Rando's Ending
~*~'A Change of Heart and Fate?'~*
~~~~Chapter one:
Boutan was easing back on her paddle as she flew back to the spirit world, the relentless Rando tied and bound along side her. Those light blue locks flew wildly behind the reaper as she neared the crossing over point. She smiled to herself and couldn’t wait until Yusuke was done with his new training. The reaper giggled remembering how the spirit detective was in an uproar about not going to the Tokyo dome to see the wrestling match she promised him front row tickets to.
"He'll get over it.. I'll bet he's already training, learning his new technique!" She spoke aloud after thinking to herself. Unbeknownst to the gentle girl, the feared spirit hunter was well away from unconsciousness. As a matter of fact, he had been so for a while since they left the battlefield. The immortal hunter thought to himself angrily.
'Damn that detective! That boy! And this stupid reaper! I will kill them all, they will satisfy my thirst for fear. I will squeezed them until theres nothing left but a shell! Dam that boy, my body is nearly immobile. Ugh, I can barely move. Ah! What in the seven hells am I going to do?! Hmm.. maybe if I go down there...' The hunter's eyes fell down onto the city below him, his eyes gleamed mischievously. Revenge simmered in his bones, summoning his last sliver of strength. With that glimmer of energy, he used another one of his stolen techniques.
Inside his mind, he recited another ancient tongued-chant. His tiny body, still small due to his backfired attack, glowed lightly. His gruff voice echoed in his mind.. 'Tibyeah, zatoosee,Malicashni... Aksana! Neggyuia alamena, satoue. Alemana, COPOUSHE!'
His deep, orange glazed eyes opened and an instant double appeared beside him. Every bruise, every little detail was exact, accept for the fact that it was a golem. The golem bowed before his master and telekinetically spoke to him. 'Master, what is thy whim? How shall I serve thee in your hour of need?'
Rando merely smirked through squinted eyes. His voice echoed back to the golem. 'Release me my servant, tie yourself back up in my place. Do it quickly you fool! And hurry! Make sure the Spirit Reaper doesn’t see or sense you. This is my last chance to escape..'
The golem bowed once more and raised its' hand. Long, thin, diamond sharp claws stretched out. With one, clean, inaudible swipe, the golem freed Rando. Boutan, meanwhile was happily steering towards the Spirit world. Her mind was no longer filled with Rando, making sure he was taken care of and thrown in jail. All was right in the girl's mind as she sped ever closer to the next realm.
Rando stood erectly, watching his golem tie itself up in his place. With a satisfied nod, Rando once again opened the link between himself and his creation. 'Listen up golem, you are to let yourself be dealt with in any way these fools see fit. Do not reveal what you are, pretend to be me the entire time. Do not attempt anything until I come back and relieve you of your duty. Got that?'
'Yes master, I will do nothing until thou hast’ returned for me. Nothing.' With a flash of unbreakable loyalty in the golem's eyes, Rando gave it a satisfied smirk and fell backwards off of the Reaper's paddle, down to the city below...
'I will have my revenge, all I need to do for now is rest and regain my powers... Maybe cause a bit of havoc before going after that boy and finishing him off. Even if that old hag taught him the technique, I will steal it from him before I kill him... Ha.. Yusuke, your death will bring me great joy...'
Down on the outskirts of a city not far away....
"Nai! But mother! I have to stay here?! FOR TWO MONTHS BY MYSELF?!" A young teenager whined lightly as her mother was heading out the door, many bags in hand.
"Aksana dear! Hush! Grandmother is very ill! You know she is in no condition to travel here and get well, I must go and help her through her sickness. You are old enough to be home for so long, besides, just invite a girlfriend to stay if you are lonely." Aksana's mother bent and kissed her forehead tenderly.
"You are a good girl, I know I can trust you to not get in trouble while I'm gone with Nanny?" She raised an eyebrow, half teasing her daughter as she turned to the door again.
"Yes, I suppose... But, so long?" Aksana's tone had softened and she leaned, crossing her arms, on the side of the door frame. The late noon's sun beat through the doorway as the last streaks were disappearing in the west, lovely tints of warm colors wove an enchanting look to their cozy little home outside of the city. A bright yellow taxi was parked down the driveway, the driver had come up and relieved Aksana's mother of her bags, placing them in the trunk. He now sat in the drivers' seat and waited patiently for his customer.
