For the first time in ages Kuwabara was excited. He had run all the way from school back home. The previous night he had joined a chat board for those with a passion for the same sex. He still refused to admit to himself that he was gay. However he had received an email from another member on the site, what was his name... Kandirosepetals, wasn't it? He lived in Tokyo too, which was very good if they got on, as there was a chance that they could meet. He was one of the senior members on the board, and still looking for his 'someone special'. Slamming the door he ran upstairs and turned on his computer, bringing up the website and discovered a private message in his inbox.

Kuwabara sighed, he was so looking forward to speaking with him too. Instead he pulled up his emails and checked them. One unread message from Yusuke.

Oi, where are you? Don't you remember that we were supposed to be going out after school? Sheesh, you're turning more into a computer geek than Kurama is, and that is saying something... we are all waiting for you in the park... well Kurama is running late. He said that he had to get his hair trimmed... personally he should get his hair cut off. Get a move on!

After the afternoon ended, Kuwabara ran home once more. He needed to see if Kandirosepetals was on yet. Sure enough when he logged into the site, a instant message window popped up.


Kandirosepetals: Sorry I'm so late. I meant to be on sooner, but I was caught up in a prior engagement. I do hope that I didn't keep you waiting long.

Kuwabara took a moment to think of his reply.

Soldier_of_Love: No, I just got back on myself. My friends dragged me out for the afternoon. I hoped that I would get back on sooner. You intrigued me with your email. I have never been so intrigued in my life. Tell me more about yourself.

A moment later he go his reply.

Kandirosepetals: What is there to tell. I spent most of my life in private education, so I act much older than I actually am. My mother and stepfather are always very supportive of me, even when I decided that I didn't want to be a chemist and instead wanted to be a botanist. I am very green fingered, and most of my plants grow quicker than others. Do you like plants?

Soldier_Of_Love: You'd get on with one of my friends, named Shuichi. He loves his plants too. Sometimes I think he wants to breed a man-eater out of one of them.

Kandirosepetals: Really? Sounds like he has his work cut out for him if you ask me. lol I've never seen a man-eating plant though. Please tell him that if he ever accomplishes it to let me know. I'd love to see it. What do you like to do in your spare time?

Soldier_Of_Love: Well I take care of my pet cat, she's a real beauty. I also like spending time with my friends, well in small doses. Two really gets on my nerves, and the other one, my plant-loving friend, can be rather quiet.

Kandirosepetals: What are they like? Are you attracted to any of them?

Soldier_Of_Love: What kind of question is that? Well, I guess two is attractive in my eyes. However one is rather taken with the one friend that I really don't get on with, and the other is my plant-loving friend and I doubt that he knows anything about my attraction for him.

Kandirosepetals: I would tell him, at least that you liked other guys. That is if he hasn't guessed already. People often see the signs and ignore them. Trust me I should know. My own group of friends should have guessed that I'm *taps lip thoughtfully* batting for the other side, however two have become sexually engaged with each other and don't care. While the other one, the one I desire, seems to be oblivious to me. You remind me of him somehow.

Soldier_Of_Love: I do? That is indeed strange, as you seem to remind me somewhat of Shuichi too. You seem to have the same quiet mannerisms as he does. I never used to like that in anyone, but that all changed. I find it endearing now.

Kandirosepetals: Do you indeed? I will just have to make sure that I remain quiet and aloof just for you ;) Mother is calling, so I'm afraid that I have to go. I'll see you tomorrow night.

Soldier_Of_Love: Indeed, I can't wait until then. Take care my sweet Kandi.

Kandirosepetals: You too, my dear soldier.


Kurama signed off of the site and smiled. Finally he had found a guy that he really liked, a guy that was as similar to Kuwabara as he could get. They were both outcasts from their groups. Soldier_Of_Love seemed to be a delightful fellow indeed. Already he couldn't wait for the next night. He couldn't understand why, but there was such a big longing to meet him face to face. However that would have to wait. He needed to make sure that he would be well accepted, not just him, but his other half too. Youko needed to be accepted as part of his... package too. However a demon lover wasn't easy to accept, especially a kitsune one. They tended to be a little... possessive.

The next night Kurama logged on and immediately saw his 'partner' was on too. Grinning he started to type.

Kandirosepetals: Good evening, dear sir.

Soldier_Of_Love: Hello my sweet Kandi.

Kandirosepetals: My we are becoming familiar aren't we. ;) Not that I mind, I find it quite sweet. I'd like to get to know you better too, after all.


