Not Again...

Chapter 8: Not Again…

*****

“See? I told you they were a couple.”

The two snapped away from one another, to face where the voices were coming from.

“Be quiet, I think they heard you.”

“Uh-oh.”

“What should we do?”

“I don’t know.”

“Get out here,” Kurama commanded in his most stern voice, his face feeling like it was on fire.

“Um, hi sensei,” it was the three girls that had come over the night for studying, all of them looking embarrassed and nervous.

“Hiei? Do you think you could…?”

“I wouldn’t know what to change, and it takes a lot of ki to change memories, I’m still exhausted from the battles.”

“So, what should we do?”

Hiei shrugged, “You’re the teacher.”

“Okay,” he turned his full attention back to the trio in front of him, “You caught us. Hiei and I are in love.”

“Great idea,” the shorter boy said sarcastically, crossing his arms over his chest.

“Really? Love?” the raven haired girl asked.

“Yeah, problem?” Hiei narrowed his eyes.

“N-no,” she stammered, frightened that the boy would try to kill her, like the rumors said he did quite often, which oddly enough weren’t too far from the truth. “We… It’s just that… we thought…”

“We thought that this was more of a weird lust thing,” streaks finished.

“Nope,” Kurama wrapped his arms around Hiei once again, turning on his charm to full blast, “Hiei and I are truly in love, right, baby?” he nuzzled in to Hiei’s ear.

“If you think that I’m going to kiss you in front of these girls you’re dead wrong,” Hiei growled.

“Aw, forbidden love, it’s so romantic!” all the girls cheered.

“You two are so cute together,” the brunette giggled.

“So, you won’t tell anyone?” Hiei snarled.

“No way, uh-uh.”

“Great, so this will be a secret between just us, right,” Kurama put a finger to his lips, and gave the girls a little wink.

All of them nodded.

“Excellent, thank you girls so much,” Kurama hugged Hiei tightly just for show, “Isn’t this great, Baby?”

“I’m still not kissing you,” but wrapped his arm around Kurama's waist, reclining a bit on to his fox.

“They are so cute,” the girls ran off giggling.

“That seemed too easy,” Kurama thought aloud.

Hiei shrugged again, “Humans are stupid,” he pulled the red head down for another kiss now that they were alone.

Kurama pulled away from the kiss quickly, “Please stop saying that, Koi. I’ve been living with humans as humans for 25 years now, and I’ve come to understand them… for the most part.”

“Why have you stayed here for so long? Can’t you go back to the Makai in your real body?”

“I like it here, Hiei,” Kurama leaned on the small frame of his lover, “Everything came to me way too easily when I was a Youko, but I was still alone technically. But, here, I have a mother who loves me. I’m respected for my personality not my ability to steal or my way in the sack. I learned to love while I was here… I can’t sleep around like I used to. I thought you would like that little factor.”

“Mm-hm, that’s very good, because if you did… I’d have to kill you,” Hiei stated, seriously, grasping at Kurama possessively.

“That goes for you too, Koibito,” Kurama reciprocated the threat, burying his nose in the spiky hair again.

“Don’t call me that.”

“Yes,” he bowed his head submissively, “Of course my lord.”

“Stop that,” Hiei tightened his grip around his fox’s waist.

“But, my lord,” Kurama laughed when Hiei threw them both to the ground, and straddled his hips, holding his hands over his head. “Okay, okay, I’m sorry, I’m sorry,” he laughed. When they calmed a little, Kurama sat up and placed a kiss on Hiei’s button nose, and then pressed their lips together, harshly, slipping his tongue into the small mouth, letting his tongue run over and between Hiei’s sharp teeth. When Hiei didn’t respond to the kiss, Kurama leaned back to see if there was something wrong with his little fire demon laying on top of him.

Hiei blinked down at his lover, “I’m hungry.”

It was early evening when the two men arrived home with a bag of Chinese food, and spread out a blanket like a picnic inside with Chinese food.

