Wishes From The Heart (Revised)
Chapter One:
-Yukuso will be the name for Kurama's step-dad.-
Shiori walked into the kitchen, limping. Yukuso, her new husband, had beaten her again; but this time, he tried to break her leg because she wanted to go visit a sick friend. She went about making breakfast as her son, Suichi and her step-son, Shuichi, came downstairs.
"Ohayo, Okaasan." Suiichi walked over to his mother and hugged her while planting a kiss on her cheek.
"Ohayo, Suichi-chan. Did you sleep well?" Shiori kissed his cheek back.
"Hai." The fox answered, sitting at the table.
"Ohayo, Shiori-kaasan and Suichi-niisan." Shuichi smiled cheerfully, grabbing a piece of toast, and stuffing it into his mouth.
"Ohayo, Shuichi-chan." His step-mother replied.
Yukuso came down, fixing his tie, "Ohayo, minna."
"Ohayo, Tousan." Suichi and Shuichi said in unison as their (step-)father walked over to to Shiori. Shuichi's mouth was full of toast as he said it.
Yukuso kissed his wife, "What are we having?" He asked, holding he clsoe.
"Pancakes, toast, eggs, and sausage." Shiori flinched in pain as he crushed her brusied ribs.
Suichi's eyebrow rose up in confusion. He was the only one to notice his mother's pained expression. Yukuso's happy expression turned angry, "Make some coffee." He growled quietly, only she can hear, releasing her. He didn't see his step-son shooting daggers at him as he passed by.
"We ran out of coffee mix." Suichi's mother answered.
Before she could say anything else, Yukuso had backhanded her with full force, "You should've bought some yesterday, bitch."
Suichi tensed as a flood of anger rose. The red head growled, "Don't you dare hit her again!"
"What did you say, Suichi-san?" Yukuso turned to him, acting like as if anything had happened.
"Nothing!" Suichi growled again, getting up and walking over to his mother, "Okaasan."
"It's ok, Suichi-chan." Shiori whispered as Yukuso walked out.
"Um, I'm going to the park....Be back around 'noon." Shuichi nervously ran out with the last piece of toast.
"Okaasan, you can't allow him to hit you like this." Shuichi held his mother gently.
"It doesn't matter." Shiori answered, "I can stand it."
"I'm not letting him hit you again." The fox said in agner towards his step-father.
"You can't say anything to anyone, Suichi-chan. Onegai." His mother's hand ran through his long red hair.
The fox sighed, giving up, "Hai, I won't tell anyone, Okaasan. But if he does hit you gain, I will do something." At that, he walked out with anger still boiling inside of him.

"Um, I'm going to the park....Be back around 'noon." Shuichi nervously ran out with the last piece of toast.
"Okaasan, you can't allow him to hit you like this." Shuichi held his mother gently.
"It doesn't matter." Shiori answered, "I can stand it."
"I'm not letting him hit you again." The fox said in agner towards his step-father.
