Hiei's Harem: - Pt. 5 - Searching

I've had a very tragic death in my family today. So this may be the last scene for a couple days. I'm not abandoning the story, just will be busy for the next couple days or so.

Scene 7 ------------- The Waterfall Meadow


* Hiei comes to a quiet landing on a wide branch at the edge of the meadow. He finds Sarista sitting beside the water's edge, hugging her knees, and staring toward the waterfall. Hiei remains on the branch concentrating on the guilt he feels radiating from her through their bond. He fleetingly wonders for a moment how upset all of his pack will be when they learn the truth about him. The next desire is more overwhelming. The desire to get his mate out of her current depression. He also realizes that it's not because of any feelings of lust. Sarista half glances over her shoulder toward the tree he's in.


Sarista- (Quietly) The mating period is over.


* Hiei looks toward her.


Sarista- You won't be driven to be so close to us again for another couple years.


* Hiei scowls and leaps to the ground. He calmly makes his way over to stand looking down at her. She glances up at him.


Sarista- The bond is a two-way thing.. You can feel me and I can feel you.


* Hiei settles to sit down beside her.


Hiei- I guess I'll get used to that eventually.


* Sarista nods.


Sarista- (Quietly) It was because I wasn't strong enough.. again.

Hiei- Your energy is increasing as it should.. As a healer, though, you should know that you can't work miracles.


* Sarista looks at Hiei.


Hiei- Perhaps the.. child, itself, had no will to continue.. She still has five more.. maybe..


* She tilts her head at him for a couple moments, wondering if he's taking the loss harder than he's letting on.


Sarista- Will I reach a level where I'll be able to always heal..?

Hiei- No.. As I said, sometimes death is just meant to be.

Sarista- I thought I was used to loss.

Hiei- You can hide the.. sorrow.. But it never truly goes away.


* Hiei looks toward the water to avoid her searching eyes.


Sarista- Does it bother you? That she lost a baby?


* For a couple moments Hiei doesn't respond. Then he shrugs.


Hiei- Maybe it's my fault.. I told you all I was cursed.. For all I know you all might..


* Hiei catches himself and mentally kicks himself when he notices Sarista place her hand on her middle.


Sarista- No.. Ours is very strong and healthy.


* Hiei looks at her. Once again Hiei's instincts act to draw him over closer to her. He situates himself so that he can embrace her against his chest. He hesitantly places one of his hands down on her belly. He's almost tempted to use his jagan, but Sarista speaks distracting him.


Sarista- The feeding session is no longer necessary.

Hiei- Did I say it had to be? Will it hurt..?


* Sarista smiles softly.


Sarista- No, not at all.


* Hiei leans and captures her lips. Sarista relaxes and responds. Hiei soon learns that without the urgency her heat scent had created he is much more relaxed. His hands aren't rushed as he undresses her. In fact, he even notices the shabby condition of the thin garment and pulls back to inspect it.


Hiei- I'm going to leave when we're done..


* Sarista jerks her eyes up to look at him fearfully.


Sarista- What?!

Hiei- Shh, calm down.. I'm just going over to that village that's not too far away.. All of you need new clothes and it looked like it was a merchant village.

Sarista- Clothes?

Hiei- Hn.. I won't have my mates dressing like common.. peasants.


* Sarista relaxes slowly, then shakes her head with a smile.


Sarista- Such frivoless things are not necessary for us..

Hiei- Am I still the Alpha, 'Rista?

Sarista- Hn.. I didn't say they wouldn't be appreciated.


* She leans to place her head affectionately under his chin. Calmly, Hiei stands and shrugs out of his cloak. Sarista's eyes admire his nakedness.


Sarista- Left your clothes in the West cave, too?

Hiei- No.. That daughter and son of yours have violent tendencies.


* Sarista chuckles and allows Hiei to help her up. He then leads her over to the catchpool. When they are both in the water Sarista goes along with Hiei over to the waterfall. The gentleness he uses as he begins to wash her helps Sarista to relax even more.


