A weekend vacation, it was small reward but one that Yusuke felt he had earned. Of course, the vacation was actually a mission in disguise. Koenma had sent Yusuke along with the rest of his team to a hot springs resort in the mountains. They were supposed to stop a pack of big scary demons that had been terrorizing the spa and surrounding town. But said demons turned out to be three very tiny, non-scary forest spirits playing practical jokes. The mission then became more of a lecture about why you should leave humans alone. Normally demons, or humans for that matter, don’t take kindly to lectures. But with Hiei standing over the much smaller demons waiting for an excuse to use his sword they were more than happy to listen, which made the lecture go smoothly. And the mission, what mission? The problem was solved in a matter of minutes.

The owner of the resort was so happy he insisted that his four heroes spend the weekend at no cost to them. Yusuke couldn’t possibly refuse the offer as well as a chance to avoid Koenma and his crazy missions for two days. He immediately accepted much to the delight of Kurama and the dismay of Kuwabara and Hiei. The detective couldn’t understand why Kuwabara and Hiei were upset, but at the same time he wasn’t going to let it ruin his well-earned weekend off.

At least that was the plan.

It was late Saturday afternoon and Yusuke was doing his best to enjoy his weekend. It should have been easy enough for him to do; after all, the owner had given the team the very best room. They had a spacious room complete with its own private hot springs and other amenities that under normal circumstances people would have paid handsomely for. The hot springs was large enough for the entire team to sit in comfortably. It was housed outside and surrounded by the forest the mischievous spirits had previously been haunting.

Currently everyone was in the hot spring taking advantage of its soothing hot waters. “This is nice.” Kurama turned his head to the right and looked at Yusuke. “Don’t you agree?”

The detective yawned, “It’s a little boring.”

“Yes, but the view is very lovely.” The fox gazed at his surroundings with admiring eyes. “Nothing but trees as far as the eye can see.”

“It’s nice if you’re into trees.”

Kurama looked across the still waters to the other side of the hot springs. His eyes narrowed in annoyance. “Now if we could only do something about the noise.”

Both Kurama and Yusuke thought their other two companions would have tired of arguing by now, but they were well into a pointless back and forth name calling session that showed no signs of ending.

“Stupid shrimp!”

“Ugly oaf!”

“Bossy runt!”

“Bothersome idiot!”

“I hate you!”

“As if I care!”

One hour! For one hour Yusuke had to listen to that. Here he was soaking in his own private hot springs at a fancy resort that he wasn’t paying for and he would have gladly given it all up for ten minutes of silence. He sank low in the hot water until it covered his ears. The bickering was really starting to bother him. He was used to their fights, but this one had been going on way too long. He could feel himself gritting his teeth as both the human’s and the demon’s voices rose even louder. This was supposed to be his vacation, his break from having to save the world from constant destruction and here it was being ruined. He rose up from the water with more force than was really necessary. His face was red with anger. “Shut up!”

Three pairs of eyes of varying colors gave the detective their undivided attention.

“I’m sick of listening to you two bitching! That’s all you do! So what if you hate each other! Go ahead, I don’t care, just be quiet about it!”

Kuwabara and Hiei remained silent for several moments after Yusuke’s outburst. He thought he had finally gotten through to them until he heard Kuwabara say, “You pissed Urameshi off Hiei. If you’d stop acting like a jerk he wouldn’t be so mad.”

“Don’t try blaming this on me human! You’re the one braying like a jackass.”

Yusuke tried to reign in his anger before it got the best of him. His fists were clutched, but he dug his fingernails into his palms to keep himself from going over to Kuwabara and Hiei and swinging wildly. “Don’t you two have ears?! Are you deaf?! You both can’t be that stupid!”

Kurama rose from his spot and placed a calming hand on the detective’s back. “I think what Yusuke is trying to say is that things would be a lot nicer if you two tried enjoying the hot springs instead of trying to put one another down.”

Kuwabara felt his face flush with guilt. He looked at Yusuke and Kurama and told them, “I’m sorry you guys.” He then turned to his nemesis. “How about we call a truce for a while?”

Hiei pretended not to hear the boy speak. He soon became aware that someone was staring at him. He didn’t need to look to know that Kurama was the one doing it. He also knew the constant green stare wouldn’t stop until he acknowledged Kuwabara. “Fine, I’ll accept your pathetic truce.”

The issue seemed to be settled for Yusuke and Kurama so they both sat down again. Kurama tried to maintain a cheerful conversation, but it was hard to do since he was the only one talking. He finally gave up and went back to looking at the trees.

