Conan: I didn’t really plan to post this up, but. . . . . . . . . . . . .
Hinote: I dared her too. ^___^
Conan: She was really bored. . . . .
Hinote: Unlike some of the other fanfics that we plan to post up, I’m not co-writing this one.
Conan: This is my first real fanfiction that I plan to actually finish. Hino-chan and I are working on another fic right now, but I liked this one and wanted to get it written down before I forgot. Plus, I plan to make this one a lot shorter (the other one is currently VERY long * glares at Hinote *). There is one thing (so far) that is Hinote’s idea. That will be mentioned at the bottom so it won’t be a spoiler (unless you decide to scroll to the bottom of the page). Please be nice with the reviews.
Hinote: Yeah, if you don’t have something nice to say, then make something up! ^_^
Conan: -_-’ Wouldn’t the truth be better?
Hinote: Depends. And since we share this account, I will delete all of the mean reviews for you!
Conan: What if I want to see what the flames say?
Hinote: Why would you want that? Most of the people here don’t care about a stranger’s feelings.
Conan: I can’t stop her when it’s too late, so if you see your review is deleted, then that’s because Hinote thinks that it was mean and deleted it. -_-‘
Hinote: Read and review! ^__^ Please be nice! * turns to Conan * Aren’t you kinda young to be writing this?
Conan: * Ignores Hinote * I wasn’t really in the writing mood, so it might be kinda crappy. Sorry, but Hinote keeps on rushing me. Writing isn’t my strong point either, so bare with me.
Hinote: Hey, don’t ignore me!