Sarista- This is.. nice.

Hiei- Hn.. I don't want you to take every death so personally.

Sarista- It comes with my position, Hiei.. In some ways they are as much my responsibility as yours.. We are the alpha pair.

Hiei- Hn.


* Hiei lifts his eyes from watching where his hands are working to meet her eyes.


Hiei- Did you have to kill to earn your position as I had to?

Sarista- When Gamock first bought me he had only three other females.. They were nothing but weak sluts.. Before I was captured and taken from my clan I was already being trained to replace my Father.. I was his eldest child.

Hiei- So Fire clans have no problem with women being leaders?

Sarista- It amazes me how little you know of your heritage.. Fire or Ice.


* Hiei turns her away from facing him and begins to run his fingers through her soft, rounded spikes.


Sarista- (Quietly) I'm sorry.. I offended you.

Hiei- No. You are correct.. I raised myself. I know very little of my Ice heritage and even less of my Fire.. Most of what I do know about myself came from that gang of b------s that raised me.


* Sarista remains quiet for a few moments as she enjoys Hiei's fingers scrubbing her scalp.


Hiei- How old were you?

Sarista- Hmm?

Hiei- When you were taken from your clan?


* Sarista shakes her head when Hiei lowers his hands. He smirks when her damp, dissheveled spikes return to their rounded flame shape. The Alpha Female then turns to face him again.


Sarista- I was only twelve years old.

Hiei- Why?

Sarista- My clan was a small one.. We kept mostly to ourselves until the leader from a neighboring clan decided that he wanted to expand his territory.. In the battle, My Father was killed.. as well as two of my brothers.. My three sisters and my baby brother were found.. Baby brother was killed immediately. But my three sisters and I were spared.. Until I was bartered away a few days later.

Hiei- Why just you?

Sarista- Because Hitoya learned that I was the one being trained to take my Father's place.. He didn't want to always be watching his back, knowing that it was my sworn duty to avenge Father.


* Sarista lowers herself into the water up to her neck as she lowers her eyes.


Sarista- Hitoya was a cruel man.. Before I was bartered he.. forced me.. He shamed me by violating me and leaving me unmarked.. For Fire demonesses this is an ultimate shame.

Hiei- In doing that it was as if he was saying that you weren't good enough to ever be a proper mate.


* Sarista nods, then looks back up at Hiei. She tilts her head when she feels the spike of shame that floods Hiei's thoughts. Hiei notices her attentions and shakes himself.


Hiei- Well, that Hitoya.. was an idiot.. But his loss is my gain.


* The Koorime bends to capture her lips again. Sarista moans and joins Hiei in a floating, sensual dance as their bodies move against each other in the catchpool. Hiei takes her with a passionate control he never thought he would ever be capable of. Sarista relaxes in his arms, showing no fear as he meticulously brings her to orgasm. As he releases and calms down he works her back toward the shore. He moans quietly against her temple as he works himself out of her, then he helps her up out of the water. Sarista glances at him over her glistening shoulder.


Sarista- Now I need to rest.

Hiei- Hn.. Go ahead.. I'll keep watch until you wake up.


* She nods, allows her eyes to travel his body once more, then moves toward the center of the meadow. She can feel his eyes following her every move as she sinks to lay down on the cool, lush grass. She smiles at him once more.


Sarista- I did make my best decision when I lured you here.

Hiei- Sleep, Woman.


* When she closes her eyes Hiei scans the area with all of his senses as he moves to gather up his cloak. He smirks when an image of Koenma flashes into his mind. He looks up at the sky.


Hiei- Hope you enjoyed that, ya little b------.. I'd much rather you figure out what's going on here with this pack.


* In Spirit World a certain teen Prince 'eeps', blushes completely, and scrambles to snatch up his remote. Koenma then scratches his head a moment before leaving the office to go do that investigating that he 'just remembered' that he was supposed to do.