Kuwabara began fanning his face. “This water sure is hot.”

“It’s supposed to be, that’s why they call it a hot springs,” Yusuke joked.

Hiei laughed at the two humans. “You call this hot? If anything it’s cold.” He began using his body heat to make the temperature rise steadily. Soon everybody in the water was sweating heavily except for him. “Now this is hot.”

Kuwabara despite his earlier complaints said, “This is nothing, I can handle it even hotter.”

The fire apparition said nothing, but proceeded to make the water even hotter. Yusuke stayed in a minute longer before getting out, Kurama soon followed him. They wrapped towels securely around their waists after getting out of the scalding water. Kuwabara tried to stay in, but he too had to get out. He shouted at his rival, “You little punk! You think you’re tough just cause you can boil water!”

Yusuke didn’t give Hiei time to respond to the insult, he already had one of his own prepared. “You guys are both assholes! Only you two could find a way to make a free vacation suck!”

“Thank you for ruining a perfectly good weekend,” Kurama added.

“If you two jerks want to act this way then stay outside and do it. Kurama and I are going inside,” the detective barked.

Kuwabara hastily wrapped his towel about him. “Hey wait for me, I’m comin’ too.”

Kurama held up his hand to stop the carrot-top. “No, you and Hiei are staying outside. You can come in when you both learn to treat each other civilly.”

“Hell has a better chance of freezing over,” Hiei snorted.

“Then you better get a jacket,” Yusuke said as he closed and locked the door on his feuding friends.

Hiei rose from his spot. “I’m leaving. I don’t see the point in wasting my time with the likes of you.”

Kuwabara sat on the rocky ledge surrounding the hot spring and dangled his feet in the water. “Go, it’s not like you’re gonna break my heart.”

The fire apparition walked sluggishly through the water towards Kuwabara. “You know you don’t mean that. You’d be very disappointed if I left now.”

The human glared down at the fire apparition. “Where did you get a stupid idea like that?”

“If I leave you’ll have no one to play with.”

Kuwabara reached out and ran his right hand through the demon’s thick black hair. “I think you would be the lonely one.”

Hiei made no attempt to remove the presuming hand. “Why is that?”

The teen smiled at the demon. “Do you know anybody else crazy enough to put up with you?”

The fire apparition was staring deeply into the blue eyes of Kuwabara while his hands were busy undoing the towel around the boy’s waist. “Keyword being crazy and you’re as crazy as they come.”

“I must be if I’m put up with that kind of talk.”

“I more than make up for it in other ways.” Hiei rubbed his hand along the inside of Kuwabara's thigh. The boy became alarmed and looked over towards their room. The curtain that covered the sliding glass door remained closed. Hiei reassured him, “Don’t worry, they aren’t watching us.”

The carrot-top still looked doubtful. “Are you sure?”

“If I say they aren’t, that means they aren’t.”

“In that case…” Kuwabara jumped into the water. He gathered Hiei in his arms and held him against his chest. “Let’s make the most of the time we have.”

Keeping his fire demon close, Kuwabara rested his back against the rocky ledge behind him. He slid down until he was sitting in a comfortable position with his lover on his lap. He closed his eyes and leaned towards the pink lips he knew better than his own. He pressed his mouth lightly to Hiei’s and gave the demon butterfly kisses. The delicate touches elicited the response he had hoped for. Hiei threw his arms around Kuwabara's neck and began kissing the boy back. He stuck his tongue inside his lover’s mouth, tasting every part of it like it was the first time all over again.

Kuwabara sighed contentedly as he broke of the stimulating kiss. “I’ve wanted to do that all day.”

Hiei slid off the young man’s lap and settled next to him in the water. “This should have been our weekend.”

The human stroked one of his boyfriend’s soft cheeks. “We’re together now and that should be all that matters.”

For the fire demon that statement wasn’t very comforting. “We have thirty minutes at the most before one of them comes looking for us. Compared to the weekend we had planned this is a poor substitute.”

“Thirty minutes is better than zero. Like I said, let’s make the most of our time.”

Kuwabara recaptured Hiei’s lips and kissed them with renewed vigor. When he finally pulled away he saw a look of satisfaction plastered on the apparition’s face. He was pleased that he was able to give Hiei such a feeling. His joy was quickly replaced with suspicion. He looked back over his shoulder towards their room. He couldn’t shake the feeling that at any moment Yusuke or Kurama would come out. Once he was convinced no one was there his attention went back to his boyfriend. “It took them forever to leave.”