Kurama took a deep breath. He wondered about how his soldier would react to what he was going to write.


Kandirosepetals: Once I get to know you better, I want to take you out for a meal for two. Then once the meal is done, I want to take you home, where we shall have dessert.

Soldier_Of_Love: Why can't we have dessert there?

Kandirosepetals: Because, my dear Soldier, what I want for dessert you can't get there.

Soldier_Of_Love: Really? What is it that you want?


There was a pause in the writing.


Soldier_Of_Love: Oh... I think I understand now ;) I believe that we should have dessert at home if it is what you want. Chocolate or cream?


Kurama smirked with the agreeable words of the other person.


Kandirosepetals: Why have to choose? Nothing is stopping us from having anything we desire. I have a desire for chocolate ice cream. I love the taste of chocolate anyway, not that you could tell, I'm as thin as a rake.

Soldier_Of_Love: Then chocolate and cream it is. I am sure that you have very good taste too.

Kandirosepetals: Indeed I do, only the best for me, my friend. Everything I make when I am at home is home grown.

Soldier_Of_Love: Finicky eater are we, my dear?

Kandirosepetals: No, I just like to know where my food comes from. It also tastes better when I cook it. I may just have to show you sometime.

Soldier_Of_Love: Hold on, someone is ringing my mobile phone.


Kurama waited patiently for his soldier to return and when he did it was to impart an apology.


Soldier_Of_Love: I'm very sorry, I have to go there is a... crisis

Kandirosepetals: It's okay, I get them too. I shall talk to you later.


With that Kurama signed off, and just then his own mobile phone rang. "Hello... oh hello Yusuke... another mission... well tell me when we're all there... yes, I'm just leaving the house and I'll be at yours in a while. Just be patient." Kurama then started to run to Yusuke's, the Toushin had sounded rather desperate on the phone and the run would do him good. He knew that the others were likely to be there before him, he did live the furthest away after all.

It took exactly 10 minutes to get from his home to Yusuke's, and the Toushin was waiting for him. "Come in." He said allowing the kitsune entrance to his home. "Since we are all here, I'll tell you the deal. Koenma has spotted two large flashes of youki in the area, equivalent to an A-class apparition, however he also sensed that there was a hidden quality, possibly signifying that it was actually, an S-class. However that isn't the best bit. Another youki blast flared up shortly after. However this one was different. It was nowhere nearly as strong as the other and it came from out with the city." He looked between Kuwabara and Kurama and grinned. "Koenma wants the problem solved as soon as possible, so to accomplish that goal I think that we should separate into two groups. Hiei and myself shall take the possibly stronger of the demons; you pair take care of the other demon. Let one of us know when you have removed the threat." Both Kuwabara and Kurama nodded as Yusuke gave them the directions. "We shall see you later." With that the group went their separate ways.


Kuwabara and Kurama traveled in silence, both thinking about their online romance, unaware that their secret crush was the one walking next to them. "Uh, Kurama, have you any idea how long this will take?" Kuwabara asked, as he looked over at the kitsune. He saw the questioning look from the red head and he could feel his face redden. "I... uh... I'm seeing this girl, her name is Kandi." Kurama nodded and turned his attention back to the road in front of him. He could feel his heart aching in his chest. The pain felt much worse than anything before. He felt Youko snarling inside him, and had to force himself to remain calm.

"No, it shouldn't take long." Kurama said, trying not to respond to the jealous rage that was building up inside him. "You'll soon be home, don't worry about that." Suddenly both boys heard a roar from the trees and they faced the approaching demon. "Looks like you can get back to your girlfriend sooner than we thought." Kurama said, and Kuwabara couldn't help but feel that Kurama was angry about something.

Both of the Reikai Tantei drew forth their weapons, making the demon approach slower. It may be big and ugly, but it wasn’t stupid. It knew all about the kitsune-possessed human, however he was surprised that the Toushin and the fire apparition weren’t there also. “The Reikai sends a human and a weakling fox against me. Pity that I shall have to send you back to your master in pieces.” He pulled forth his own weapon, one that made Kurama gasp. It was the same weapon that Shigure had used in their fight. It was a Phosphorous Ring Sword.

“Take care, Kuwabara.” Kurama said, forgetting all enmity against the person that Kuwabara wanted. “That is a very dangerous weapon, A demon surgeon, the very one that implanted Hiei’s Jagan, used one of these. It will…” However Kuwabara wasn’t listening, he walked forward; his Jigen Tou flickered with its sickly green hue.

