Truthfully
...um... Sorry, I didn't really get around to reading all of the reviews... YuehKitsune's had me reading it for half an hour trying to figure out what they were saying... you're not the only confused one anymore...
Anyway... Here's the next chapter, I would have had it up earlier, but my internet decided that it didn't like me... which sucks, cause I have homework that I'd like to think that I can do even though I won't do it... that made sense on some plane in my mind... I think.
Really, thank all of you for reviewing, please do continue to leave them. I absolutely love reading them, although YuehKitsune did manage to make me feel bad then good and then very, very confused.

Chapter 7: Truthfully
*****
“Oi, Hiei, ya gotta cheer up, so you got turned down while making out with your three year long crush, you’re the greatest quarter back this school has ever seen, you can probably get any girl you want. Hey, I happen to know that Mukuro is still trying to stalk you.”
“What trying?” Kuwabara scoffed, “She’s been succeeding since freshman year.”
“I don’t need this right now,” Hiei growled from his hiding place behind his crossed arms on the lunch table. He had been sulking ever since Saturday, even Yukina had known to let Hiei hide in his room alone all weekend.
“Oh, come on man, you’re gonna get over this sooner or later. He wasn’t all that great anyway.”
“Will you shut up?” Hiei growled.
“Hang on, your crushed crush is walking right at us,” Yusuke nudged Hiei in the side with his elbow.
“Good morning, Hiei, Yusuke, Kuwabara,” Kurama bowed to all the boys at the table shyly.
“Yo, what’s goin’ on?”
“Mornin’ man.”
“Hn.”
“Um, Hiei, you… you forgot this at my house,” he set Hiei’s backpack before the quarterback.
“Hn,” he dared a glance into the deep green eyes, but there was nothing there to read. Kurama was able to hide himself very well. He couldn’t even comprehend what the blasted redhead might be thinking.
“… I’ll see you around,” Kurama finally stated after a few awkward moments.
“Hn,” was all Hiei managed as he watched the redhead walk away.
“Oh, yeah, great conversational skill ya got there.”
“Shut up, Urameshi.”
“Yo, man, you’re the one that let ‘the one’ get away.”
“Hey, leave him alone Yusuke, he’s just been dumped. Give him a few classes to think about how stupid he was,” Kuwabara laughed, “I can’t believe you told him.”
“I’ll kill you both.”
“Heh, heh, heh,” the two boys laughed more but stopped abruptly when Hiei slammed his hands on the table before walking off.
“Um, did we go too far?”
“Nah, Hiei’s tough, he knows we’re only teasing. We’ll see him to his normal just grumpy self by practice… I hope.”
*****
Of course Hiei was back to normal by the end of the day, only with an extra bit of hatred in his eyes, and a lot more force in his plays. Being the quarterback, Hiei never really had to fully run the plays, but Hiei refused to pass to anyone, and the short boy plowed through not only the opposing team but his own teammates as well. He took out anyone that stood between him and the goal post. The entire game went this way until the coach finally just pulled the boy out of the game all together.
“God damn it, you fucker,” Hiei shouted at the math teacher.
“That’s it Hiei, I’m tired of your attitude. You’re suspended for the next three games.”
“What? You can’t do that.”
“I just did. Hit the showers.”
“Shit!” Hiei threw his helmet to the ground, running a hand through his flattened hair, bringing it back to its usual status in just a few moments. For reasons unknown to either man, Hiei looked up to see Kurama watching the whole event. With a scowl, Hiei abruptly snapped toward the school doors, and got ready to head home.
“What was that, Hiei?” Kurama was waiting outside of the locker room for the short boy to finish.
“What does it matter?”
“I am your friend. I want to help you. Is it your grades again?”
“No.”
“Then why did he kick you out of the game?”
“That ass. He cares more about team work than winning.”
“Isn’t that what a team sport is about?”
“I hate teams.”
“Then why not quit?”
“Why not shut up and leave me alone?” Hiei scoffed, but his wrist was suddenly grabbed by the long fingered, soft hand, “Let me go, Kurama. I won’t warn you again.”
“Tell me, Hiei.”
“Kurama,” he suddenly switched the grasp and pulled the taller man closer to him, but at the last second side stepped, tripping Kurama in the process, and easily straddled Kurama's lower back, pinning his arms to his sides.
“What are you doing?”
“I warned you. Now leave me alone, or I won’t stop at just pinning you,” Hiei growled, his hand pressing down on the thin, pale neck.
