Life Goes On

There you are, Thoth!! I thought I'd lost you!! I understand completely about bad 'net connections. When it rains here I lose connection or it really slows down. As far as the Hiei torture goes, you haven't seen nothing yet, lol. Yes, I really do love the little character but you know you always hurt the ones you love. But seriously, everything in my stories have a purpose. You should know that by now. There will be some racy, perhaps twisted (?) scenes in this story, but I'm not going to give anything away. You've all already been warned plenty enough to know to expect just about anything.

Please, review but don't burn me about my writing style or personal policies. None of that will change, so don't waste valuable review space. :o)

Scene 8 ------------------------------------------- Koenma's Office

* Koenma and Yusuke watch Hiei as the footage plays. As usual, the dark koorime shows very little emotion other than the angry huff when the rogues chase Yukina and his grandson out of the park. When the screen goes black Hiei crosses his arms but keeps his expression blank. In his mind, however, many questions rage about what he's just witnessed.


Koenma- Can you confirm that one of that group is your brother Ryuji?

Hiei- Hn.

Yusuke- Do you recognize any of the others?

Hiei- Hn.

Koenma- Hiei?

Hiei- No, d--- it!


* Hiei starts toward the large doors.


Yusuke- Hey..?

Hiei- I have something to do.

Yusuke- If you're going after Ryuji..

Hiei- It won't be anymore of your concern.. Either of you.

Koenma- Why would they go after Yukina?


* Hiei stops, hesitates, then snatches the remote from the Toddler quicker than he can suckle his pacifier. Hiei then rewinds the footage until he pauses it on a clear shot of the group's leader, Kurai.


Hiei- Detective, what does this b------ look like to you?

Yusuke- You mean besides creepy?

Hiei- Hn.


* Yusuke comes over to study the demon, half noticing when hiei takes a deep discreet whiff of his scent.


Yusuke- Well, a friggin vampire, for one thing.

Hiei- Yes.. See the slightly red tinge to his black hair? The hint of.. sharp fangs showing beneath his.. full lips... The red streak down his strong.. muscular.. chest...


* Koenma rolls his eyes. Yusuke tilts his head to look down at Hiei. The koorime shakes himself with an agitated growl.


Hiei- This demon is a Blood demon.


* Hiei turns to move away from the slight scent the Yusuke begins to give off.


Koenma- Oh.. Bloods are nasty to deal with.

Hiei- Hn.. They control weaker-minded demons that they feast on.

Yusuke- So this creep has caught your brother..?

Hiei- No.. Your comprehension skills leave much to be desired, Detective.. I said they control weak-minded demons.. Ryuji is far from that.

Koenma- So Ryuji is with that demon willingly?


* Hiei hesitates, 'The godling has no idea how close he is to the truth'. Finally Hiei decides to just ignore the question. He starts toward the doors again after returning the remote to Koenma.


Yusuke- Hiei, I should come..

Hiei- No. You should return to your heated fox.. I will deal with this situation my brother is in.

Yusuke- Kurama's just starting his cycle.. Same as you..


* Hiei freezes, but keeps his back to Yusuke.


Yusuke- Kurama says it's because that stuff Satjiyu gave both of you screwed up your cycles.. But we have about a week before you both go into your High Heats...


* Hiei glances over his shoulder at Yusuke, then blurs away.


Yusuke- Hey, wait up, Shorty!!


* Koenma's nose now catches Hiei's faint scent in the breeze thier disappearance causes.


Koenma- Well, that should be one interesting mission.. If Yusuke can catch up to him.


* The Koenma's daydreaming about the next batch of little terrors that will be created when he remembers about Shishiwakamaru. With a mental curse Koenma shakes his head and gets back to his paperwork.
