Chapter 1: The Strip Club
******
The dark haired man growled into the phone at the woman on the other end of the line.
“Don’t give me that tone, you make it seem like we were actually in love,” she snapped at her now ex-boyfriend.
“You know exactly why I’m so mad at you,” Hiei continued angrily at the bitch.
“It’s not my problem if you thought that we would get married. God, you make it seem as if we were in love. You can try to get your inheritance some other way. I have my own money, and I don’t care about your money. I have to go now, Raizen and I are off to the Bahamas.”
“Damn you, you fucking bitch,” he shouted at the dial tone. He was more than pissed, and no not because his girlfriend of five years just left him for the old geezer, but the fact that he was supposed to marry her to get his inheritance from his extremely rich idiot of an uncle
*****
“Hey, Hiei, how you been doing?” the slick haired man entered his boss’s larger office.
“Get out.”
“I guess not good. Well, Kuwabara and I are going out tonight, and I thought that you might want to join us. You need to get out and stop thinking about that hag that got away.”
“I don’t think so.”
“Why not?”
“I don’t want to.”
“Come on Hiei, just this once, and if you don’t have fun… you can… you can fire Kuwabara.”
“Hn,” Hiei smiled at that idea, “fine,” but he knew he couldn’t actually fire his brother in law.
“Great,” Yusuke laughed, “We’re going to a club tonight at eight, we’ll stop by and pick you up.”
“Tonight? But it’s Thursday,” Hiei growled, “You have work tomorrow.”
“It’ll be fine. Kuwabara and I go out all the time the night before work.”
“No wonder you come so close to getting fired every week.”
“Heh heh, see you later,” Hiei’s old ‘friend’ disappeared out the door in a puff of smoke.
*****
Another girl came by and tried to sit in Hiei’s lap, but Hiei pushed the blonde off of him. “Ow,” she pouted up at them, and walked off. He couldn’t believe that they’d convinced him to go, and even more incomprehensible was that he had actually gone in.
“Come on Hiei, you have to loosen up a little,” the tall raven haired man and his shorter boss sat at the bar looking over the crowded floor filled with men and some women looking over the strippers who were dancing on poles or in some people’s laps, waiting for money to be shoved in the scanty bra or panties.
“When you said club, I wasn’t expecting a strip club, and aren’t you two married?”
“We’re here for you, not us. Our wives already know.”
“Yukina knows I’m at a strip club?” his already large eyes almost doubled, and looked about ready to burst.
“Well, sort of, Kuwabara told her we’re going out to find you a new girlfriend,” Yusuke explained.
“Hn, and you expect me to fall for a stripper.”
“Come on, Hiei, Kuwabara and I are going to go find you a nice looking girl, and you have to deal with a love life eventually.”
“I’ll kill her, and then I’m going to torture the both of you until you pray for the day I let you die.”
“Just once, and we’ll leave okay? Kuwabara and I just want you to have some fun,” he laughed nervously. Sometimes it was just too hard to tell when he was joking, but Hiei doesn’t joke…
“Here she is,” Kuwabara shoved his way through the crowd with a tall, slim, scarlet haired beauty with large emerald eyes almost literally poured into a tight white, leather nurse costume following behind him. Hiei had to admit that the woman was the most gorgeous thing in the world.
“Hey there, sweetie,” a soft alto voice greeted.
Hiei swallowed hard. Not only had the girl’s looks already gotten to him, but the voice was smooth and so full of confidence that Hiei felt he lacked though he didn’t show it. He almost melted into a puddle.
“Come,” she offered a hand, and slowly closed it around the small rough one, and led him to a room far in the back.
“So that’s why he turned down all the girls,” the bartender noted.
“Yeah, his old girlfriend was a redhead, too, we thought that it might ease the pain a little.”
“Girlfriend? So, he’s not gay?”
“What are you talking about?”
“That was Kurama, he’s our best male stripper.”
“Oh, you have got to be kidding me.”
“Shit.”
“Sit,” the girl demanded, pushing Hiei into a comfy couch in one of the privacy room.
“Hn,” Hiei fell into the dark blue comfy chair easily.
“You don’t really want this, do you?” she asked was slowly swaying to the thumping music.
“No, not really.”
“Hm, why not?”
“Because this isn’t my kind of thing.”
“I can help you with that. What do you like?” she pulled her hair free of the loosely tied ponytail.
“Work,” he nearly gulped at the newly freed hair that spilled over the nurse’s shoulders.
“Okay, what do you like in your free time?”
“Swords.”
“Hm, kinky.”
“Not like that…” not that he knew where you were supposed to go with swords, “I’m a fighter.”
“Oh really?” the redhead took another step towards Hiei.
“I was in the wrestling team in high school as well as the kendo club,” Hiei carefully eyed the striper as she was now only an inch away.
“So, if this isn’t your thing, why exactly are you here?” she put a hand on his shoulder, and slowly sat down in Hiei’s lap, curling up close to him.
“My supposed friends dragged me here,” he growled, but allowed the girl to stay in his lap.
“Well, they’ve already paid for me, so why not enjoy it?” she took his hand and kissed it before dragging it down her body. Hiei was going to ask about her rather flat chest when a sweet tongue had pressed into his mouth.
“Angh,” he fought back as his hand settled on the nurse’s knee, and slowly crawled back up the pale muscled thigh. “Mm, no,” Hiei pulled away with a gasp.
“I’ve never been turned down before,” the girl stood up.