Kurama had to sit, and get his breathing to slow down before he could find the will to stand up about five minutes after Hiei left.
*****
‘Why won’t he leave me alone?’ What does it matter to him? He’s the one who told me to me to get out of his house. This is not my problem,’ he tried to convince himself that his guilt was pointless, but he lost miserably in the end. He had decided to walk home in hopes of cooling off before he saw Yukina. She had seen him through too much, and she didn’t need to see this.
‘Stupid Kurama,’ he thought as made it down the last block to his house. It was a five mile trek, so he was about as calm as he was going to get for the night.
“Ah, welcome home, brother,” Yukina greeted sweetly as ever.
“Hn,” he nodded as usual.
“Oh, Kurama called, he sounded very worried, so I told him I’d ask you to call him back.”
“I’m not calling him.”
“If you say so, but he’s been calling every half hour.”
“Hn, when he calls again, tell him… tell him I’m out shopping or something.”
“If you say so,” she let out a heavy sigh.
Hiei was working out on the punching bag in his room when he heard the phone ring, and Yukina picked up.
“Hello…? No, sorry, he came home, but I had to send him out to pick up dinner… Yes, I’m sorry, I’ll tell him, and make sure that he does … Of course, yes, you, too. Good night.”
“Hn, thanks,” he nodded to her.
“Don’t thank me just yet. You’re talking to Kurama tomorrow at lunch,” she waved him back into his room, “Dinner will be ready in half an hour.”
Hiei glared at his sister for once in his life. Sometimes Yukina went a little too far when she thought she was doing the best for him.
“And don’t think that you can get away with being sick tomorrow,” she called after him, and he could hear the little smirk in her voice. She didn’t act like it, but she could be very conniving and underhanded when necessary, and she was ten times worse than Hiei when she did so.
*****
“Mm,” it was a wonderful dream… the sky was perfectly clear, the sun bright and there was a light breeze blowing over the large clearing. Hiei smiled softly up at the lovely redhead above him, and the two were lost in one another’s eyes.
“You’re so beautiful,” the deep voice murmured as he sat up to capture the full, soft lips he had been yearning for since the first time he had laid eyes on them.
“Hm? Am I?” Kurama whispered into Hiei’s hot mouth.
“The most beautiful creature ever created,” he assured.
“Then prove it,” the alto voice teased, lightly running his long fingers through the spiky hair.
“How shall I prove it? I would paint you if I thought that the canvas could hold such a lovely being and do you justice. I’d put it down in words, but your sparkling eyes could never make it past the black ink used to pour words on to pale, flat paper.”
“Shh,” Kurama pressed a finger to the lyrical lips, “you’re too perfect for words, my beloved.”
“That title belongs to you, my amazingly beautiful, intelligent lover.”
“Hm,” he sighed and leaned more into the rough hand that was now rubbing against his cheek.
“I love you,” Hiei nearly purred as he captured the voluptuous lips again and pressed the redhead into the soft, dewy grass and slowly opened the taller man’s uniform.
“Oh?” Kurama giggled as he was undressed and started to moan under the other boy’s assault. Things quickly became over heated even though both were naked to the cool, midday air, “Ah, Hiei, please… please, fuck me.”
“Hn,” Hiei smiled before Kurama's eyes, and the redhead couldn’t think of anything more beautiful than this boy’s smile.
He felt a little baffled at the fact that none of this bothered him; Hiei’s hands upon his hips and his ass being filled with Hiei’s large arousal.
It was absolutely incredible.
****
Sweat was pouring down Kurama's pale but flushed face as he sat up from his amazing dream. It…it had felt good to be under dream Hiei, and he slightly recalled the kiss from before he shoved the shorter boy out of his room. He still felt guilty, and his heart wrenched at the memory of those cold, almost lifeless eyes, but a slip of agony was in there as well, taunting him cruelly. He was guilty of hurting that poor creature. Hiei had been through enough with his parents’ horrific death, and now it was just him and his sister?
With a heavy sigh, Kurama slid from his bed and took a long cold shower. Many things were going through his mind, but his body was obviously still focused on Hiei’s muscled form moving over him, thrusting in roughly yet lovingly. “Oh!” his hand accidentally brushed against his arousal, and a jerk of pleasure ran through him for an instant. He had never touched himself… he had never felt the need. When he was with Maya he had never felt the need… not that she sated any just that they didn’t exist. She was very beautiful, but for some reason even kissing with tongue had made him feel a little awkward. It was almost like kissing his sister, if he had had one, but Hiei… Hiei was like an amazing fire of passion, who let their tongues slide together and between their lips rather than trying to make him choke on the feeling of having it jammed down his throat.
