Scene 8
Better late than never. :oD

Scene 8 --------- Later That Night
* Hiei glances around at his subordinates to make sure that they’re all in their positions and alert. He smirks to himself when he sees that even Dagon and Kumataro are behaving themselves this night. Then he catches a movement among the pack. He watches Sylk easily in the light of the full moon as she quietly sneaks closer to Lily. At first Hiei is alarmed and quickly opens his jagan. But he relaxes back against the boulder when he determines that her only intentions are to get a look at the babies she abandoned. He feels the deep regret that stabs through the Pantheress, then he feels a bit of pride in his Kitsune when she raises her head immediately to look at Sylk. Lily remains alert, but they exchange no words. Sylk then backs away and turns to glance toward Hiei, knowing that his eyes are on her. She feels herself being drawn to him, recognizes the reason, and resignedly accepts the attraction. She keeps her pace calm and senuous, though, as she makes her way toward him. Hiei meets her eyes when she stops a couple feet from him, her thin black pelt shimmering in the moonlight of the rare cloudless night. He notices that it reflects perfectly in her sultry yellow eyes, also, making them glow.
Sylk- None of the spineless b------s in this region would attack you.. and live to tell about it.
* Hiei feels himself being drawn toward her as she speaks. He senses the change in her demeanor, but keeps his control.
Hiei- Hn.. But there’s idiots born here every day.
* Sylk glances around, her nose catches the scent of arousal that begins to spread out toward her.
Hiei- How’s your back?
* She narrows her eyes back at him. But Hiei notes that it’s more a part of her new tempting, teasing game than anger. She senses the true reasons for his question, his genuine concern, and his controlled interest.
Sylk- I’m not a weakling.
Hiei- I’d never make such an assumption.. Only a fool would say something like that about you.
* When he still makes no attempt to move toward her, Sylk begins to wonder if she’s maybe misunderstood his interest. She starts to turn away.
Hiei(Quietly)- I know what you did today.
* Sylk freezes. He finally takes the opportunity to move up closer to her now.
Hiei(Quietly)- Believe me,.. I’m more.. than willing to show you how much I..
* Because of the height difference Hiei can only manage to embrace one of her arms and give it a teasing nibble to show her that it’s actually no obstacle for him. Now it’s her turn to control her desire to place herself at her knees beneath him as he purrs the last couple words.
Hiei(Quietly)- Appreciate it.
* Her yellow eyes flare down at him.
Sylk(Hissed)- I didn’t do it to earn your.. attention.
Hiei- Then tell me.. Why did you do it?
* Sylk gives a quiet growl then turns in his embrace to face him fully.
Sylk(Quietly)- I did it.. because I wasn’t the idiot born on the day of my birth.
* Hiei raises his eyes slowly up the view that the low-cut yukata affords him to meet her eyes. He releases her when he feels her begin to squirm to get away from his grasp. But his instincts have already connected to the ‘dance’ she begins to display in her words and actions. He keeps his eyes locked on her body as she begins to move slowly around him.
Sylk- You love that Fire demoness.
* He calmly turns with her, watching every movement carefully. From her swaying tail to her calmly twitching, rounded ears.
Hiei- I take care of all that’s mine.. Now, that includes you.
* He takes a step toward her in a mock attempt to trap her when her back brushes against the boulder. But she leaps lithely away.
Sylk- She must never know.
Hiei- No matter what your reason was.. you conceded.
Sylk- You have trained her well, though.. I didn’t fake that back injury, though.
* Hiei smirks. He then blinks forward and gets ahold of her. The move surprises her long enough for him to pull her down so he can nuzzle her neck, close to where his mark still shows. He feels her tense up as soon when his tongue finds it.
Hiei- Now that I’m.. touching you.. I can release you.. If you still desire it.
* Sylk scrunches her brow at his sincere words.
Sylk- Do you seriously.. not feel what I.. truly desire?
* Hiei forces himself to pull back. For a couple moments, they just stare into each others’ eyes. He feels her gradually relax in his hands.
Hiei- Do you feel mine?
* Silence. Then Sylk purrs her acknowledgment. She’s surprised, yet again, when he releases her and steps back.
Hiei- There’s a couple other things I also desire.
* Sylk’s tail sways as she senses his own ‘dance’ being displayed. The show of his strength in being able to control his base desires.
Sylk- So.. you know how to play after all.. Then tell me.. What do you desire?
Hiei- I want you to show me your true power level.. and your true forms.. Both of them.
* Sylk’s tail freezes and she struggles to keep her jaw from dropping open.
Sylk- Y-you want me to.. flare? In front of you?
Hiei- Hn.
* Through the bond, she knows that he’s serious and glances around nervously toward the other calmly-observing males. She looks back at him and makes an attempt to distract him.
Sylk- My other.. two forms?
Hiei- Your full demon form.. and your more Human one.
* Sylk catches the glint of one of his fangs when he smirks.
Hiei- Show me yours and I’ll show you mine.
* Sylk matches his smirk as her tail begins to sway again.
Sylk- You like playing, so how about a deal, Little Man?
Hiei- I’m game, Cat.
* Sylk can’t help but purr with amusement.
Sylk- If you can catch me.. in my true form.. I’ll show you.. everything you desire.
* Hiei nods with a growlly purr of his own. He holds up one of his hands to show her three fingers. When he folds the third one down Sylk catches on and moves back. He pauses the countdown as he watches her shift down into her full black Panther form. Her yellow eyes meet his briefly over her sleek, black-purple shoulder, then she slinks off into the nearby thick stand of trees. Hiei folds a second finger down then glances around at his subordinates again. Habataro, Minoro, Dagon, and Coutaro all give him various encouragments to go after her. Then he meets Kumataro’s eyes. The Lynx understands the silent message and nods. He moves to take over the abandoned boulder when his Alpha disappears, quietly spreading a barrier out around the pack. He glances toward Habataro who gives his nod of approval, but remains alert. The other guard males takes the Elder’s hint and give their attentions back to their job, also.
