on I only have two goals.. To be the best provider I can be for my pack.. and to take Matsua out.. Beyond that..

Habataro- Beyond that is your destiny.


* Hiei rounds to glare up at Habataro.


Hiei- From my viewpoint it's only the three of you.. and your woman.. that seems to think I have any kind of great future.. I do not.


* Hiei glances toward Kumataro.


Hiei- I won't endanger my pack by continuing down that path.

Kumataro- Then you do what you must.. We'll support your decision, sir.


* Habataro glances at his brother.


Habataro- Of course we will, but..

Kumataro- If he has doubts about his ability to unite this region then he shouldn't proceed.


* Hiei growls his irritation at Kuma's goading words.


Hiei- I will not bring another b---- in here that will harm.. or possibly kill my current Alpha Mate.. and her children.


* Hiei scowls at his last three words, then shakes his head adamantly as he turns and disappears. Habataro and Kumataro look at each other. With a sigh, Habataro shrugs.


Habataro- That's that then.

Kumataro- Maybe.. Perhaps a bit more patience is needed, brother.


* Habataro nods and moves off toward his own hut. Kumataro smirks as he returns to his meditation.

(1) Tanto- Is a japanese short dagger or blade.

(2) Gimei- Means 'A fake signature'.

I found a website that my old 'puter can handle to be able to get some japanese I can use for a few names. Feel free to speculate on why the little girl would call herself 'a fake', lol. I know Tanto is kinda weird, but it just seemed to fit this particular baby boy. So I went with it.
