Kurama's POV
I felt like my life was being drawn to an end. It felt pointless to love anyone. I knew that if I loved someone they would die long before I.
There is a rose that was not strong.
The bud was closed and its stem not long.
Then I met you. When I saw you I knew I could love again. It was a feeling I didn't know I could posses.
But then one day when you passed by,
You took this rose that was about to die.
I told you how I felt and was afraid you'd reject me. I cried when you said you felt the same. It felt like time was standing still just so we could enjoy the moment. I felt alive once again.
The love you gave, the gentle words you told,
allowed this flower to unfold.
Everyday was like paradise with you. You helped me to grow into the person I am today.
And now this rose has grown real strong.
The bud has bloomed the stem is long.
I know that I will always be happy in your arms. I also know that you would never leave me. You will always be there to protect me.
And this rose will always live.
From all the tender love you give.
If it were not for you I may not have been here today. Your spirit allowed me to love again. It is because of you I am thankful for love. You may not know how much you have done for me but I am still grateful.
I'll always thank you. Why? You see...
This fragile rose you took was me.
