Scene 9 ------------------------------------------- Demon World
* After coming through the main portal from Spirit World, Hiei pauses to raise the ward from his jagan. Since he's concentrating on searching for either Yukina or Ryuji's signatures, it startles him a bit when he's gently nudged. Hiei sighs when he recognizes the aura. He closes his third eye but refuses to meet his interrupter's large brown eyes.
Hiei- I told you to return to your fox.
* Hiei starts to walk toward the west.
Yusuke- Do you really think I'm going to let you walk across Demon World smelling so.. delicious? You could get caught again..
Hiei- I am no longer in such a vulnerable condition, Urameshi.
* Hiei feels Yusuke's dominant energy spike a bit as the Toushin falls into step beside him. The diminutive fire demon half glances up at Yusuke.
Hiei- I will fry the next one that tries anything of that nature.. from the inside out.
Yusuke- Sounds like it'd be fun to watch.
* Hiei begins to walk faster. Yusuke adjusts his pace to keep up.
Hiei- Hn.. Then they would be an appetizer for my pet Dragon.
Yusuke- You know how to party, Shorty.
* Now Hiei pulls up to glare up at Yusuke. The Alpha Toushin's dominating aura spikes again. Hiei snarls as it irritates him.
Hiei- Do I need to remind you that I am an Alpha demon as well?!
* Hiei crouches when a near-feral grin darkens Yusuke's face, the Toushin's demon instincts obviously surfacing.
Yusuke- Do you need reminded that I know you've played on both sides?
* Hiei moves one foot backward some, staying on full alert as he growls.
Hiei- You would dare to attempt this?
* Yusuke calmly takes in a deep whiff of the koorime's scent. It spikes Yusuke's instincts a bit more, weakening his already-waning control.
Yusuke- Come on, Hiei.. This is me you're dealing with..
* Hiei keeps his eyes on the Toushin that begins to circle him predatorily. His long, dark hair begins to bleed white as his demon takes more control.
Yusuke- I've had you under me before.. Remember?
Hiei- You need to remember that I already have a mate!
* This statement makes Yusuke pause and struggle to regain his control. Hiei takes this opportunity to blink away. Unfortunately, this action only serves to trigger Yusuke's feral side even more.
Yusuke- Oh yeah.. I love a good chase.
* The Mazoku uses his own demonic speed and trailing ability to take off in pursuit of his 'prey'.