Sprawled across the blanket, Kurama started asking, “What kind of youkai are you any way?”

“I thought you knew.”

“Um, truthfully, I didn’t really know… I just guessed… I don’t really know too much about the infamous ‘forbidden child.’”

“Hn,” Hiei put down his carton of orange chicken, and looked Kurama in the eye, “I’m forbidden because I was created of two opposing elements; fire and ice.”

“How is that possible?”

“My mother was an ice maiden, a koorime.”

“I figured that out,” he fingered his pendant.

“My father was a hiyoukai.”

“Wait… ice maidens never leave their island…how did…”

“My mother was what you would call a black sheep. She liked to travel, and one day went out to see the world. She was nothing like the rest, she didn’t think that all other demons were repulsive or ‘unclean.’ On one of her outings she met a gang of thieves, but was saved by my father.”

“Hmm, I bet you look just like him,” Kurama smiled, laying on his stomach, loving the sound of Hiei’s voice.

“Yeah, that’s what I’ve heard from the few fire demons that didn’t turn me away out of disgust… but he was taller, and much more muscular…”

“How did they die?”

“When the other ice maidens found out about Hina, my mother’s pregnancy, they had my father killed… Truthfully, I never learned his name… but after she gave birth, the demons killed her, too, and tossed us off the island.”

“That’s a romantic story,” green eyes focused intently on the half breed, soaking up every word.

Hiei just shrugged, stuffing more of the food into his mouth, chewing on it thoughtfully.

“Wait, did you say, that they tossed ‘us off the island’?”

Hiei chocked on his food a little at his slip of the tongue.

“Wait, ice maidens always give birth to girls… Hiei, do you have a twin sister?”

“…”

“Hiei?”

“…”

“Sorry, you don’t want to talk about it… That’s okay.”

Hiei shrugged again, “What about you? What about your demon parents?”

“Both of my parents were Youko. It was just a one night stand, I’m guessing, because I don’t remember my father or any mentioning of him at all. And my mother left me after I was born, or I left her… I don’t really remember all that well,” Kurama laughed, “I think I’m getting old. Anyway, I prefer my human mother. I never knew love until she taught me how.”

Hiei grumbled something into his Chinese carton.

“What? Did you say something?” Kurama took a bite of beef and broccoli.

“No,” he grumbled louder, his nose still hidden in the carton.

“Are you jealous of my mother?” Kurama held back a laugh.

“No,” Hiei said a little too defiantly.

“You are jealous, Itoshii. That’s so cute.”

“I’m not cute!” Hiei was losing his temper.

Suddenly, Kurama had Hiei pinned to the floor under him, “Didn’t I already prove to you that you are?” he worked his hands under the black tank to, grasping and rubbing the smooth aspect of skin.

“Stupid pervert,” Hiei huffed.

“I’m a Youko. What do you expect?” Kurama nibbled on Hiei’s neck, hungrily.

“For you to sleep with a hundred different people…” there was the slightest pang of hurt in the deep voice.

“Is that really what you think?” Kurama rested his body carefully on the smaller frame under him, resting his elbows on either side of Hiei’s torso, studying Hiei considerately, “Are you afraid that I’ll leave you?”

“I’m not afraid of anything,” he turned his head away to stare at the not as interesting as the bright green eyes couch.

“So, you’re saying that it wouldn’t scare you if I went back to see, oh, let’s say, Yomi?”
“Itoshii?” Hiei sat up on his elbows, fear and sadness clear in his large almond shaped eyes.

It made Kurama happy to hear and see this. He smothered Hiei’s body with his own as he placed his lips next to the cute, little ear when a wonderfully fun idea came to mind, “How about instead of screwing a hundred different people, I just… screw you a hundred times as much, hmm?” he ran his tongue through every crevice of Hiei’s ear.

“You know I’m half koorime,” Hiei smirked.

“Yeah, so?”

“We have no sex drive.”

“Oh, really? Well, let’s just see what your fire demon side has to say about that, ne?”
