Scene 90
Scene 90 ------------------------------------------- One Hour Later
* When Kurama wakes up from a short nap he checks on Yusuke through their bond. When he feels that his Alpha is still upset he calls out to him telepathically.
(#) Kurama- Yusuke?
(#) Yusuke- Have a nice nap, Babe?
* Kurama smiles softly.
(#) Kurama- Yes.. Would you like to come in and see your sons now?
* After a moment, Yusuke realizes what his mate is doing and sighs.
(#) Yusuke- Are you sure? It's kinda early..
(#) Kurama- I am sure.. I know you won't hurt them.
* Yusuke sits up, glances toward the den, then mentally shakes himself and goes over to its doorway. He peers in to see that Kurama is laying on his side in the circular nest, the kits are snuggled together in front of him. Yusuke stays put a moment to take in the scene, then he goes over and settles down beside the nest. Kurama reaches over the bordering pillows and Yusuke takes his hand to kiss it affectionately. The kitsune uses his tail to point out the kits as he introduces them quietly.
Kurama- (Quietly) This mottled black one is the eldest.. You named him Kenta,(1) right?
Yusuke- (Quietly) That was what we decided on, Babe.
* Kurama nods.
Kurama- (Quietly) These two black kits are nearly twins.. This one is Masaki (2).. This one is Takashi (3).. He has a trace of silver strands through his hair that's hard to see unless you really look.
* Yusuke nods proudly at Kurama.
Yusuke- I am pleased with them, 'Rama.. You do know that. Right?
Kurama- Of course I do.. I know you're just real upset about Hiei.. But trust me, things will work out.. You know Hiei's always been stubborn.
* The kits stir and move around to begin nuzzling at Kurama for their meal. Yusuke smiles.
Yusuke- You go ahead and take care of them, koi.. I'll be okay.
* Kurama nods as Yusuke leans to kiss him.
Kurama- Be a little more patient.. Hiei's never been one to turn away from challenges or his duty.. When Mukuro went it left him with both.. It was just bad timing, that's all.
Yusuke- Yeah.. Do you really think Yomi's as comfortable with all this as he sounded? I mean, you know that goat better than me.,.
Kurama- I don't think he has much choice but to be okay with it.. He's mated to Ryuji now. That makes him hiei's brother-in-law.. Right?
* Yusuke nods.
Kurama- And Hiei is mated to you.. so that makes Ryuji your brother-in-law..
* Yusuke tilts his head thoughtfully a couple moments, then looks at Kurama again.
Kurama- It's against Yomi's honor to attack any member of his own family.
Yusuke- O-kay..
* Kurama smiles at Yusuke.
Kurama- Demon World is as good as united now, Yusuke.
* Slowly Yusuke nods, wrapping his head around this new development. Kurama gives a growlly chuckle as he swipes at Yusuke playfully with his tail.
Kurama- Now, out so the kits can enjoy their meal.
Yusuke- Sure. Yell if you need anything.
* Yusuke moves to the doorway, then pauses and looks back.
Yusuke- I love you, Kurama.
Kurama- I adore you, Yusuke.
* Yusuke leaves and goes out to stand on his balcony, looking toward Alaric. He sends a message toward Hiei not really expecting any answer back since the koorime might be too far away.
(#) Yusuke- I love you, too, Sparky.
* Yusuke lowers his eyes, then jerks his head back up wide-eyed when he hears a very faint single word answer.
(#) Hiei- Hn.
* Yusuke takes a deep, shaky breath then senses a presence and looks toward the doorway.
Rozeme- Are we going to eat dinner today, Father?
* The Toushin goes over and scoops up his only daughter.
Yusuke- Sure.
Rozeme- Father?
Yusuke- Hm?
* Yusuke sits her up on his shoulder as they head toward the kitchen.
Rozeme- I'm still the only girl, huh?
Yusuke- 'Fraid so, Sweetie.
Rozeme- Good.
* Yusuke looks up at his red-haired daughter with a smirk.
Yusuke- You don't mind being the only girl?
Rozeme- No.. I like beating up all my brothers.
* Yusuke rolls his eyes..
Yusuke- (Mumbled) Shoulda named you Kazuma.
* The little girl looks down at him puzzled.
Rozeme- What?
Yusuke- Nothing, Rozie.. What do you want for dinner?
* They continue on into the kitchen discussing their food options.
