Hiei's Harem: - Pt. 5 - Searching

Okay. Here's a nice long scene to kick off this installment of my series. Hmm, it seems, by the number of hits, that it's lost a lot of steam since the first part. I mean, from over two thousand hits to only around three hundred or so for the last? Is there a problem? Also, not as many reviews as there was. Did I offend some of you somehow? I certainly never meant to. If I did, let me know and I will publicly apologize.

Now, I'm keeping the same warnings on this sequel. Also, if you haven't read any of the others, you will need to to keep up with this story. Sorry. Originally, I had planned on this being one big, solid story.. but this one just has a life of its own on paper and is still growing. If you don't want to hear anymore about Hiei's Harem just say 'I'm A Celebrity, Get Me.. err.. sorry, never mind. (nervous laugh).

Anywho, here we go. For those of you who have been wondering, 'Where the heck is Kurama..?'


Scene 1 -------------- The Next Morning/Human World


* Kurama is tending to the garden that makes up most of his large backyard. When he senses the pair of familiar energy signatures approaching he closes his eyes a moment to clear his mind. He then glances toward the woven vine hammock that's gently swaying between a matched pair of young oak trees. The male in the hammock stretches languidly as he meets his green gaze.


Shishiwakamaru- What the h--- are they coming around here for?


* Just then Yusuke and Kuwabara come around the corner of Kurama's recently-purchased, large house.


Yusuke- We heard that, Pretty Boy.


* Kurama turns to face the newcomers.


Kurama- Yusuke, Kazuma.. Shishi just meant that it's a pleasant surprise to see you.


* The blue-haired Samurai stands and moves into the house, through the open patio door, grumbling.


Yusuke- Yeah! It was great to see you, too!


* Kurama sighs deeply and decides to return his attention back to the flower bush he was sharing his energy with.


Kurama- Don't antagonize my friends, Yusuke.

Yusuke- Friends.. right.


* Kuwabara jackslaps Yusuke.


Kuwabara- Behave and just get to the point, Urameshi.


* Kurama looks back toward them again. Mentally, he curses his curious Kitsune nature.


Kurama- Why don't we go inside? I'll have Touya make it more.. private for us.


* Kurama jerks his red head toward the privacy fence that seperates his yard from his neighbor's. The former detectives see the top of a hat a little closer to the fence than it should be. Yusuke raises his right hand with his index finger pointed.


Yusuke- I could..

Kurama- No. You won't.. Come.


* Kurama leads them inside. The human Kitsune closes the sliding glass door, then motions his guests toward the couch.


Kurama- Make yourselves comfortable. I'll be right back.


* Kurama looks at Shishi, who is now lounging sideways in one of the large armchairs flipping through a magazine, as he passes.


Kurama- Behave.


* Shishi just flips another page casually.


Shishi- Suck my cock, Fox.


* Yusuke rolls his eyes at Kuwabara, then they move to sit on the couch. Kurama just continues on his way toward the large archway that marks the exit of the large room, throwing a final comment toward Shishi.


Kurama- Later, perhaps.


* Yusuke struggles not to snicker. Kuwabara's face turns several shades of red. Shishi just smirks behind the magazine. Kurama goes down the short wide hallway and enters the kitchen at the end of it. He finds Touya bent over, rooting around in his opened refrigerator. The Ice master straightens up when Kurama approaches. He wraps his arms around Touya's middle and nuzzles one of his pointed ears.


Kurama- Hungry, Love?

Touya- No.. I was setting the d--- temperature lower.


* Kurama scowls.


Kurama- Again?

Touya- I think it's broken.


* Kurama shrugs.


Kurama- I'll see about getting another one later.. Could you put a pot of tea on and seal the house?

Touya- Yeah, yeah.


* He shuts the refrigerator and turns to look up at Kurama.


Touya- I felt 'em coming ten miles away.. What's up?


* Touya gives him a quick kiss then moves to get the teakettle out of a cabinet.


Kurama- I haven't found out yet.. But I feel that something's got them very.. worried.


* Kurama turns to leave again.


Kurama- I'd better not leave them in there with Shishi for too long.

Touya- Hai. He's an a-- when he's in heat.


