Scene 8 -------------- The Plant Barrier
* When Hiei passes through it he senses Minoro not too far away and goes toward him. He finds the Hyena male near the natural tree alcove, that serves as his home, preparing a pot of stew over a small fire. Minoro glances up as Hiei comes over.
Hiei- Minoro.
Minoro- Master.
Hiei- You know, with that village and the cat's barrier in place you no longer need to stay here.
Minoro- Hai. I know.
* Minoro continues stirring his stew. Hiei studies the younger male a moment then looks away.
Hiei- Whatever. Live wherever you please.
* The Koorime takes a few steps away, then stops. He turns to look back at Minoro.
Hiei- Why do you think they dislike you?
* Minoro freezes a moment, then sighs, and looks up when Hiei comes back over beside him.
Minoro- Don't worry about me.. You know I go through these..
Hiei- And I told you to put those kinds of thoughts behind you.
* Minoro looks down at his bubbling stew.
Minoro- Well, you can't control my mind.
Hiei- Is that a challenge, Boy?
* Minoro looks back up at Hiei quickly. His fear is quite apparent to the apparition. Hiei waves a hand dismissively then moves to sit on the other side of the pot facing the Hyena. He leans to stick a finger into the stew. Minoro quickly lowers his eyes when Hiei slowly licks the stew off his finger.
Hiei- Not bad.. Got enough for two?
* Minoro hesitantly shakes his head.
Minoro- No.. But you're welcome to have that. You must be hungry after rolling with that cat all day.
* Hiei raises his eyes to look at Minoro and smirks.
Hiei- Are you jealous?
Minoro- Not at all. You're the Alpha. You can do whatever you want with whoever you want.
* Hiei stands.
Hiei- When your.. bout.. is over return to the Main camp.
Minoro- Have I offended you, Sir?
Hiei- The truth never offends me, Hyena.
* In a blur Hiei disappears. Minoro shrugs and takes the pot off of the fire carefully to pour the contents into his large stone bowl.
