One Little Kiss

”There will be a test tomorrow so I want you all to study hard.” The teacher announced just as the bell rang.

The students started to file out of the classroom. It was the end of the day and they were all heading off in various directions. Some were heading home, some to work and some still to more questionable places best left unmentioned. Kiren just smiled. “I would love to stay for dinner.” *I would like to stay for more than just dinner. * He thought as those naughty images surfaced again. He buried them violently and laughed. “Besides, it might be my only chance for a meal not rich in charcoal.”

Suichi looked at him a little surprised. “So I take it your mother can not cook.”

Kiren laughed a little louder. “You got it.” He looked at Suichi with laughter still in his eyes. “Actually, neither of my parents can. I haven’t had a good meal since I got off the bottle and started eating real food. But mother works so hard to prepare the food for us that neither father nor I have the heart not to eat it.
