Scene 94 ------------------------------------------- Very Early The Next Morning

* When Hiei wakes up he finds himself loosely constricted by a pair of bare arms. He follows the one that he can see up to a familiar face. The Toushin is still sleeping contently, but Hiei works away from him easily without disturbing him much. Hiei turns to look back at Yusuke when he murmurs.


Yusuke- (Murmured) M'rning, Babe.


* Hiei pauses a moment as he wonders if Yusuke is referring to himself or Kurama. The koorime then shakes his head, realizing that it really doesn't matter now. Hiei throws a black silk yukata on that had been thrown over the footboard of the bed. Kurama's scent is on it heavily. Hiei can't help but breathe the scent in deeply as he leaves the room. He follows his senses across the hall and enters the nursery. He isn't surprised to find Tatsuya wide awake in the crib he slept in. When the boy sees Hiei he giggles happily and waves his arms for his Papa.


Hiei- Yeah, yeah.. I know what you're after, kid.. C'mere, my handsome, little dragon.


* Hiei pauses briefly to scowl at himself, then gathers Tatsuya up.


Hiei- I'm getting as bad as that fool Father of yours.


* The koorime half glances toward Kurama as he moves to sit in the rocking chair. Kurama leans in the doorway.


Kurama- You say that like it's a bad thing.


* Hiei doesn't answer as he begins to nurse his son.


Kurama- Is it?

Hiei- (Monotoned) Hn.


* Kurama rolls his eyes.


Kurama- You didn't complain much about him last night.


* After a moment, Hiei raises his red eyes to meet beautiful golden ones.


Hiei- You eavesdropped the whole night. Draw your own d--- conclusions, Fox.


* It startles Hiei a bit when the tall kitsune growls at him. But Hiei's own reaction of immediate timidness startles him even more. Kurama realizes what he's done so he turns and leaves. As Hiei finishes nursing Tatsuya he thinks deeply on the situation he's now in. 'Hn. I have never.. belonged anywhere.. Never been.. cared for..' Hiei looks back down at the tiny creature in his arms. Tatsuya has drifted back to sleep, still attached to Hiei's nipple, one tiny clawed hand balled against his bare chest. 'I've been through.. so much.. I'm too old to change.. much.. But I'm not too stupid.. to know that things have changed around me.. Children that I am so very proud of.. that I have no problem loving so.. freely..' The koorime works his son loose from his nipple gently, then lifts him carefully to kiss his forehead. For a couple moments Hiei just stares at his youngest son, 'You have something I never had, Tatsuya.. A Father that has accepted you.. That loves you and will..' Hiei scowls a moment, 'That will spoil you.. Hn..' Hiei looks up when Yusuke comes in, running a hand through his shaggier-than-usual long, brown hair.


Yusuke- That's called an epiphany.


* The Toushin yawns as he goes over to bend and kiss Tatsuya's forehead.


Hiei- What?

Yusuke- This moment of enlightenment you're having.. All these thoughts and.. feelings.

Hiei- Epiphany.

Yusuke- Yeah.

Hiei- Sounds like a contagious human disease.


* Yusuke yawns again, then straightens up and grins down at Hiei.


Yusuke- Close.. Everyone has one or two of them in their lifetime, I think.


* Hiei looks back down at Tatsuya, but he feels when Kurama comes back to the doorway. Yusuke glances between his two mates, then motions for the baby. Hiei nods and allows Yusuke to gather Tatsuya up. The baby barely stirs, but he does emit a purring growl that makes Hiei smirk. Yusuke smiles.


Yusuke- Yeah.. He's our son, alright.


* Yusuke plants another kiss on his son's head as he carries him back over to the crib. As Hiei watches Yusuke lay Tatsuya down carefully he realizes how calm he remains. A testament to how much he truly trusts his Alpha. Yusuke turns to smile at Hiei, then holds out a hand.


Yusuke- I want you to come here with me, Sparky.


* Obediently, Hiei moves to take the Toushin's hand. He goes along quietly as Yusuke moves to face Kurama. The koorime lowers his eyes as his two Alphas lock eyes a couple moments. Then Yusuke leans to catch the kitsune in a soft kiss. He takes one of Kurama's hands.


Yusuke- You, too, Foxy.. Come walk with me.


* Yusuke leads his two mates calmly back to his bedroom. He looks down when Hiei bulks at the doorway.


Yusuke- Don't make me pull rank on you, Shorty.


* Hiei reluctantly concedes, but puts the brakes on again when they reach the bed. When Yusuke sits on the edge he notices, also, that his first mate's tail is swaying a little stiffer than it normally does. Yusuke looks from one to the other and notices Hiei take a step backward.


Yusuke- Guys,.. you both know how much I.. detest this.. ranking s---..


* Both of them look at him ready to speak until he holds up a silencing hand.


Yusuke- I know, d--- it! I know.. But.. please.. isn't there some way that we can.. make this work? You both know what I want.


* Yusuke watches Hiei and Kurama hesitantly look at each other. After a couple moments of reading each other silently both nod. Kurama looks down at their Alpha again.


Kurama- Neutral ground.


* Yusuke tilts his head thoughtfully. He soon gets the idea.


Yusuke- Ahh..!

Kurama- Right.. This bedroom belongs to us, Love.. It it where we share our intimacy.

Yusuke- And the other room..

Kurama- Is Hiei's special place.. When he is here.

Hiei- Hn.. and, no, it does not mean that we are jealous of each other..

Kurama- Right.


* Yusuke lifts a hand to rub his chin thoughtfully.


Yusuke- Fine.. I won't mess with that.. But where could we consider..?


* Slowly Yusuke's lips curl into a devious smirk. He looks up at his two mates with a glint in his eyes.


Yusuke- I think I know.

Hiei- Hn.

Kurama- Obviously.


* Yusuke stands and blinks out of the room. Kurama and Hiei glance at each other, then give chase.