"Don’t worry, its summer! You'll be outside all day! You'll be online at night, dear child, you won’t even notice me missing!" Her mother roared with laughter as she walked down the path to the taxi. With one last look at her daughter, her eyes shone with love as she blew a kiss to her daughter.
"Goodbye dear! STAY OUT OF TROUBLE!!" Could be heard as the taxi pulled away from house, down the road, and away to her grandmother's.
"Two months! ALRIGHT!!!!" Aksana wiped off her upset face and jumped into the air happily.
"I have to call Natasha! She'll be thrilled!" Aksana was ecstatic as she walked around to the back of her yard. She padded softly over to the edge of a trail, leading into the wilderness behind her home. Sitting on a large, moss-covered boulder, Aksana sighed happily and lay back, folding her arms behind her head.
"Wow, two whole months! I cant wait until tommo-" she stopped abruptly as she heard a strange sound....
Meanwhile....
"Mipie akatue nastalie... makatu antennea... Halaku! MASHENTEA!!!" Rando shouted as he plummeted to the ground below, his aim had been off. He was about to crash into a thickett on the outskirts of the city. Now, he had just finished the enlarging spell, he was now rapidly changing back to his taller self. Too exaughsted to conceal his true form, he fell into a thicket birch trees, the sounds of his heavy body crashed noisily; branches snapping, twigs flying, leaves scattering.
"Argh!!!!" Rando's scream of pain could be heard as his body finally succumb to the effects of gravity, and hit the earth. Had he been a normal human, he would have died on impact. But, since Rando is no human, he received a horrible shoot of pain throughout his already worn body. A thin, but strong stick had penetrated through his leg. A large amount of searing hot, red blood began to ooze badly through the leg of his pants. A little piece of his torn flesh was speared on top of the branch, now covered with his blood, that moments ago had flowed through his veins.
"Ahhh! My leg! INSOLENT TREE!" Rando screamed in pain as he tried to dislodge his speared leg from the branch.
"Hello?!" Rando's screams ceased immediately, his attentions were on finding the source of the voice. "Hell-Oh my goodness?! Sir?! Oh my god... Are you.. Ah! Your leg.. Wh.. What happened?!" A young girl, around her seventeenth year, short waves of golden brown hair falling loosely to her shoulders, came down a foot worn forest path to his side. Large hazel eyes, sparkling like gems stared, full of concern, at the speared Rando. She was almost unearthly in her simplistic beauty, Rando took no notice of it due to his pain.
"Don’t touch me girl!" He snarled at her as her delicate hand reached out to attempt to help in some way.
"Ah.." She pulled her hand back, now that familiar look of fright glazed her concerned eyes. "Sir.. Please, you will be worse if I don’t help you! Your leg, oh my god.... Y.. You look like someone um." She stopped and sighed. "You look like someone ran you over with a truck! Look at those marks on your face! The horrid streaks across your chest and up your arms..." she drifted off. Her eyes were now inspecting his body, a faint blush crept across her fair skinned cheeks.
Rando could only smirk through half closed eyes. 'Hmm... Maybe I could use this girl to shelter me as I heal and regain my strength... Besides, she could keep amusing me with that delicious scent of fear, that look in her eyes just a moment ago. Bliss... to see fear in such innocence!' His tone turned from a snarl, to a slightly softer one.
"Girl, please excuse my outburst, the pain has caused me not to think clearly. Please, help me." He put on a fake face, he had had many years of practice. Such tactics had gained him much, he was awarded with his expected reaction; Understanding and pity.
Aksana snapped from her trance and nodded, with a watery smile she examined his leg. "This will hurt very badly so grit your teeth, once this is over, it all gets easier." She inhaled sharply, beginning to lift his leg up off of the branch. The sucking sound of the bloody flesh being pulled off of the branch was sickening. Aksana clenched her teeth as Rando tried to suppress a scream of pain. "Almost..." Her voice was wavering, she didn’t like causing this man pain, nor anyone.
Rando, faced with exaughstion, hunger, an aching body, and a searing pain shooting through his beaten body, finally succumb to the sensations pulsing throughout his body. The last thing those crystal orange eyes saw before the bliss of unconsciousness overcame him, was the girl, pulling his leg free of the branch.