It wasn’t right though. Two men shouldn’t feel this way about one another. No! That way! *That* way! He didn’t feel the same about Hiei. It was a one-sided love. He couldn’t love a man. It just wasn’t done. He was raised to know better. A man and a woman were to love one another and then raise a family of 2.5 children, grow old and then… die happily?
“…I love you…” Hiei’s voice passed through his head as he continued to wash his erection, only to find himself even more aroused.
It had only been through that door where he had the shorter teenager pinned between himself and the bed, which led to Hiei’s confession. Now that he thought about it, he had been on the verge of saying something stupid as well, but it was more like, ‘God, Hiei, I want you so much.’
“Shu…Kurama?” a knock brought him back from his thoughts centered around the star quarterback.
“Y-yes, mother?” he folded over in the shower, almost knocking over bottles.
“What would you like for breakfast? I don’t have to be in work until late, so I can take you to school if you would like.”
“Ah, um, yes, thank you very much, mother, scrambled eggs will be fine.”
“They’ll be ready by the time you’re out of the shower.”
“Thank you,” he let a breath that he had been holding out, and continued to stroke his hardening member.
He wasn’t even sure as to why he had wanted to kiss another boy in such a way, but the yearning was still getting to him, and he wanted to feel that heat again, pressed completely against his body.
“Mother…” he approached the subject slowly.
“Here’s your breakfast,” she smiled, placing a plate with eggs, rice, and covered in ketchup, “Really, Shuuichi, I don’t know how you can eat it like that.”
“Because I have taste?”
“Or lacking,” smirked, sitting down with her cup of coffee, “So, you wanted to talk about the boy you have a crush on?”
“Yes… I… what?” he nearly choked as his mother giggled at him.
“Oh, sweetie, I’ve known for a while that you weren’t exactly straight.”
“But… I was dating Maya for almost four years, and you thought that I still didn’t like girls?”
“I thought she was just a phase. And guess what, she was,” she smiled, “You denied it, but I thought it weird that your girlfriend would suddenly be dropped the second that this Hiei, is it, came in to the scene.”
“So… I am gay?”
“It’s nothing to be ashamed of. If you can find the person that makes you truly happy no matter the gender, please, do not make the mistake of passing up their love.”
“…” Kurama silently picked at his breakfast for a little while.
*****
It had turned out to be another day like any other before Hiei had actually started talking to the redhead, only now there was hopelessness where there were once wishes and wet dreams. Kurama had no wish to love another man. He had been curious, and Hiei thought that he had felt the redhead’s arousal pressing into his thigh. Oh, no, wrong place to think about that. The football player tried to get up discreetly, but the redhead from his previous thoughts was now standing before him.
“Good afternoon, Hiei, Yusuke, Kuwabara,” he bowed to every single one of them, “May I speak to you privately?”
“I don’t think you deserve that right,” the slightly shorter teen stood to block Kurama's way.
“I don’t believe I was speaking to you,” Kurama responded coldly, placing a hand on Yusuke’s shoulder, and finding a pressure point so his knees gave out and he was sitting down again.
“What the hell was that? Are you looking for a fight?” Yusuke threatened, although when seated and staring up at the already taller boy, he wasn't very threatening.
“You wouldn’t win,” Hiei stated in a bored tone.
“What? You think ‘Mr. Perfect’ is gonna kick my ass? I’ll show you,” but it seemed his legs were still refusing to listen to him.
“Does the entire school refer to me as ‘Mr. Perfect’?”
“He’s a black belt, although he won't admit it, you’d be knocked out in less than a minute.”
“I’m willing to test that,” he growled.
“No, really, I don’t see why people call me that,” Kurama continued his own conversation.
“Leave him alone. Besides even if you do beat him, his fan girls will be out for your blood.”
“That’s true, and I’m already in deep shit with Keiko for my grades.”
“I mean, I make a lot of mistakes… So I’m good at running, and I study hard… I mean I won the class presidency because I’m sort of popular, but really I have a lot of flaws…”
“What is he mumbling about?” Kuwabara leaned over to ask Hiei.
