Chapter one
"Why me?" Yusuke thought aloud to himself as he was beibg pulled into the resturant. Currently, Yusuke was being dragged along to a resturant for his birthday. Even though Yusuke said no, Kurama were on his doorstep justd as promised at seven.
"Because all you do is sit around and complain. Thats why." Kurama, who cast Yusuke a sweet grin while tightening his hold on his arm, replyed. "Usually people are happy on their birthday and don't want to be stuck in the house." Yusuke stared at Kurama in fastasnation as the fox cling to his arm.
After another tug at his arm, knowing Kurama wouldn't let go, Yusuke followed his frieds inside the resturant.
"Urameshi!" As the sound met his ears, Yusuke was met by the tall carrot top named Kuwabara. Kuwabara was tall wearing a Black, long sleeve button down shirt with a pair of simple jeans. Yusuke pulled his arm from Kurama's embarassed by how close they were standing. Whats up was all Yusuke had time to say before Kurama once more grabbed his arm and led him to the table where all his friends sat
"Hey Yusuke. Happy birthday." Everyone said in a mangled chorus. Yusuke looked around to meet everyones eye. Botan, Koenma(in teenage form of course)Yukina, Kuwubara, Kurama and Hiei.Then looked around to peek at his surroundins. The room the group settled into was fairly simple yet beautiful, painted a silk blue with red flowers. The room held five long tables all occupied by other people. Vases sat at the end ot each table with beautiful flowrs in them and soft chatter filled the room.
A waitor stood in front of them pulling Yusuke out of his daze. "Can I take order."
"Yes were ready." Yukina said. "Were going to have the stir fry special. We want three vegetable and one steak. Umm Kurama, Yusuke what type of stir do you want."
As Yusuke opened his mouth to order but was hushed by Kurama who had all ready decided.
"We'll both have the chicken." Kurama said not missing the look of disbelife Yusuke shot him.
As soon as the waitor left Yusuke was on. "Why did you order for me?"
"I was being nice."
Not wanting to make a scene Yusuke left it drop because for a unspoken reason Yusuke felt that Kurama had a higher reason.

Kurama was glad when dinner was over and he was walking Yusuke home.
"I can walk myself ya know."
Wanting to be left to his thoughts for what was to come, Kurama simply answered "I know." Kurama was thinnking about how ha would appoach the subject of his feelinga toward Yusuke. Kurama had loved Yusuke since he saved his life during the Dark T.But he could never express his feeling until now.
"Okay, spit it out whats wrong." Yusuke said when He and Kurama were sitting inside the living room.
Kurama was so stuned that his unreadable mask almost slipped. "I needed to talk to you."
"Is everything all right?" Yusuke asked letting the worry show on his face.
"Yes, but I want to talk to you about somthing different." Kurama really didn't know how to handle this situation. In the past Yusuke had been in love with Keiko, so Kurama could not express his feelings. Now that Keiko was dead as of three years, and him and Yusuke had gottn closer when Yusuke came to him for comfort,
Kurama thought he could finally tell Yusuke of his feelings.
"I'm listening man."
Kurama shifted forward Yusuke and spoke in a gentle tone. "I've been your friend for a long time right." At Yuske's nod Kurama continued. "But for me you have always been more than just a friend. Yusuke I've..."
Kurama was cut off bye a knock at the door.
"It's Yukina and Kuwubara probably she said she was going to come stay with me for my birthday." As Yusuke got up to open the door Kurama couldn't help but be anger at distanbance. He knew he could have told Yusuke, seduced Yusuke, then haad this insatetable desire in his chest and pants sated.
"Hey Kurama are you staying much longer." said Yukina coming from the door with Kuwubara and Yusuke trailing her.
"Actually I have to be taking my leave." Kurama them goodbye before turning to Yusuke and saying "I will see you tomorrow and we'll finish talking." With those words Kurama left with a new determination to have hia love known.