Hiei nodded his head in agreement. “Some people just don’t know where they aren’t wanted.”

“We could tell them that we’re dating then we wouldn’t have to sneak around anymore.”

The demon quickly shot down the idea. “I can only imagine how those two would react. Especially Yusuke, we would never hear the end of it.”

“You’re probably right. I just wish we didn’t have to sneak around like this.”

“We’ll let them know soon enough, but right now I’m more concerned about other things.”

The carrot-top failed to notice the apparition’s lecherous countenance. “What’s that?”

Hiei leaned over and kissed Kuwabara’s soft lips. “These.” He gently nibbled the boy’s left earlobe. “That.” He slipped a hand down between his lover’s legs and squeezed his manhood. “This.”

Kuwabara moaned as he felt the small hand stroking him roughly. “How much time to do you think we have?”

“I’d say twenty minutes.” Hiei tightened his grip and increased his speed, “So make it quick.”

Kuwabara lifted his lover from the spot next to him and spun the tiny apparition around so that Hiei’s back was to him. His large hands gripped the demon’s slim hips possessively. Holding his red-eyed treasure tightly Kuwabara began lowering Hiei again, only this time he had the demon’s body aimed squarely at his manhood. When he felt the tip of his erection pressing against his lover’s opening he pulled down as hard as he could completing his entry in one harsh movement.

Hiei jerked forward at the rough entry, his claws dug into the sides of his boyfriend’s thighs undoubtedly drawing blood. He opened his mouth wide, but instead of screaming he moaned loudly. Kuwabara clamped his hand over Hiei’s mouth to keep him from making too much noise. The fire apparition licked the fingers covering his mouth then sucked them deep into his mouth one at a time. He swirled his hot tongue around the digits, pretending that they were really Kuwabara's shaft.

Hiei was sitting on Kuwabara's lap with his legs spread wide across the teen’s muscular legs and his lover was buried deep inside. The fire demon wouldn’t have things any other way, except he wanted to feel the thick erection moving in and out of him. Hiei tucked his feet around Kuwabara's calves, using them as an impromptu anchor. He leaned forward, placing his hands on the carrot-top’s knees. Once he was certain he would lose his balance the apparition began riding his lover.

Kuwabara reached around Hiei’s body with his right arm. His hand traced the contours of the apparition’s muscular chest and abdomen. His fingers stopped briefly to play with the soft curls surrounding Hiei’s prominent erection. He tugged at the head; each pull brought a groan from his demon lover. The teen slid his hand lower gripping the hard shaft and stroking its entirety.

Feeling his lover sensuously stroking him excited Hiei to no end. In his aroused state he proceeded to ride the teen below him even faster. He would lift his body up so that only the head of Kuwabara's manhood remained inside only to slam his body back down to the base. The little demon didn’t know how many times he did this all that mattered was sea of pleasure he was swimming in. He knew that Kuwabara was feeling the same way, because he heard the boy moaning.

Kuwabara tried to suppress the intense urge surging through his groin. His body begged for sweet release, but at the same time he wasn’t ready to stop enjoying Hiei’s heavenly body just yet. But the feeling was just too powerful to ignore. Kuwabara moved his hands back up to his boyfriend’s hips and held them with a firm grip. He used the buoyancy of the water as well as his own strength to slide the sexy demon’s supple body up and down his hardened shaft. The urge that had been building inside him was ready to be liberated. Kuwabara dug his fingers into Hiei’s hips and gave one final upward thrust. His hot seed coursed through his body exploding into the tight tunnel surrounding his erection. He bit down on the side of demon’s creamy neck, muffling most of his groans. Once his climax had passed the teen ceased his biting. He lovingly nuzzled his treasure’s neck and professed his love for the apparition.

Hiei leaned his head back, turning it to the side so he could capture Kuwabara's lips. The two shared a bruising kiss; their teeth could be heard clinking together several times. The demon felt a tightness building between his legs that yearned to be released. He had helped the teen reach his climax and now it was time for the boy to do the same for him. He told Kuwabara in a breathy voice, “Make me cum.”

Kuwabara renewed his stroking of the demon’s shaft. He moved his hand as fast he could, beating the engorged flesh underwater. While he did so Hiei used one of his free hands to fondle his sac, rhythmically squeezing and releasing his balls. With each passing second he found himself growing closer and closer to his imminent release. His mouth watered in anticipation of what was to come. He arched his back and moaned deeply. He felt several heavy squirts erupted from the tip of his swollen shaft into the water surrounding him. Once his tremendous climax was over he sagged heavily against Kuwabara's chest.