“I don’t know,” he stated, punctuating each word as he gave Kurama a very confused look.
“…” finally realizing that he was talking to himself, the redhead gave a weary smile, “Hiei?”
The shorter teen glared at the hand he was being offered. What was Kurama up to? Didn’t he know that if he touched that smooth skin he would never be able to let go.
“Hiei? There’s something that we need to talk about.”
“Are you two gonna be in the boy’s bathroom?” Kuwabara stood, “Cause I gotta go.”
“No, you’re safe. Hiei, would you please go on a walk with me?”
“…Hn…”
“Thank you,” he gave a soft smile that made Hiei feel a little light headed, and the hand that now encompassed his own had him feeling almost faint. He was so surprised that he didn’t really take in the fact that their fingers had twined together as they headed toward the back where students were allowed to eat during the warmer days of the school year, but it was getting close to winter, so not too many students were willing to eat outside.
“What is it that you wanted to talk about?” he stared at their linked hands. He was way too confused. First Kurama starts a make out session, then he wants Hiei out for saying that he loved him, and now they were holding hands and going out to speak privately.
“Can I kiss you once more?”
“What?” Hiei nearly growled, “Isn’t that what started this mess? I only came to talk because I told Yukina I would.”
“You don’t want to kiss me?” Kurama gave a coy smile as he pulled Hiei closer to him.
“Stop it. I have my pride. I will not be your experimental play-toy anymore.”
“Then why did you let me before?”
“You know the answer to that,” he ground out, pushing away from the redhead, who he loved greatly. It hurt, but he wasn’t going to be used and then scorned all over again.
“Hiei!”
“Hn,” he stormed off, or at least tried to, a soft pale hand stopped him before he could get away, “Let go if you value your life.”
“I will not.”
“You know that I can seriously injure you, correct?” he scowled, but kept from looking in the beautiful eyes.
“Something tells me that you aren’t truly willing to hurt me.”
“I didn’t care when I let the assassins in to kill my parents. What make you think that I’m not willing to see another dead body? What if I told you that it fascinated me, and I would be willing to see another sight such as that?”
“Y-you don’t mean that.”
“How would you know? I’m just a dumb jock, right?”
“I never said that!”
“Out loud.”
Kurama had no response. Hiei was right. He had thought of him as nothing but a pathetic jock when they first met…
“If you are quite through,” he growled, snatching his wrist free from the suddenly loose grasp, and walked away.
“…”
“Thanks for the tutoring, I think I can take it from here,” Hiei said his good byes to the stumped redhead.
“W-was I just… dumped?” he wanted to laugh. That had never happened before. Of course he had never really wanted to be with another male before. He usually got bored of the females he had been with and explained to them why it was for the better if they just broke up, and they would get over it… “I was just dumped!” he nearly exclaimed to any possible passersby.
He felt he’d gone hysterical. There were so many things that were confusing him, all of which revolved around Hiei.
*****
“So?” both Yusuke and Kuwabara poked at Hiei, “What did he say? What did he want? Did he try to rape you?”
“So what? Nothing of your business, same thing as before, and no, so, screw off.”
“You’re no fun, you know that?” Kuwabara pouted while Yusuke held Hiei in a headlock, giving him a noogie to get the information out of him.
“It is none of your business as to what happened between me and Kurama.”
“You got dissed again, didn’t you?”
“Hn,” Hiei rolled his eyes.
“Actually,” Kurama came in chuckling to himself, and quickly walked away after explaining, “He was the one to do the dissing.”
“Are you serious?” the dark haired teen gaped as ‘Mr. Perfect’ walked into the stairwell.
“After all the shit that you went through…” Kuwabara ran a hand through his orange hair, “and you turn him down?”
The football team captain was surprised when both the taller boys turned on him, and shouted, “Are you stupid?!”

~TBC~
Well... eventually it will be continued... ugh, my contacts are so messed up, so sorry if there are too many writing errors. Oh, and if you see any faults in the story, please let me know. I'm sure that there are already plenty, but I usually don't go back and reread my stories before I start writing agin, which is bad, because I forget a lot of important details. So, just let me know.

Well... eventually it will be continued... ugh, my contacts are so messed up, so sorry if there are too many writing errors. Oh, and if you see any faults in the story, please let me know. I'm sure that there are already plenty, but I usually don't go back and reread my stories before I start writing agin, which is bad, because I forget a lot of important details. So, just let me know.
