Scene 7
Thanks for all the great reviews, guys! New faces and old, I was excited to read them all. Yeah, as the mutual consensus goes, this is about to get interesting, folks. IMO ;o)

Scene 7 ----------- Demon World
* Hiei jolts to a stop and looks around the area with his concealed jagan glowing. By the time the subordinate males catch up, several minutes later, he already has a black-flamed fire blazing. He looks up at them from where he’s seated near his fire.
Hiei- We’ll settle here for tonight.
* Dagon scans the darkening sky as the Lynx brothers settle to begin preparing the rabbits they’d caught along the way.
Dagon- We’re in Bat territory.
Hiei- Hn.. I dare any Bat to show himself.
* All their ears catch the growl from a nearby tree.
Hiei- Get down here closer to the fire, Woman!
* After a moment, Sylk drops to the ground and comes over to settle down beside him. Hiei quirks an eyebrow at her quiet obedience.
Dagon- They won’t be a problem for you, Master.
* Dagon sits down on Hiei’s other side.
Dagon- We’ve been in their territory for over an hour.. If there were any that was going to confront you they’d have done it by now.
Hiei- So there’s smart Bat demons? Then the species isn’t a total waste.
Dagon- Rare, I know.
Kumataro- How is it that you know these Bats so well, Crow?
* Both Dagon and Hiei roll their eyes at Kuma’s obvious show of jealousy.
Dagon- Most of the Bat clans here happen to be Cousin Ptera’s cousins on his Sire’s side. Pteruch had lots of siblings.
* Hiei groans.
Hiei- D---.. Is everyone related to each other in this region?!
* Sylk rolls an ear as she half glances at Hiei who has stood up.
Sylk- Inbreeding isn’t an issue for us.
* Hiei looks back down at the black Pantheress.
Sylk- It’s been a common practice here for generations.
Habataro- It keeps the clans as pure as possible.
* Hiei grows quiet, attempting to drop the subject that’s already become a touchy one for him. Sylk looks up at him fully, her yellow eyes narrowed for a moment.
Sylk- It won’t surprise any of us if you should claim your own children when they reach..
Hiei- This is me closing this discussion!
* He turns and moves away angrily for several feet. As he stands at the edge of the ring of dark light that his fire casts he senses a small presence nearby.
Hiei- Show yourself, Shiudu!
* The younger Ninjini materializes obediently, yet nervously. The others watch the Koorime listen to Shironji’s son explain everything he’s learned, but the boy’s speaking too low for their ears to catch everything. Habataro and Dagon both stand when Hiei’s aura flares out suddenly and he grabs up the tiny imp.
Hiei- He what?!
* Hiei closes his eyes, regains his control, and forces himself to release his young servant. Although the process takes several minutes to accomplish. He finally opens his glowing red eyes to look at the cowering, trembling Ninjini.
Hiei- Good work, boy.. You’ll be rewarded.. Your Father already alerted me that something was up, but you should've come to me yourself.. See if you can try to relocate her, Shiudu.. But be thankful that I know who your Father is. Do you understand me?
* Shiudu nods quickly, bows low, and poofs away. Hiei rubs his chin, then moves back closer to the fire, opposite of Sylk and his subordinates, to stare into his flames. His fists clenched. Sylk sighs and glances at the others.
Sylk- There will be trouble tomorrow.
* Hiei half glances at them through the flames, but doesn’t respond. Silence settles over the small encampment and reigns deep into the night. But there isn’t much sleeping amongst them. All are set on edge by their Alpha’s continued unease.