* Kurama pauses at the doorway to glance back, thinks a moment, then leaves with a soft curse. Touya shakes his head, puts his ice barrier in the walls of the house, then continues making the tea. Kurama re-enters the livingroom to find Yusuke staring at Shishiwakamaru. Kuwabara is averting his eyes to study the walls as he feels the barrier course through them.


Shishi- It's no big secret, Urameshi.. Everyone in Demon World knows all about Toushins.


* Kurama goes over and takes the magazine from the Samurai.


Kurama- Upstairs. Now.


* Shishi glares up at the redhead a moment, then decides he'd best obey. Kurama turns to look toward his two guests as Shishi yanks the magazine back and heads for the stairs on the far side of the room.


Kurama- I apologize for Shishi.. It seems that he's in heat.


* Shishi pauses halfway up the stairs to yell toward the archway.


Shishi- You're dead, Ice dick!


* Kurama huffs and Shishi disappears on up the stairs as Touya yells from the kitchen.


Touya- Love you, too, Baby!


* Kuwabara looks at Kurama as the Kitsune sits down in the armchair.


Kuwabara- Now I see why you needed a bigger house.

Yusuke- I can see what you really need is to..

Kurama- Don't start again, Yusuke. Please.


* Before Yusuke can say anything else a blonde-haired demon comes down the stairs. His hair is all rumpled and the wrinkled pajama top, that's longer than the shorts he's wearing, is hanging open showing his muscular chest.


Suzuka- What's going on now?


* Suzuka rubs his head and yawns as he comes over, obviously just woke up.


Suzuka- I felt Touy's barrier go up..

Yusuke- D---, you got Rinku around here somewhere, too?

Suzuka- What the h--- are you two doing here?


* Touya enters with the tea tray.


Touya- Rinku's shacked up in Demon World with Chu.


* Yusuke and Kuwabara look at the Ice master as he places the tray on the coffee table.


Kuwabara- Are you serious?


* Suzuka bends to get a cup of tea.


Touya- Do I ever joke?


* The blonde hands the cup back to Kurama, then gets one for himself.


Suzuka- Would be nice if ya did once in a while.


* Suzuka shields his cup of tea with his free hand when Touya glares at him.


Suzuka- Don't you dare! It's the Cinnamon blend.

Kuwabara- Ooo, I love that one!


* Kurama looks at Yusuke as he settles back into the chair.


Kurama- Honestly, it's more like Chu has adopted the boy.. Now, you must have a good reason for coming or you wouldn't be here, Yusuke.


* Yusuke sighs and nods, waving the cup of tea Touya's handing him to Kuwabara.


Yusuke- Look, Kurama.. If you trust these guys.. I should've kept my mouth shut and my nose out of your business.

Kurama- You.. are apologizing?

Suzuka- D---, now I know there's a problem.

Touya- Is Demon World falling apart?


* Yusuke meets Kurama's eyes, ignoring Suzuka and Touya.


Yusuke- I can admit when I'm wrong.

Kuwabara- We're all still friends, aren't we, Kurama?


* Kurama studies the two, then glances toward the glass patio doors as if searching for someone.


Kurama- Where's Hiei?


* Yusuke glances at Kuwabara then drops his eyes.


Yusuke- I wish we knew.


* Kurama sets his tea aside on the endtable beside the armchair.


Kurama- What?

Kuwabara- You didn't see him at my birthday party either, did you..?

Kurama- No. But I really wasn't expecting him to be there for your.. I mean..

Yusuke- Earlier that day he beat me to Genkai's.. He was upset because I told him about Kuwa's plans concerning Yukina..

Kurama- An argument ensued, no doubt.


* Kurama half glances toward Kuwabara. Touya motions to his tea cup.


Touya- (Quietly) Is it too hot?


* Kurama gives a slight nod. Touya sticks one of his fingers in the cup as the three continue conversing.


Kuwabara- You can stop doing that.. I know about Hiei and Yukina now.

Suzuka- It's about time.

Touya- Indeed.

Kurama- Guys.

Kuwabara- You two knew, too?!

Shishi- All of Demon World knew! - You idiot!


* Kuwabara thumbs toward the stairs, scowling.


Kuwabara- I still hate that guy.

Touya- Forget him, he's in heat.

Shishi- Tell the whole f---in' world..!


* Kurama puts a hand on Touya's shoulder when he starts to stand.


Kurama- Needless to say, Hiei wasn't pleased..