The bat demon wandered around in the woods, bored. He and Kurama, along with the others, were in Sengoku Jidai. They had only come there because they had stolen most of the jewels in the Makai, and the demons guarding them were way too weak. //Maybe things will be more challenging here. Damn, so far this place is really, really boring. And we’ve only been here four seven hours. (He sleep through about four of them)// He saw a group of five to six demons gathered around something. No, someone. //It’s not like me to save people, but kicking some ass will keep me occupied.// Then he noticed that the demons were pretty weak. //This will take, what, two seconds? Better than walking around in this place with nothing to do.//
He jumped onto a tree to see what was going on, only to find a girl about to get raped. Seeing that made his blood boil. A friend of his was raped before, so rapists bother him more than ever (before, he didn’t really pay attention to what was going on and would just walk away; this is when Kuronue becomes the hero ^_^) “Hey, leave her alone!” Kuronue jumped down, knowing that a fight was coming.
Mind your own business!” the one who seemed to be the leader shouted, before trying to punch the bat demon in the face. Kuronue easily dodged the fist, fighting back with his own. In less than a minute, he had beaten up all of the demons. //That was easier than I expected.// He looked over to the girl, who was putting on her now ripped kimono. She had dark navy hair (the only reason that Kuronue was able to tell that it wasn’t black was because of the sunlight) with silver highlights [1], and a very thin figure. //She’s human.// he thought to himself. He looked up at the sky to see the sun setting. //I should be heading back.// He looked back at the girl. She stood there, staring at the stranger nervously.
“Be on your way.” The girl was slightly startled, but hurried off in the opposite direction of where Kuronue came from, heading home. “Hmph.” On his way back to the campsite, he couldn’t stop thinking of her. There was just something about her. . . . . . . .
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Kuronue ate his dinner silently, while the others talked and laughed. //Why can’t I get her off of my mind?// He thought back to her body. //She’s really thin. Her face is kinda cute for a human, I’ll admit that.// His thoughts drifted to her breasts (My, what a pervert :P). “I’ve seen bigger,” he mumbled.
“Bigger what?”
“Huh? Iie, nandemo nai yo.”
“You’ve been pretty quiet, did something happen?” his best friend asked him.
“Not . . . . . . really.” Once again, his thoughts drifted back to that girl. //Damn it!// “I’m going to go buy some supplies.” Kuronue said, grabbing his bag and digging through it.
“At this time?”
“Yeah, you said that we were low on supplies.”
“But that can wait until morning, can’t it?”
“Don’t worry, I won’t be long! Ja ne!” With that, the youkai left. //Why do I feel like I have to see her again? She was near the village, so she probably lives there.//
He finally found the little pouch of coins by the time he had arrived at the village. He took out the coins and counted them. //Damn, only three gold pieces [2]. Wait a minute, I’m a bandit. . . . .I’ll just steal!// Kuronue mentally slapped himself for forgetting that (Hinote: How can you forget something like that? -_-‘) He looked up and saw a stand that various items on its table (A/N: The table is like one big wooden box). The was a little girl talking to the person in charge, so she was distracted. He saw that the side had too handles sticking out. //So that’s where it is.// He pulled on the handles, making a lot of noise, but he couldn’t get them open. He grabbed the girl’s wrist, turning her around, and was about to tell her to give him the money when he realized that it was the same girl as before. “It’s you. . . . . . . . .”
“Get your filthy hands off of her, demon!” A man in his late thirties pulled the two apart and threatened Kuronue with his knife. “What do you want with my daughter?!” He tried to stab Kuronue with the knife, but his daughter held his wrist and stopped him, surprising both men. “Run!” She stepped in front of Kuronue and held out her arms protectively. “Are you involved with him?” She averted his gaze. “Fine.” He walked into the house and came out with a bag (like that one that Sanosuke used when he went to Kyoto in Rurouni Kenshin). “Here.” He tossed her the bag and turned the other way. “You two will just cause trouble.” He mumbled. Holding onto her luggage, the girl looked down sadly.
“Why did you. . . . . . .” he stopped, trying to find the right word. “Why did you defend me?” She turned around to face him, but quickly looked down, blushing.
“Uh, I’m sorry about getting you kicked out. . . . .” he whispered. Even though he didn’t really know her, he felt really guilty. “Do you know anyone that you could stay with?” She shook her head. “If it’s okay with you . . . . . . . . . you can stay with me for a bit. If you feel that you can trust me, that is.” He had no idea why he was offering to let a stranger stay with him. He had a feeling that he needed to have her around. //Maybe I’m just going crazy.// He sighed. “Well, what do you say?” She shyly nodded.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
The two have been walking for fifteen minutes in silence. The stranger seemed comfortable around Kuronue, but she remained silent. Kuronue stopped walking when he reached the edge of the forest, causing the seventeen year old to bump into him.
“What’s your name?” he asked, turning to face her. She looked away, not giving him a response. “You can’t talk, can you?” She looked up at him surprised. /How did he know?/ “I can’t read minds or lips, so you’re going to have to find a different way to tell me.” She pointed up to the sky.
“Sora?” She shook her head, stilling pointing at the sky.
Kuronue thought for a moment. “Hoshi? Seiya?” Once again she shook her head. Since they weren’t standing in the same spot, the girl moved her finger hoping that it would help Kuronue. He stepped behind her and looked at what she was pointing at. It was the moon. “Engatsu?” She smiled, but shook her head once more. //I guess I was close.// “Tsuki?” She nodded happily.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
They had finally gotten out of the forest, but when Kuronue reached the campsite, it was empty. He took out his communicator (made of advance technology from the Makai). He put it up to his ear. Tsuki watched, waiting for him to say something.
“Uh-huh . . . . . . . . . .okay. . . . . . . .yeah. . . . . . . WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU LEFT WITHOUT ME?!?!?!”
“Well, Kurama was planning to wait for you, but we told him that you would be fine.” One of the other bandits told him. “We all decided last night that today was our last and that we would leave after dinner. Don’t you remember that?”
“No.”
“Oh wait, at that time. . . . . . . .opps.”
“Koji. . . . . . .” Kuronue was starting to get pissed.
“We’ll see you in a little while. Sayonara!” With that, that one named Koji quickly turned off the communicator.
“Damn you!!!!!!!” He sighed. No what? He turned to Tsuki, who was looking around the empty area. She walked forward a few steps, then grabbed the bat demon’s arm, trying to drag him forward. “What is it?” She pointed to something in the distance. He didn’t see anything. When they starting walking, he saw another village coming into veiw. “You want us to stay there?” Tsuki nodded happily. He looked up at the sky. //A few more hours until morning//
“Are you sure about this?” She started leading him toward a house straight ahead. She knocked and the door opened to reveal a sleepy redhead. [3]
“Huh? Oh hey Tsuki.” She rubbed sleep out of her eyes and looked up. Tsuki gave her a hopeful look. “Naze?” the other girl asked curiously. Tsuki’s hopeful look turned into one that said that it was important. “Fine, you can stay. Save the introductions for the morning. I have one guest room and one futon in that room,” she pointed to a door on the left. “Help yourselves.” She walked to the door (next to the guest room) and slid the shouji aside. “Oyasuminasai.”
“Is she a friend of yours?” Kuronue asked her. She responded by nodding sleepily. She held onto his arm for support. If she wasn’t standing, she would have fallen asleep. Kuronue sighed and picked her up, bridal style. Tsuki’s eyes snapped open and looked at him, surprised. “Well I can’t have you falling asleep while I just stand there.” The human’s face became flushed due to embarrassment. He couldn’t help but smile at how cute she looked.
~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~
Since there was only one futon/ bed, Kuronue had let Tsuki sleep there. He had been sitting against the wall four what seemed liked forever (which was only an hour and a half). He was tired but couldn’t fall asleep. He was used to lying down, but it felt awkward with Tsuki there. For some reason, he felt kind of uneasy.
A soft whimper made him turn to Tsuki. She was shaking and had a frightened look on her face. Kuronue walked over and brought the blanket from her waist to her chin hoping that would somehow make her feel better. Instead, she woke up. She looked at him with a sleepy look on her face.
“Sorry, did I wake you?” She shook her head, and looked at the demon questionably. “I couldn’t sleep.” He mumbled. “I guess I’m just not used to sleeping while sitting up.” The girl looked away, feeling guilty. “Don’t worry about it,” Kuronue told her, yawning. Tsuki looked over at the unused part of the futon. It could fit another person. She moved the blanket aside, and patted the empty spot next to her. Kuronue was surprised by this, but only smirked (dirty thoughts running through his head), which caused Tsuki to once again blush. “Arigatou.” He crawled under the blanket, falling asleep almost instantly.

Notes:
1) Unlike Yugi’s hair (from Yu-Gi-Oh), which stands out a lot, Tsuki’s highlights blend into her hair. Here are some pictures: http://groups.msn.com/YaoiYuriForever/bishoujo.msnw?action=ShowPhoto&PhotoID=882. I don’t know what anime that came from or anything like that. Sorry. By the way, the idea for Tsuki being mute is Hino-chan’s idea.

3) Another OC. Here’s a picture. It was done by the well known (if you’ve seen a lot of anime pictures, then you would probably recognize the style that she draws) Yukirin. Personality and junk done by Hinote and I. Picture ULR: http://www.mangapix.net/Frames/gallery/Yukirin/Yukirin40.jpg
Since Hinote keeps on bugging me about this, I’m gonna post it up now and reread it in the morning. I’ll make any needed changes and replace the chapter. Sorry, it’s short and not that good. Probably the worst fic you’ll ever read. Oyasuminasai. *Yawns*
