Scene 84
Scene 84 ------------------------------------------- Yusuke's Livingroom
* Koenma steps out of his portal only a fraction of a moment before Yusuke charges in. The Toushin pauses and reins his anger in, though, when they both look toward the couch where Hokushin is now holding a sobbing Chiisai. Koenma calmly places himself in front of the den's entrance as he watches Yusuke go over to lean and touch Chiisai's back. The little boy looks up and Yusuke smiles.
Yusuke- Your Papa is going to be okay..
Chiisai- H-he is?
Yusuke- Yeah.
Chiisai- And.. th-the baby?
Yusuke- Strong as you are, Chi-boy.. Why don't you go give your brothers the good news.
* Immediately Chiisai sprouts his growing wings and heads toward the bedroom hallway. He pauses to turn back.
Chiisai- When can we see him?
Yusuke- As soon as he's rested.
* Chiisai nods and disappears into the hall. When they hear a loud groan come from the den Yusuke remembers why he'd come up and starts toward it. Koenma holds up a hand.
Koenma- We've been through this before, Yusuke. You know you can'y go in there.
* Yusuke pauses to lean against the simulated rock face of the den with one arm and rubs his forehead with the other.
Yusuke- (Quietly) I.. I know.. I.. just don't want him to think that I care for Hiei more than I..
(#) Kurama- Do you really.. think I'm that.. d---ed petty?! - I should come out.. there.. and kick your.. a-.. Ahh!!
* Koenma raises an eyebrow, then smirks at Hokushin when Yusuke backs away from the den quickly.
Yusuke- No..! Take it easy, Babe..! Calm down..
(#) Kurama- I'm.. having a baby.. Don't tell me.. what to do.. right now! Oww!!
* Yusuke sighs when he feels Kurama's pain briefly before the kitsune closes the connection. Koenma motions toward the coffee table where two folders are now laying where he'd ordered George to place them.
Koenma- You might as well come relax and name the first two.
* Yusuke solemnly lets Koenma take him over to sit on the couch between his two friends.
Yusuke- Two?
Koenma- It's up to you to make Hiei's baby's name official.. And so far the one of Kurama's that's been born.
* Yusuke picks the folders up. When he opens the one for Tatsuya he stares at it a moment. He then looks back at the Prince after a firm nod.
Yusuke- Maybe the mix-up wasn't really that bad of a thing.. When I held that baby I.. I felt the strength that he's inherited from both Hiei and I.. Tatsuya is going to be a real handful..
Koenma- Perhaps.. Are you going to tell Hiei who his sister will be raising?
* Another brief, thoughtful pause, then Yusuke shakes his head.
Yusuke- No.. I don't want him to know.. It might be too stressful on my koorime.
* Koenma nods.
Koenma- When I get back upstairs I'll be sure to seal little Kenkaku's records.
* Slowly Yusuke fills out the name blank for Hiei's baby. He then opens the second folder.
Yusuke- 'Rama and I have discussed names..
Koenma- Of course.. So?
* Yusuke writes his newest son's name down.
Yusuke- His name is now officially.. Kenta.
* Hokushin leans over as Yusuke gives the folder to Koenma.
Hokushin- Kenta?
Yusuke- It's a japanese name that means healthy and stout.
* Koenma nods.
Koenma- Well, he is that.
* The guys all look up when Botan enters. She smiles at them.
Botan- Yusuke, are you all going to be putting us through this every two years now?
* They all glance nervously toward the den when they hear Kurama scream from inside.
Kurama- H--- no!!
* Botan looks back toward the guys.
Botan- So.. Tea?
* All three guys nod emphatically. Botan hurries toward the kitchen.