“I shall defeat you, alone. You cannot keep me from my Kandi’s side, for I am his soldier of love!” Kuwabara said loudly, not realizing his mistake, although Kurama picked up on it. His eyes widened in surprise. Surely he couldn’t be… There was only one way to find out, and that would have to wait until after the fight. He allowed his youki to flare, commanding the plants and trees to help them in their battle. He now had a very good reason to end the battle quickly. Placing a hand against the ground, Kurama ordered the plants around the other demon to grow. The attack left him in a vulnerable position, yet he knew that Kuwabara would make up for that.

Kuwabara, seeing the plant life starting to grow, grinned. He knew that Kurama was working his magic on them. He watched as the other demon tried to break the plants, but failing, and he took his chance, slicing downwards with his Jigen Tou, causing a rift between dimensions, trapping the demon. A moment later and the rift healed itself, sealing the demon forever between one world and the next. Kuwabara turned and faced Kurama. “We work well as a team, don’t we?” He asked as he approached the kitsune. Seeing no reaction from Kurama, he touched Kurama’s shoulder. “You okay, man?” A moment later and he was on his back, Kurama astride his hips. “Kurama?!”

“What’s the matter?” Kurama asked as Kuwabara struggled below him. “Maybe chocolate and cream will jog your memory.” He said waiting for Kuwabara’s reaction. “Come on, would I ever make man-eating plants? I already have demon-eating ones.” Kuwabara then went still as he processed the information. Only one person did he mention that he thought Kurama would try and make man-eating plants to was…

“Kandirosepetals.” Kuwabara said breathlessly. He now felt stupid, stupid but relieved too. Kurama knew about his feelings for him, and he knew how Kurama felt. “How long have you known?” Kurama released Kuwabara and moved to leave him, but Kuwabara’s strong hands held him where he was, feeling Kuwabara’s erection pressing against his ass. “Come on, you can tell me.”

“I suspected when you said that you were Kandi’s soldier of love, and said ‘he’ and not ‘she’. I confirmed my suspicions when I asked you about the chocolate and cream, and the plants. Kurama asked as he bared Kuwabara's erection to the cool air.

"I want to see you too." Kuwabara said, his hands roaming over Kurama's chest, towards the hem of the kitsune's shirt. It was obvious that Kurama would always be the dominant partner, but Kuwabara was certain that he would get what he wanted a lot of the time. Sighing Kurama knew that it was best that he allowed Kuwabara what he wanted, at least at the start. He knew that Youko didn't agree with him, however he was only grumbling rather than trying to assert his dominance over the situation. Kurama knew then that it wasn't just himself that wanted the tall human, but his other side desired his company too. Brushing Kuwabara's hands away from him, Kurama pulled the shirt over his head, baring his slim figure to Kuwabara's eyes.

Kuwabara couldn't help but watch as Kurama stripped for him, his eyes roaming over Kurama's toned muscles. He wasn't as muscular as the other members of the Tantei, however Kurama made up for the lack of physical musculature, with the inteligence that he possessed. Kurama could see the appreciation in Kuwabara's eyes. "See something you like?" He asked innocently, and Kuwabara pulled him down, administering a mind blowing kiss to the kitsune. Once released Kurama laughed. "I guess that was a yes." He said manoeuvering himself between Kuwabara's slightly parted legs. Pulling a seed from his hair, Kurama made it grow by feeding it his youki until it produced a bulbous growth. With a flick of his nail, the growth started ooxing a light, scented oil from it's scratched skin. Using the oil, Kurama slowly pressed one of the slickened digits into Kuwbara's tight ass, continually watching for signs of discomfort in the human below him.

Kuwabara forced himself to relax, remembering the conversation that he and Yusuke had once it became public that he and Hiei were more than just good friends and room mates. He had seen Yusuke's painful movements and had to ask what was wrong. Yusuke had given him a very detailed answer. The demon turned out to have been exactly what its energy levels said, and Yusuke having taken it out with a Shotgun blast. "Do that and I'll show you what I have seen." Needless to say it took a moment for the toushin to bare himself to the cool air, making Hiei growl in appreciation. Although Hiei had seen Yusuke naked many times, he was always impressed with what he saw, seeing Yusuke already trembling with anticipation. "Well, my love, it started like this..."


In the Reikai, Koenma wiped himself clean. "The setup worked." Koenma said to himself. "I can't choose which pair I prefer now... I guess I need more tapes of Kurama and Kuwabara to decide."