Several minutes had passed without Hiei speaking. Kuwabara would have been worried if he hadn’t seen the demon’s chest rising and falling. The carrot-top kissed his lover’s neck. “You okay, Shrimp?”

Hiei replied, “Of course I am, I just needed a little time to recover.”

The teen chuckled. “I didn’t know I was that good.”

Hiei once again got off Kuwabara's lap and settled next to the boy’s left side. However, this time he pulled one of the boy’s strong arms around his shoulders, nestling his small body against his lover’s bigger one. “It appears you finally found something you’re good at, it took you long enough.”

“You know what Hiei, I’m in such a good mood I’m gonna let that one slide.”

“How very generous of you.”

Kuwabara leaned down and placed a kiss on his secret boyfriend’s temple. “How much time do you think we have left?”

“No more than three minutes.”

The carrot-top tipped the fire apparition’s head back. He gazed into the crimson eyes that made his heart leap every time he looked into them. He began closing the distance him and the demon. “Just enough time for one more kiss.”

Kurama and Yusuke stood at the glass door watching Kuwabara and Hiei kiss. They were being very discreet. They barely had the curtain cracked, but even that would be a dead away give away for someone as keen as Hiei. If it weren’t for the fact that the apparition’s attention was currently occupied they surely would have been caught.

Yusuke told the fox, “I never would have believed it if I didn’t see it for myself.”

Kurama said, “Stranger things have happened.”

“Do you know how long this has been going on?”

“Approximately four months.”

The detective questioned, “Damn, how could I have missed this?”

“Don’t be so hard on yourself. It took me a while to notice that they were both using the same soap. Hiei probably takes showers at Kuwabara's apartment in attempt to wash the scent off of him. He should have realized I would notice that. Maybe he was too in love to think straight.”

“So every time they argue it’s so they can run us off?”

Kurama laughed. “You must admit it’s pretty clever, pretending to hate each other so that nobody will notice how much they really care for one another. However, I’m a little hurt. You’d think they’d trust us enough to tell us the truth. I’m tired of having them fight all the time just to keep some stupid secret.”

Yusuke looked over at the couple sitting in the hot spring. They had stopped kissing in favor of playing in the water. It looked like they were trying to drown one another. Hiei pushed Kuwabara's head down and held it under the water. When Hiei finally let the boy up he scooped the apparition up and held him in his arms. The pair shared a smile and a shared deep kiss. It was obvious to Yusuke that they both had strong feelings for one another. “There’s no hurry, they’ll tell us when they’re ready.”

The fox asked, “Should we go out there or wait for them to beg to be let in?”

“I think we’ll have to get them. They look too cozy to move.”

The detective made sure to open the door as hard as he could, so he could give pair outside enough of a warning. As he and Kurama walked to the hot spring they pretended not to notice Hiei’s sudden reappearance on the other side of the water. He stopped walking when he was standing behind Kuwabara. “Have you two kissed and made up?”

Hiei rolled his eyes skywards. He growled in annoyance, but otherwise remained silent. He left the burden of coming up with an excuse to Kuwabara. The carrot-top tilted his head back and looked up at his two friends. “You know he couldn’t stay mad at me, he loves me too much.”

Kurama played his expected role to perfection and said, “If you’re going to lie at least make it a believable one.”

Kuwabara looked across the water at his lover and gave him a conspiring wink. He thought for sure that their relationship was still a well-kept secret. “Can we come inside now? I’m tired of sitting in the water.”

The fox acted like he really had to think it over. “I suppose it’ll be all right. But if you two start arguing I won’t hesitate to lock you outside again.”

“As long as the twerp keeps his mouth shut, I’ll be good,” Kuwabara replied.

Hiei narrowed his eyes and told Kurama in a terse voice, “I’ll do whatever I please. You can’t scare me by threatening to lock me outside.”

Kurama shrugged his shoulders and sighed. “I suppose that’s the best I can hope for.” He asked his group of friends, “What should we do now?”

“I’m starving,” Yusuke announced. “Let’s go find something to eat. I saw this restaurant in town that might be good.”

Kuwabara and Hiei walked behind their two friends as they headed towards town. They shared a smile and briefly let their hands touch. Eventually they would let the others know about their secret love, but for the time being they were content to keep it to themselves.
