LK: Sorry guys, this idea has been in my head since the ep where Kuwa was kidnapped. It wouldn't leave me alone! Besides... I've never, ever seen this couple before. And those of you who know me, know how I like to write about unusual couples.... So here we have a new story, when I should be working on my Hiei/Kuwa fic.
Yusuke: This is weird.
Kuwabara: Why does stuff always happen to me?
LK: *shrugs* I dunno.

Chapter One

Koenma looked up form his paper work, his gaze catching that of a much-worried Yusuke.
"I need you to talk to him." Yusuke announced.
Raising a brow in curiosity the demi-god leaned back in his comfy chair. "Talk to who?"
"To Kuwabara."
"Why?"
" 'Cause you're the only one who hasn't."
Again Koenma gave the human turned demon a puzzled look.
Yusuke sighed. "He hasn't been the same since we rescued him form Sensui. And he won't talk to anyone about it... Not even Yukina could get him to say anything."
A small alarm went off in the back of Koenma's mind. "What do you think Sensui did to him?"
"Probably made him watch chapter black, but that's the problem... we don't know what happened. He won't talk, even when Hiei and Shizuru threatened to beat it out of him."
"So what makes you think he'll talk to me?"
The detective rolled his eyes. "You're the one who hired the mad man. Maybe you'll get through to whatever Kuwabara is hiding."
The prince sighed, nodding in defeat. "I'll talk to him."
"Thanks Koenma."

He sat alone at the edge of a lake, the grass likely staining the seat of his jeans.
It was the weekend and when Genkai had invited him over for a quick getaway he practically jumped for it. He was even more relieved when the old woman had smiled at him and given him free reign over her property, promising not to bother him. Of course he had to leave her alone as well, but it was a price he didn't mind paying.
So now he sat, alone by a lake, enjoying the peace and quiet......
"Hello Kuwabara."
Or at least he had been...
Kuwabara groaned. He should have known better than to think he'd be left alone. They just wouldn't stop 'till they found out what had happened to him.
"Go away." The young man slouched down, drawing his knees to his chest and wrapping his arms around them. Trying to make himself appear smaller, hoping that the immortal would take the hint and leave him be.
Without answering at first, Koenma moved to sit beside the human, crossing his legs and allowing his hands to rest on his knees. They sat in silence for a few minutes before the ancient spoke.
"I suppose you know why I'm here." His voice was soft, and seemed to hold the weight of centuries, which in reality they did.
Kuwabara nodded, realizing that Koenma wasn't looking at him and answered. "Yeah."
"Everyone is worried about you Kuwabara. Especially Yusuke. He's the one who sent me here."
The red head sighed. "I'm fine."
"Really? No one else thinks so."
"Can we change the subject?"
"No."
Kuwabara sighed again, hiding his face in his knees.
"Did Sensui force you to watch Chapter Black?" Koenma asked, taking note of how the human twitched when Sensui's name was spoken.
The young man looked up, a look of shock on his face. "No! I never saw it!"
"Then what happened." The god-ling already had his suspicions, he just needed to hear it aloud.
"I just didn't like being kidnapped. It made me feel helpless."
Knowing that was only part of it Koenma sighed heavily. "I'm sorry."
A surprised cerulean gaze rose to meet a pair of apologetic golden orbs. "Why are you apologizing... You didn't do nothin'."
"Actually I take full responsibility for what happened. If I had never hired Sensui..."
"Don't blame yourself, you had no idea the guy would go nuts."
"No, but I could have had him locked up before someone else was hurt."
Kuwabara looked at the young immortal curiously. "What do you mean?"
Koenma raised his hand to cup the human's cheek, realizing his suspicions were correct when the other flinched at the gentle touch. "He raped you didn't he Kuwabara."
The boy's face reddened in shame, confirming what had been said.
Before Koenma could say another word Kuwabara jerked away from him and ran into the dark forest.
"I was afraid of this." The demi-god murmured to himself. "Damn you Sensui."