“Sorry,” Hiei stood up again, but his eyes fell on the bulge between the nurse’s legs, “Um… you’re… you’re a… guy?”
“You didn’t know?”
“-obviously not,” Hiei jumped away.
“I- I’m sorry,” he reached into his skirt and pulled out a few hundreds, “You might want to give this back to you friends.”
“Hn, they’re the idiots that paid you with out knowing your gender. You can keep it.”
“Mm, you’re the first to turn me down,” the redhead placed the money in his tight skirt, “Might I have the name of the honored man?”
“Hiei.”
“It was nice to meet you, Hiei, I am Kurama.”
“Hn, is that your real name?” he scoffed at the taller man… woman… man, right?
“…I left my real name behind me years ago.”
“Fine.”
“If you want, you can come back and talk to me,” he pulled a card from his shirt, “I’ll even give you a freebie.”
“Thanks,” Hiei growled taking the card and crumpling it up in his pocket before storming out into the crowded club.
“Are you stupid,” Hiei heard a man’s voice shout at the redhead he’d just left.
“What are you talking about?”
“Did you just try to give him back his money?”
“His friends didn’t know what they’d bought.”
“They still gave you the money, and then even after that you offer him a free session?”
“Ow, Karasu, let go of my hair that hurts.”
“You think you can get away with giving things out for free? You may be one of our best, Kurama, but you are not that good.”
“Please, Karasu, the customers are watching.”
“Damn whore,” the tall, skinny man with long black hair threw Kurama to the floor.
The redhead let out a steady breath as he sat pathetically on the dirty ground, his hair draping over his features, hiding the few tears that slipped.
Hiei felt sick to his stomach, how could anyone treat another person like that? How dare that disgusting man touch the redhead?
“Are you okay?”
“I- I’m fine… I thought that you had left.”
“Hn, it’s hard to miss that display.”
“That- that Karasu is quite the character,” he tried to laugh it off, but it ended in tears.
“Why are you here? You seem smarter than this.”
“Seem, I seem to be a lot of things, but I am nothing worth while.”
“I hate it when people put themselves down.”
“You may hate a lot of things, but that hatred will not keep me from doing those things.”
“Hn, you okay?” he helped the striper stand.
“I’m fine thank you, and that offer still stands if you ever want to talk,” Kurama straightened his skirt.
“I think you’re the one who needs someone to talk to.”
“Maybe, but I’m not the only one,” Kurama smirked.
“When do you get off?”
“I’m not allowed to say.”
“Why not?”
“Because then I’m off the clock, and I can do whatever I want for free.”
“Is that so bad?” Hiei raised an eyebrow.
“It is to Karasu. That means he’s not getting paid for the people enjoy my company,” after Hiei glared at him for a few second, “Fine, he’s not getting paid for people to touch me.”
“Hn.”
“What are you wondering about?”
Hiei looked taken aback, no one had ever been able to read him even that much, “Why are you in this job?”
“Because I have to.”
“No one has to do anything if they don’t want to.”
“And if there is something I want to do?” he slid a hand over the broad, muscled shoulder.
“Depends, and in this case…” he pulled away, “that’s a no.”
“Hmph,” Kurama pouted cutely before pulling his hair over his shoulder. “You need to loosen up a little. I could help you with that.”
“I told you I’m not into men.”
“You never really said that. Besides, I’m just talking about a massage, you’re really tense. Come on, Hiei, I’m still yours for the next half hour.”
“…” he did need a way to relax… “Fine,” and they went back into the private room.
“Lay down on your stomach,” Kurama commanded, pointing to the large blue couch.
“Hn,” Hiei huffed before feeling soft hands knead into his back, “mmm…”
“You like that?”
“Hm.”
“Good,” Kurama's warm breath tickled Hiei’s ear.
“Oh,” shivers shook the small body a little.
“I need to take off your shirt,” Kurama mumbled, nuzzling the cute ear before continuing to strip his ‘customer.’
“Wait,” he grabbed the smooth palm, “no.”
“I can’t get to you as well when you’re like this.”
“You mean dressed?”
“Basically.”
“I don’t think so.”
“It’d feel a lot better if you took your shirt off,” he pulled at the hem of the jacket.
“Stop, get off of me.”
“You’re enjoying this, get over it.”
“I don’t want to.”
“Why are you so unwilling to give into pleasure?”
“I don’t want to,” he repeated more sternly.
“You sound like a child,” Kurama continued his attack on the shorter man.
“I said stop.”
“You need to grow up,” the nurse growled managing to get the shirt off, and enjoyed the view of the well built customer.
“And you need to be a man.”
Kurama slid off of him quietly, “You can leave now.”
“Are you afraid to be a man?” he’d finally found the man’s weak point, and was going to take full advantage of it.
“I said you can leave,” his voice became dangerously low.
“Is it just easier for you to accept that you’re gay by pretending you’re a woman?” Hiei continued taunting him.
“Please go.”
“No, now that I want to stay you want to kick me out.”
“I’ve asked you nicely.”
“I guess I found your nerve. Were you beaten as a child because of it?”
“What does it matter to you? I’m nothing but a stripper. We should never have met.”
“I never said that.”
“You didn’t even want to be here. You wanted to leave, please go ahead and take your opportunity.”
Hiei stood straightening his jacket, “Do you work tomorrow?”
“I won’t be working for you.”
“I believe I will take you up on that free talk. Apparently I’m not the only one who needs it.”