Yusuke- He was just concerned about Yukina, you know.

Kuwabara- I get that. Okay? Now that I know why he was so.. upset..

Touya- Because you're a human male.

Kuwabara- Yeah.

Kurama- So that's why the two of you just decided to co-habitate?

Yusuke- Yeah. They're just like Keiko and me, now.

Suzuka- Poor girl.


* Kuwa and Yusuke both look up at Suzuka.


Kuwabara- Is he in heat, too?

Suzuka- I don't have heats, I just react to them.


* The blonde levels his eyes at Yusuke. Kuwabara glances between the two puzzled.


Kurama- Look, you came here to tell me something.


* Yusuke re-focuses back on Kurama.


Yusuke- Long story short, Yukina walked in on their.. discussion.. She promptly informed Hiei, rather harshly, that she wasn't so much of an idiot that she couldn't figure things out.

Suzuka- Oh, I wish I could've seen the look on that dark little demon's face.


* Kurama and Touya look up at the blonde.


Suzuka- What?

Kurama- Your hair is a mess, Suze.

Touya- And your shirt's wrinkled.


* Suzuka pales, glances downward, then looks over to the one wall of the livingoom where there's a large mirror. The blonde shrieks and disappears up the stairs.


Kurama- Don't touch Shishi!


* Kuwabara rolls his eyes and mumbles.


Kuwabara- (Mumbled) That guy is so gay.

Touya- No, actually he's bi.


* Yusuke growls.


Yusuke- D--- it!- Kurama, Yukina struck Hiei and told him to leave.


* Kurama looks up at Yusuke again.


Kurama- So she reacted as he always suspected that she..?

Kuwabara- Look, Yukina was upset, too.. She didn't yell at him because he's her brother.. She was angry because she thought he was being an a--.. Because I wanted to marry her.


* Kurama blinks at Kuwabara, then waves one of his hands to get their full attention.


Kurama- I'll ask again.. Where is Hiei?

Yusuke- When I explained to Yukina why Hiei really kept that to himself she asked me to go bring him back.. I gave it a couple days to see if he'd show back up..

Kurama- Mistake.

Yusuke- Thanks! I know that now!


* Kurama leans closer to Yusuke.


Kurama- Where - is - Hiei?!

Yusuke- I - have no - idea!


* Kurama hesitantly straightens up. Yusuke takes a deep breath to calm himself down.


Yusuke- When I went to Alaric Mukuro informed me that he made a quick stop there to.. tell her to shove herself and his.. titles.. into h---.


* Kurama closes his eyes.


Yusuke- Then he left..

Kurama- Have you asked Koenma..?

Yusuke- He says that he's seen Hiei, but he wasn't sure where he was.. He also said that he wasn't in a very.. sociable mood.


* Kurama blinks at Yusuke a couple times, then slowly shakes his head.


Kurama- No.. He lied to you, Yusuke.. Koenma knows Demon World like the back of his hand.

Yusuke- I thought so.. Then he told me that since Hiei's parole was over he really has no say in what he does.. As long as he stays in Demon World and doesn't start trouble in this one.


* Kurama glances up at Yusuke again.


Kurama- Yusuke, we have to find him.

Yusuke- I know.. I'm worried he'll revert back to his old ways.

Kuwabara- The shrimp's not crazy about me, but I still don't wanna have to deal with him in that state.. Ya know?

Touya- Especially not as powerful as he is now.

Kurama- Indeed.

Yusuke- Yeah. He could take out this whole city with that dragon.


* Yusuke looks at Kurama.


Yusuke- We came to ask if you would help us find him.

Kuwabara- I can't go to Demon World.. I'm not crazy about being away from Yukina for this long.. She's very upset.


* Kurama glances toward the stairs thoughtfully a moment.


Kurama- Give me the rest of today to.. take care of something.. Then we'll all meet you at Genkai's in the morning.


* Yusuke and Kuwabara stand.


Yusuke- Deal.


* Yusuke extends a hand toward Kurama.


Yusuke- Everything of our demon nature's aside.. we're friends, Kurama.


* Kurama stands and accepts the hand as Kuwabara looks between them, still not getting the tense vibes between the two alpha positioned males.


Kurama- More than that, Yusuke.. We're a team.


* Yusuke nods then he and Kuwabara leave. Kurama glances down at Touya then heads for the stairs.
